(False Rails - Width of 4.5 Metres from 1600 Metres to the Winning Post.) 1st Race: 23. The Melkote Plate -(About) 1200 Metres. 8 Runners. Maiden Indian Horses 2 years old only. NIL
2nd Race: 24. The Kempegowda Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. 3 Runners 3-year-old Indian Horses (foaled in 2004) (Terms). LOGANS RUN (C D Hayes) was extremely fractious inside the gates, whereby it was injured on the left fore cannon and was trotting lame. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's Order. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
3rd Race: 25. The Bellary Plate - (About) 1600 7 Runners Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50. Trainer Mr. G Nityanand was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for his negligence in accepting his charge, PLUM PUDDING, to run in the above race without producing it in a Mock Race to the satis faction of the Stipendiary Stewards when it had been specifically advised. Hence, it was permitted to be withdrawn from the above race. ROYAL TSARINA (S John) was slow into the strides and lost a few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a Starting Gate Practice Day. Jockey Vijay Kumar the rider of PAINT ME RED reported that he could not get a clear run soon after jumping out of the gates due to the crowding of the field. Jockey S John the rider of ROYAL TSARINA was reprimanded for attempting to force a passage along the rails, approaching the 400 Metres, where there was no sufficient room. ALLEYESONME (Ahsan Qureshi) sustained a cut injury on right hind tendon. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b.g. SONTAG ETOILE.
4th Race: 26. The P. Anthony Memorial Plate-Div.I-(About) 9 Runners 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70. Jockey Ashwin Rao the rider of PERFECT TRIBUTE was reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course, approching the 200 Metres. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b.f. PERFECT TRIBUTE.
5th Race: 27. The Dariya Daulat Trophy -(About) 1400 Metres
9 Runners,Horses rated 80 and above. EXCLUSIVE GESTURE (S Ramesh) reared up as the gates opened and lost some ground at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a Starting Gate Practice Day. Jockey S A De Sousa the rider of CHIQUITITA was fined Rs.5,000/- for coming 'in' and causing very severe interference to GAME FIGHTER (Suraj Narredu) on his inside,approaching the 900 Metres. Jockey Gaurav Sapra the rider of CONFIDENT VICTORY reported that he lost his whip, approaching the final 100 Metres.
6th Race: 28. The Beloved Prince Plate - (About) 11 Runners 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50, 4 and 5 years Old. Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. V Lokanath to withdraw MEXIKAN WAVE (Vivek) on veterinary ground, as it was lame on left fore. He was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Jockey V R Jagadeesh the rider of GO GO BOY was fined Rs.2,000/- for not persevering with his mount during the race. LONGITUDE (Nasir Imam) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was informed to ensure that his charge was capable of a better performance in future. CARIBBEAN PIRATE (Gaurav Sapra) burst its blood vessels after the race. Trainer Mr. G Nityanand was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, ch.g. REGAL MUSIC.
7th Race: 29.The P. Anthony Memorial Plate - Div. II. 9 Runners (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70. Jockey S Selvaraj the rider of SUGAR BROWN was questioned regard ing the handling of his mount in the race. He was cautioned in the presence of Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala that he should make every effort to improve his riding in future and such inept handling will entail him being reported to the Stewards for disciplinary action. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b.f.
