(False Rails: Width of 4.5 Metres from 1600 Metres to 1000 Metres and 8.5 Metres from 1000 Metres to the winning post.) 1st Race: 92.The Novice Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden 12 Runners Indian Horses 2 years old only (Terms). Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of FELICITAD, was reprimanded for the delay in mounting the horse in the paddock. Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of GLORY BOUND, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting `in' and causing interference to PHOENIX REACH (S. Babu) on his inside approaching the 900 Metres. Jockey S. Chandrashekar, the rider of CUTE STYLE, reported that his mount was shying away approaching the 900 Metres. Jockey Vivek, the rider of MAN UNITED, was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming `in' and causing interference to SEVEN STAR (C.D. Hayes) on his inside approaching the 850 Metres. OUT IN STYLE (M. Ravi) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar was informed to ensure better performance of his charges in future failing which he will be reported to the Stewards for suitable action. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g PRINCE VILLE. 2nd Race: 93.The Kakanakote Plate-(About) 1400 Metres. Horses 10 Runners rated 00 to 30. COUELLE (S. Shiva Kumar) sustained injuries on right fore coronet and left hind gaskin. ORANGED ORCHARD (B.L. Paswan) sustained an injury on left hind cannon. The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of LATIN TWISTER to the Stewards for careless riding in that approaching the 900 Metres he shifted out badly and caused very severe interference to QUEEN OF SPEED (V.R. Jagadeesh) on his outside which in turn passed it on to PRINCESS TAARA (V. Sunil Kumar) and TRACK WONDER (J.H. Chrostopher) on the far side whereby Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh got momentarily unbal- anced on his mount and for further for not exercising sufficient control over his mount thereby striking the front runner COUELLE (S. Shiva Kumar) and losing bal- ance approaching the 800 Metres. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey Vinod Shinde. After deliberations they decided to suspend the Jockey's licence granted to Jockey Vinod Shinde from 8-1-2008 to 12-1-2008 (both days inclusive) for careless riding (Rule No.161(ii)) on his mount LATIN TWISTER (permitted to ride work). 3rd Race: 94. The Kollegal Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. 8 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50. Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the starting declaration in respect of his charge ZAIOS as regards shoeing. Jockey K. Chethana, the rider of BRAVE ARJUN, was reprimanded for coming `in' sharply and inconveniencing STARRY VIEW (Vivek) on his inside approaching the 1000 Metres. BRAVE ARJUN (K. Chethana) burst its blood vessels after the race. Trainer Mr.Samar Singh was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Ve- terinary Officer before accepting with it again. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dkb f CALLISTA. 4th Race: 95. The T.B. Hanumantharaj Memorial Cup-(About) 10 Runners 1400 Metres. For horses rated 40 to 70. ALCHESAYE (C.D. Hayes) planted at the starting gates and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was informed that he must not accept with it again until its be- haviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. Jockey J.H. Christopher, the rider of MILFORD, reported that he could not get a clear run soon after jumping out of the starting gates due to a tightly packed field. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g FLAMING LAMIBORGINI. 5th Race: 96. The Hemavathi Trophy - (About) 1600 Metres. 7 Runners Horses rated 80 and above. Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of FULL SPEED, was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming `in' and causing interfer- ence to LIONHEART (J.H. Christopher) on his inside which in turn passed it on to SYMBOL OF SPEED (Vivek) along the rails approaching the 350 Metres. FULL SPEED (Vinod Shinde) sustained cut injury on right hind cannon. Trainer Mr. Samar Singh and Jockey S. Rajesh were questioned regarding the running and riding of DARE DON. The trainer stated that as the horse had not performed to his expectation when ridden in the front bunch he had specifically instructed the rider to ride it off the pace and that he was satisfied with the handling of his charge by Jockey S. Rajesh. He fur- ther stated that similar riding instructions will be given in future. The Jockey corroborated the statement of the trainer as regards riding instructions and the handling of his mount. Their explanations were noted for future reference. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g IMPERIAL VIEW. 6th Race: 97. The S.Nanjundaiah Memorial Plate-(About) 1200 11 Runners Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70, 4 & 5 years old. The Stipendiary Stewards reported trainer Mr. S.K. Habib Khan to the Stewards for the reversal of form of his charge ZAFAR, the winner of this race as compared to its previous run in Race No.69, The T. Dougall Memorial Plate-(About) 1200 Metres, for horses rated 40 to 70 on 15th December 2007 when ridden by Jockey S. Ramesh it ran unplaced. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed trainer Mr. S.K. Habib Khan. After deliberations, they decided to fine trainer Mr. S.K. Habib Khan Rs.20,000/- for the rever- sal of form of his charge ZAFAR, the winner of this race as compared to its previous performance in Race No.69 of the Bangalore Winter Meeting 2007-08 held on 15th December 2007. Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner gr g ZAFAR. 7th Race: 98. The Amathos Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses 9 Runners rated 20 to 50. Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. In- ayathulla to withdraw SANGINI (Harish) on veterinary grounds as it was lame on right hind due to sprained stifle and sore back. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veteri- nary Officer before accepting with it again. Jockey K. Narasimha, the rider of SPIRITED COMMAN- DER, was severely reprimanded for travelling wide throughout the race for no apparent reason. CANDANCE (Vivek) was extremely fractious and refused to be stalled. Under the circumstances the horse was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders. At the instance of the Starter, Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollah was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. Jockey P. Ramesh, the rider of SOLDIER BLUE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not sufficiently persevering with his mount during the race.
