        1st Race:     148. The February Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200   
        12 Runners    Metres. Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only
                      (Terms) 
        
                       As  Jockey D.M. Grant could not arrive to  fulfill 
                  his  engagement for the day, permission was granted  to 
                  trainer  Mr.  S. Padmanabhan to  substitute  Jockey  C. 
                  Rajendra to ride HILL OF GRACE in place of Jockey  D.M. 
                  Grant the declared rider. 
        
                       ADAMARIS (Suraj Narredu) jumped awkwardly  outside 
                  from the gates. 
        
                       Jockey  B.Prakash,  the rider  of  NOBLE  KINGDOM, 
                  reported  that  he lost his whip  approaching  the  350 
                  Metres.
        
                       SEVEN  STAR  (C.D. Hayes) sustained an  injury  on 
                  right hind. 
        
        2nd Race:     149. The Chamundi Hill Trophy - Div.II - (About) 
        12 Runners    1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50.
        
                       Trainer  Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was fined Rs.500/-  for 
                  using hanging bit on his charge SUDDEN THUNDER (S.A. De 
                  Sousa)  without prior permission. Subsequently  hanging 
                  bit was removed from the horse before the start of  the 
                  race. 
        
                       It was observed that the left fore shoe of  CASINO 
                  ROYAL (Md. Shafiq) had splayed.  Subsequently the  left 
                  fore shoe was put on before the horse left the paddock. 
        
                       Jockey S.A. De Sousa, the rider of SUDDEN THUNDER, 
                  reported  that  his  mount  was  hanging  `in'  in  the 
                  straight.   Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was  informed  to 
                  get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate 
                  corrective measures before accepting with it again. 
        
                       SOUTH PARADISE (S. John) sustained a cut injury on 
                  right hind pastern.
        
                       CASINO  ROYAL (Md. Shafiq) sustained a cut  injury 
                  on left hind cannon. 
        
                       Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was questioned  regard-
                  ing  the  poor performance of his charge  DANTE'S  PEAK 
                  (Aadesh Kumar) in the above race and he was informed to 
                  ensure better performance of his charge in future.
        
                       Trainer Mr. M.P. Mahaesh was questioned  regarding 
                  the poor performance of his charge PLATINIUM DREAMS (D. 
                  Mahendra)  in  the above race and he  was  informed  to 
                  ensure better performance of his charge in future.
        
                       Jockey  C. Krishnan, the rider of STAR  NEWS,  was 
                  questioned  regarding  his riding on his mount  in  the 
                  above race and his explanations were noted. 

        3rd Race:     150. The Shimoga  Plate - (About) 1100 Metres. 
        12 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 30. 
        
                       Jockey Himanshu, the rider of  COMMANDPERFORMANCE, 
                  was  fined Rs.2,000/-  for shifting `out'  and  causing 
                  interference  to  PRINCE NORBERT (C. Krishnan)  on  his 
                  outside  which  passed  it on to  RETRO  QUEEN  (Melvyn 
                  Maseyk)  on its outside which in turn bumped ACT  SMART 
                  (Vinod  Shinde)  on the far side.  As  a  result  RETRO 
                  QUEEN (Melvyn Maseyk) was hampered for a clear run  and 
                  had to be badly checked by its rider losing position.
        
                       DON'S  DELIGHT (V.R. Jagadeesh) reported that  his 
                  mount was hanging `out' in the straight. The horse  was 
                  impounded  for veterinary examination.  The  Veterinary 
                  Officer  reported that on examination it was  found  to 
                  have  sharp molars on either side of the  jaw.  Trainer 
                  Mr. Neil Darashah was informed to get it checked by his 
                  Veterinarian  and take appropriate corrective  measures 
                  before accepting with it again.
        
                       THE BREAVEST (B. Prakash) sustained a gum injury.
        
                       An  enquiry  is being held into  the  running  and 
                  riding of COMMANDPERFORAMNCE trained by Mr. Samar Singh 
                  and  ridden by Apprentice Jockey Himanshu in the  above 
                  race.
        
        4th Race:     151. The Gaganachukki Plate - (About) 1600 Metres.
         9 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 50, 5 and 6 years old.
        
                       BRAVE  BHEEM  (P. Mani) pulled up lame  after  the 
                  race  on  right  fore due to  sprained  fetlock  joint. 
                  Trainer  Mr.  Samar  Singh was informed  that  he  must 
                  produce  a Fitness Certificate from the Club's  Veteri-
                  nary Officer before accepting with it again.
        
                       Jockey  Suraj Narredu, the rider of SOLDIER  BLUE, 
                  was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the  whip 
                  on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
        
                       Jockey  Suraj Narredu, the rider of SOLDIER  BLUE, 
                  was  questioned regarding his riding in the  final  200 
                  Metres.  He reported that the horse had the tendency to 
                  hang  out and therefore he had to balance it and  ride. 
                  It was confirmed by the trainer and their  explanations 
                  were noted. 
        
                       Jockey M.J. Gautam Raj Urs, the rider of A RUN  TO 
                  REMEMBER, was fined Rs.1,000/- for drifting out  during 
                  the  final  stages of the race.   He was  further  cau-
                  tioned in the presence of his master trainer Mr. Warren 
                  Singh  that he should make every effort to improve  his 
                  riding in future .   
        
        5th Race:     152. The February Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200   
        12 Runners    Metres. Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only
                      (Terms) 
        
                       Jockey  S. Ramesh, the rider of ON THE  ROLL,  was 
                  fined Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight  course 
                  in the final 150 Metres of the race.
        
                       Jockey  Aadesh Kumar, the rider of  CELESTIAL  SON 
                  reported  that his mount was running  green  throughout 
                  the  race.  Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was  informed  to 
                  take  appropriate  remedial measures  before  accepting 
                  with it again. 
        
                       Jockey  B. Prakash, the rider of NOBLE  VIEW,  was 
                  fined Rs.1,000/- for dropping his hands before  passing 
                  the winning post. 
        
                       CELESTIAL  SON (Aadesh Kumar) sustained an  injury 
                  on right hock. 
        
                       BORN  TO SHINE (Suraj Narredu) sustained deep  cut 
                  injuries on right hock. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b f RIMPUCHE.
        
        6th Race:     153. The Stayers Trial Stakes-(About) 2400 Metres. 
         7 Runners    Indian Horses 4 years old and over at the time of
                      starting (Terms).
        
                       The  fore shoe of WONDER SMILE had  splayed  while 
                  parading  in the  paddock.  The shoe  was  subsequently 
                  put on before the horse left the paddock. 
        
                       FAIRYTALEENDING   (Suraj  Narredu)  sustained   an 
                  injury on right hind coronet. 
        
                       Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis  from  the 
                  winner b f WONDER SMILE.
        
        7th Race:     154. The D.Mcpherson Memorial Plate - (About) 
        11 Runners    1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70.
        
                       Jockey  J.H.  Christopher, the rider  of  RAIDER'S 
                  SUN,  was questioned regarding the riding on his  mount 
                  and his explanations were noted. 
        
                       Jockey  Mohammed  Shoaib, the  rider  of  FEARLESS 
                  SPIRIT,  was  reprimanded for not reporting  about  his 
                  mount  stumbled approaching the 900 Metres  whereby  he 
                  was momentarily unbalanced and lost some ground. 
        
                       ALLONIA (Suraj Narredu) was observed to have burst 
                  its  blood  vessels after the race. Trainer  Mr.  Arjun 
                  Mangalorkar was informed that he must produce a Fitness 
                  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer  before 
                  accepting with it again. 
        
                       PRIDE AS A PEACOCK (D. Mahendran) sustained a  cut 
                  injury on left knee. 
        
                       Surprise  Sample was taken for analysis from ch  g 
                  RAIDER'S SUN.
        
        8th Race:     155. The Ruia Stud Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. 
        10 Runners    Horses rated 60 to 90. 
        
                       Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Arjun Manga-
                  lorkar   to substitute Jockey Aadesh Kumar to  ride  IN 
                  THE  ZONE  in place of Jockey D.M. Grant  the  declared 
                  rider. 
        
                       Jockey  Aadesh  Kumar, the rider of  IN  THE  ZONE 
                  placed  2nd by the Judge objected against  Jockey  S.A. 
                  DeSouza, the rider of OCEAN CREST placed I for  "cross-
                  ing him in the last 150 Metres whereby I had to stop my 
                  mount and had to ease my mount which cost me a  certain 
                  race".  The Stewards held an enquiry immediately  after 
                  the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned.   After 
                  deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.  
        
                       Jockey S.A. DeSouza, the rider of OCEAN CREST, was 
                  fined Rs.2,000/- for not maintaining a straight  course 
                  approaching the final 100 Metres of the race. 
        
                       An enquiry is being held into the careless  riding 
                  of Jockey Suraj Narredu on his mount STYLISH BAY in the 
                  above race. 
        
        9th Race:     156. The Chamundi Hill Trophy - Div.I - (About) 
        12 Runners    1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50.
        
                       As Apprentice Jockey Himanshu was certified  medi-
                  cally  unfit  to ride after his ride in the  3rd  race, 
                  permission  was granted to trainer Mr. Samar  Singh  to 
                  substitute  Jockey M.D. Praveen to ride BRAVE ARJUN  in 
                  place of Jockey Himanshu the declared rider. 
        
                       BRAVE  ARJUN (M.D. Praveen) planted and lost  many 
                  lengths at the start.  In view of its behaviour trainer 
                  Mr.  Samar Singh was informed that he must  not  accept 
                  with  it  again  until its behaviour  improved  to  the 
                  satisfaction  of the Stipendiary Stewards in  one  Mock 
                  Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
                       SOUTHERN  INSTINCT  (S. Shiva Kumar)  planted  and 
                  lost  many  lengths at the start.  In view of  its  be-
                  haviour trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal  was informed that he 
                  must  not  accept  with it again  until  its  behaviour 
                  improved  to the satisfaction of the  Stipendiary  Ste-
                  wards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
                       WORD  TO  WORD (N. Harsha) planted and  lost  many 
                  lengths at the start.  In view of its behaviour trainer 
                  Mr. Warren Singh  was informed that he must not  accept 
                  with  it  again  until its behaviour  improved  to  the 
                  satisfaction  of the Stipendiary Stewards in  one  Mock 
                  Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
        10th Race:    157. The M.N.Prakash Memorial Plate - (About) 1200
        12 Runners    Horses rated 40 to 70, 5 and 6 years old.
        
                       Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Padmanab-
                  han to substitute Jockey Ryan Marshall to ride  PERFECT 
                  RHYTHM  in  place  of Jockey D.M.  Grant  the  declared 
                  rider. 
        
                       Jockey  S. John, the rider of ASIATICUS was  fined 
                  Rs.1,000/- for coming `in'  and causing interference to 
                  ATTAIN  (Shohban Babu) on his inside in the  final  100 
                  Metres of the race.  
                     
                       Jockey  J.H.  Christopher,  the  rider  of  TINA'S 
                  TRIUMPH  reported  that his mount stumbled  soon  after 
                  jumping out of the starting gates.
        
                       Jockey  S.  Rajesh, the rider of  AMAZING  FOREST, 
                  reported that he could not get a clear run  immediately 
                  after the start. 
        
                       Jockey  Aadesh  Kumar, the rider of  SPRING  FAIR, 
                  reported  that  he lost his whip  approaching  the  250 
                  Metres of the race. 
        
                       An enquiry is being held into the relatively  poor 
                  performance  of  AMAZING FOREST, trained by  Mr.  Samar 
                  Singh and ridden by Jockey S. Rajesh.

        Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Warren Singh to deputise on 
        behalf  of trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar who was unable to attend  the 
        races.
