(False Rails - Width of 2 Metres from 1600 Metres to the Winning Post.) 1st Race: 7. The Dandeli Plate-Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. 8 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50. Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Darius Byramji to withdraw LIGHTNIN BLUES (Gaurav Sapra) on veterinary grounds as it was lame on right fore due to inflammed tendon. He was informed to produce Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Jockey Ranjeet Singh, the rider of YOU AND I, reported that his mount was hanging `out' in the last 300 Metres. Trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian before accepting with it again. SMART COLLECTION (Ashwin Rao) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was informed to ensure that his charge was capable of better perfor- mance in future. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g MYSTIFIED. 2nd Race: 8. The Sarb-Kla Plate-Div-II-(About) 1200 Metres. 9 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50. Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu, the rider of SOUTH PARA- DISE, reported that his whip got entangled in the mein rounding the final bend and as such he could not use his whip for some time. Jockey Md. Shafiq, the rider of PRETTY N FAST was questioned regarding the handling of his mount. The Jockey stated that as his horse was blind on the right eye it was tending to lug in all through the race despite his best efforts to keep it on a straight course. Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was informed to take appropriate remedial measures before accepting with it again. 3rd Race: 9. The Dandeli Plate-Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. 8 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50. Jockey S. Ramesh was questioned regarding the riding of his mount MANTHARA in the above race. The Jockey stated that the blinkers on his mount got loose soon after the start and was partially obstructing the vision of the horse and his mount was not galloping fiercely during the race. Trainer Mr. Mohd. Khan was informed to be careful while fastening the equipment in future. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SOUTHERN CHIEFTAN. 4th Race: 10. The Abbey Falls Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. 6 Runners Horses rated 80 and above. AURA (K.P.G. Appu) planted in the gates and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. UPPER CRUST (S. John) and SUGAR BLAZE (Vinod Shinde) drifted out under pressure during the final stages of the race. 5th Race: 11. The Air Force Trophy - (About) 1400 Metres. 12 Runners Horses rated 40 to 70. Jockey S. Ramesh, the rider of CIAMPINO reported that his left rein snapped soon after jumping out of the starting gates and as such he had to ride without the aid of the equipment and could not offer sufficient assistance to his mount. On examination of the equip- ment after the race it was observed to have been other- wise well maintained and such no further action was taken beyond noting the incident. Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of SOBERANO, was reprimanded for looking back during the final stages of the race for no apparent reason. Trainer Mr. S.Padmanabhan was questioned regarding the relatively poor performance of his charge RIVER ISLAND (V. Sunil Kumar) in the above race. The trainer stated that as his charge was running after a gap of more than 3 months, and that it might have needed this run and further after observing the performance of his charge in the above race, in his opinion a six furlong race would be more ideal for his charge. His explana- tions were noted. 6th Race: 12. The Punjab Stud Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. 8 Runners Horses rated 60 to 90. Jockey K. Raja Rao, the rider of NATIONAL TRUST, was reprimanded for not maintaining a proper course whereby he came `in' and inconvenienced ALEJANDROS (Vinod Shinde) on his inside approaching the 900 Me- tres. Trainer Mr. Darius R Byramji and Jockey Suraj Narredu were questioned regarding the running and riding of ROMANTIC SCENE. The trainer stated that as the horse does not relish to be raced in front he had instructed the rider to suitably ride his own race. AS per his observation the rider was always tracking the winner of the race and after entering the straight his charge did not accelerate well and did not get a clear run on the inside. He further added that his instruc- tions in future will be to ride it from behind. The rider corroborated the statement of the trainer. Their explanations were noted. ROMANTIC SCENE (Suraj Narredu) sustained cut injuries on left hock and cannon. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f WONDER SMILE. 7th Race: 13. The Sarb-Kla Plate-Div-I-(About) 1200 Metres. 9 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50. Jockey S. Selvaraj was questioned regarding the handling of his mount. While noting his explanation he was informed that he should make every effort to im- prove his riding in future. Jockey B. Prakash, the rider of LATINO MAGIC, was reprimanded for coming `in' and inconveniencing INDIAN SWIFT (Suraj Narredu) which passed it on to DOCK OF BAY (S.
