        1st Race:     123. The Ghataprabha Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200
         7 Runners     Metres. Horses rated 00 to 30.
        
                       MISS LIBERTY (Ryan Marshall) was very fractious in 
                  the  gates.  Under the circumstances it  was  withdrawn 
                  before coming under Starter's orders.
        
                       BANDANNA (S. Ramesh) planted in the starting gates 
                  and  lost  many lengths at the start. In  view  of  its 
                  behaviour trainer Mr. S.K. Habib Khan was informed that 
                  he  must not accept with it again until  its  behaviour 
                  improved  to the satisfaction of the  Stipendiary  Ste-
                  wards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
                       SCINTILLATINGSTYLE  (D.Mahendran) burst its  blood 
                  vessels after the race.  Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj  was 
                  informed  that  he must produce a  Fitness  Certificate 
                  from  the  Club's Veterinary Officer  before  accepting 
                  with it again. 
        
                       The  Stipendiary  Stewards  reported  trainer  Mr. 
                  Samar  Singh and Jockey K. Chethana to the Stewards  in 
                  connection  with the running and riding of  COMMANDPER-
                  FORMANCE  in  the  above race.  The  Stewards  held  an 
                  enquiry  and  interviewed trainer Mr. Samar  Singh  and 
                  Jockey K. Chethana.  After deliberations, they  decided 
                  to  (a) note the explanations tendered by  trainer  Mr. 
                  Samar  Singh;  and  (b) suspend  the  Jockey's  Licence 
                  granted  to Jockey K. Chethana from 28-1-2008  to  1-2-
                  2008  (both  days inclusive) for  incompetent  handling 
                  (Rule  No.161(ii) of his mount  COMMMANDPERFORMANCE  in 
                  the above race (permitted to ride work).   
        
        2nd Race:     124. The Ghataprabha Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200
         8 Runners     Metres. Horses rated 00 to 30.
        
                       ASTONICAL (Jagdish Shukla) reared up in the start-
                  ing  gates as the start was effected thereby  losing  a 
                  few  lengths  at the start. In view  of  its  behaviour 
                  trainer  Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must  not 
                  accept  with it again until its behaviour  improved  to 
                  the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Steward in one jump 
                  out on a starting gate practice day. 
        
                       Jockey R. Ravi, the rider of REPLENISH, was  fined 
                  Rs.2,000/- for losing his position approaching the  800 
                  Metres for no apparent reason.
        
                       Trainer  Mr. Faraz Arshad and Jockey R. Ravi  were 
                  questioned regarding the running and riding of  REPLEN-
                  ISH in the above race. Their explanations were noted.
        
        
                       Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was questioned regarding 
                  the  running of his charge ACTION HERO (Harish) in  the 
                  above  race  and also as to the reason for  running  in 
                  varied distance.
        
        3rd Race:     125. The W.J.Sibbritt Memorial Plate - (About) 2000
         6 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70.
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b g SAPTASHWA. 
        
        4th Race:     126. The Karnataka Racehorse Owners' Association 
         5 Runners    Trophy-(About) 1200 Metres. For 3 year old Indian
                      Horses (Foaled in 2005) based in Karnataka (Terms).
        
                       Jockey S. Babu, the rider of ELITE EMPIRE, report-
                  ed  that his mount was inclined to run out between  900 
                  Metres  and  700 Metres. Trainer Mr. S.  Ganapathy  was 
                  informed  to take appropriate remedial measures  before 
                  accepting with it again. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b f ALCMENE. 
        
        5th Race:     127. The Chatrapathi Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. 
         9 Runners    Horses rated 60 to 90.
        
                       HEROINES BEAUTY (R.Koch) took a fly jump and  lost 
                  considerable  ground  at  the start.  In  view  of  its 
                  behaviour  trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed that  he 
                  must  not  accept  with it again  until  its  behaviour 
                  improved  to the satisfaction of the  Stipendiary  Ste-
                  wards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day. 
        
                       RENASCENT (Suraj Narredu) pulled up lame after the 
                  race.  Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was informed that  he 
                  must  produce  a Fitness Certificate  from  the  Club's 
                  Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
                       Jockey  Md. Shafiq, the rider of MADAM  RICH,  re-
                  ported that his mount was hanging `out' throughout  the 
                  race.  Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was informed  to  take 
                  appropriate remedial measures before accepting with  it 
                  again. 
        
        6th Race:    128. The January Plate-(About) 1100 Metres. Maiden
        10 Runners    Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms).
        
                       FANTASTIC FLAME (K. Raja Rao) was examined at  the 
                  gates  and  was observed to be trotting short  on  both 
                  fore.  Under the circumstances the horse was  withdrawn 
                  on  veterinary  grounds. Trainer Mr.  Karan  Singh  was 
                  informed  to  produce a Fitness  Certificate  from  the 
                  Club's  Veterinary  Officer before  accepting  with  it 
                  again. 
        
                       Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of SPLENDID POWER, 
                  reported  that his mount was running  green  throughout 
                  the  race.  Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was  informed  to 
                  take  appropriate  remedial measures  before  accepting 
                  with it again. 
        
                      The Stipendiary Stewards reported Trainer Mr. R.V. 
                  Manohar  and Jockey M. Ravi to the Stewards in  connec-
                  tion with the running and riding of BLUSHING BEAM.  The 
                  Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and inter-
                  viewed  Trainer  Mr. R.V. Manohar and Jockey  M.  Ravi.  
                  After  deliberations, they decided to (a) fine  Trainer 
                  Mr.  R.V. Manohar a sum of Rs.10,000/- for  unsatisfac-
                  tory  explanation tendered during the enquiry; and  (b) 
                  suspend the Jockey's licence granted to Jockey M.  Ravi 
                  from  16-2-2008 to 31-3-2008 (both days inclusive)  for 
                  unsatisfactory  riding (Rule No.161(ii)) on  his  mount 
                  BLUSHING  BEAM  in the above race  (permitted  to  ride 
                  work).
        
        7th Race:     129. The Ranganathittu Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. 
        12 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 50.
        
                       Jockey  K.P.G.  Appu, the  rider  of  CRACKERJACK, 
                  reported  that he could not get a clear run soon  after 
                  the start due to a tightly packed field. 
        
                       Jockey K. Narasimha, the rider of SPIRITED COMMAN-
                  DER, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting `out' and  caus-
                  ing  interference to CRACKERJACK (K.P.G. Appu)  on  his 
                  outside approaching the 1200 Metres.
        
                       Jockey  Vivek, the rider of ROYAL  HERO,  reported 
                  that  his mount was hanging `in' throughout  the  race.  
                  Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was informed to take  appro-
                  priate  remedial  measures  before  accepting  with  it 
                  again. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner gr g SURPRISE PACKAGE.

        Permission  was  granted to trainer Mr B. Shiva  to  deputise  on 
        behalf  of trainer Mr. M.P. Mahaesh who was unable to attend  the 
        races.
