1st Race: 99. The Summer Dust Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200
9 Runners Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50.
TRAFALGAR SQUARE(S. Ramesh) stumbled approaching
the 800 Metres.
Jockey S. Ramesh, the rider of TRAFALGAR QUARE,
was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the
winning post.
2nd Race: 100. The New Year Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres.
8 Runners Indian Horses 3 years old only at the time of
starting. (Terms).
Trainer Mr. Karan Singh was fined Rs.500/- for
making an error in the declaration of weight in respect
of his charge MUSIC ON DEMAND.
Trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar was fined Rs.500/- for
making an error in the declaration of weight in respect
of his charge RUDIMENTARY.
Trainer Mr. N.A. Ponnappa was fined Rs.500/- for
making an error in the declaration of weight in respect
of his charge VOICE OF INDIA.
Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was fined Rs.500/- for
making an error in the declaration of weight in respect
of his charge SABARI.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of ADAMARIS,
reported that his mount was running green throughout
the race. Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was informed to
take appropriate remedial measures before accepting
with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the
winner gr g EXCLUSIVE GREY.
3rd Race: 101. The Summer Dust Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200
8 Runners Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50.
Jockey Vivek, the rider of GOOD COMPANION, was
fined Rs.3,000/- for coming `in' and causing severe
interference to TYCOON OF STARS (B. Prakash) on his
inside was checked by its rider. As a result STANZA
STARRY (Gaurav Sapra) running behind also had to be
checked by the rider passing the 900 Metres.
TYCOON OF STARS (B. Prakash) was observed to have
drifted out violently passing the 800 Metres. On ques-
tioning Jockey B. Prakash stated that his mount was
inclined to hang out very badly. TYCOON OF STARS (B.
Prakash) was examined soon after the race and the
Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to
have sharp molars on both sides of the jaw. Trainer
Mr. R.V. Manohar was informed to get it checked by his
Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures
before accepting with it again.
MASTER STRATEGIST (M.D. Praveen) sustained a cut
injury on right fore cannon.
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Gaurav
Sapra to the Stewards for willfully failing to attend
and give evidence before the Stewards for the enquiry
in connection with his riding on his mount STANZA
STARRY in the above race on 4th January 2008 after the
last race. They interviewed Jockey Gaurav Sapra and
Mr. M. Eshwer, trainer of the horse on 5-1-2008.
After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Jock-
ey's Licence granted to Jockey Gaurav Sapra with effect
from 15-1-2008 to 31-3-2008 and should he apply for the
grant of Jockey's Licence for the season 2008-09 not to
grant the same till 30-6-2008 for contravention of Rule
No.202 (vi) of the BTC Rules of Racing in not attending
the enquiry held by the Stewards on 4-1-2008 in connec-
tion with his riding on his mount STANZA STARRY in the
above race (not permitted to ride work during the above
said period).
The Stipendiary Stewards reported trainer Mr. M.
Eshwer and Jockey Gaurav Sapra in connection with the
running and riding of STANZA STARRY. The Stewards held
an enquiry after the last race on 5-1-2008 and inter-
viewed trainer Mr. M. Eshwer and Jockey Gaurav Sapra.
After deliberations they decided to (a) suspend the
trainer's licence granted to trainer Mr. M. Eshwer with
effect from 15-1-2008 to 31-3-2008 and should he apply
for the grant of Trainer's licence for the season 2008-
09 not to grant the same till 31-7-2008 for unsatisfac-
tory running of his charge STANZA STARRY in the above
race and for tendering false and misleading evidence
and inconsistent explanation before the Stewards during
the enquiry held in connection with the running of his
charge STANZA STARRY in the above race; and (b) Jock-
ey's Licence if granted to Jockey Gaurav Sapra after
30th June 2008 shall remain suspended from 1-7-2008 to
31-7-2008 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory
riding on his mount STANZA STARRY in the above race
(permitted to ride work during the said period).
4th Race: 102. The Kelachandra New Millennium Cup - (About)
6 Runners 1400 Metres. Indian Horses 4 years old and over at
the time of starting. (Terms).
Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was fined Rs.500/- for
making an error in the declaration of weight in respect
of his charge BADGE OF GOLD.
Jockey Vivek, the rider of ROYAL AMBASSADOR,
reported that he lost his whip approaching the 300
Metres.
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey S.A.
D'Souza to the Stewards for the excessive use of the
whip on his mount WOMAN ON TOP during the race (3rd
infringement). The Stewards held an enquiry after the
last race and interviewed Jockey S.A. D'Souza. After
deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey S.A.
D'Souza from riding in races from 14-1-2008 to 18-1-
2008 (both days inclusive) for the excessive use of
whip on his mount WOMAN ON TOP during the race (3rd
infringement).
The Stewards ordered and held an enquiry after the
last race into the relatively poor performance of GREEN
BAX which ran unplaced in the above race in relation to
the previous runs in race No.4 i.e. The Rajyotsava
Trophy-(About) 1400 Metres for Indian Horses 3 years
old and over on 9-11-2007 when ridden by Jockey K.P.G.
Appu it placed 2nd and also Race No.44 i.e. The Banga-
lore Turf Club Trophy-(About) 1200 Metres, for Indian
horses 3 years old and over on 1-12-2007 when ridden by
Jockey J.H. Christopher it placed 3rd. They held an
enquiry and interviewed trainer Mr. M. Eshwer. After
deliberations, they decided to fine trainer Mr. M.
Eshwer a sum of Rs.10,000/- for the inconsistent run-
ning of his charge GREEN BAX in the above race in
relation to the previous runs in Race Nos.4 and 44 of
the Bangalore Winter Meeting 2007-08.
5th Race: 103. The Kehlan Stud Plate - Div.I-(About) 1400
8 Runners Metres. Horses rated 60 to 90, 5 and 6 years old at
the time of starting.

6th Race: 104. The Kalinadi Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
12 Runners Horses rated 40 to 70.
BILLY BLACKJACK (J. Paswan) lost few lengths at
the start. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. Warren
Singh (deputising for trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar) was
informed that he must not accept with it again until
its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the
Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on starting gate
practice day.
Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala and Jockey B.L. Paswan
were questioned regarding the running and riding of
SUGAR BROWN and their explanations were noted.
TOP OF THE CLASS (S. John) sustained an injury on
right hind fetlock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the
winner b f AELENIA.
7th Race: 105. The Kehlan Stud Plate - Div.II-(About) 1400
8 Runners Metres. Horses rated 60 to 90, 5 and 6 years old at
the time of starting.
Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi, was questioned re-
garding the running of his charge CHARLIE BROWN in the
above race. The Trainer's explanations were noted.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from dkb g
CHARLIE BROWN.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the
winner b m ORPENDALE.

Permission was granted to trainers M/s.Arjun Mangalorkar and
Warren Singh to deputise on behalf of trainers M/s. S. Padmanab-
han and Sharat Kumar who were unable to attend the races.
