(False Rails-Width of 3.5 Metres from 1600 Metres to the winning post.) 1st Race: 204. The Tungabhadra Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400 7 Runners Metres. Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Terms) Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad to withdraw SUNNY COLOURS on veterinary grounds as it was trotting lame on right hind due to injury on right hock. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge LEON CAVALLO (Vinod Shinde). Subsequently `all black' emergency colours were permit- ted to be used. MOST PREFERRED (S. Babu) sustained a cut injury on left hind fetlock. GRAND MADAME (B. Prakash) sustained bleeding injury on left hind. 2nd Race: 205. The Tungabhadra Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400 8 Runners Metres. Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Terms) Jockey S. Guruprasad, the rider of POKEMON MASTER, was reprimanded for not maintaining a proper course approaching the 900 Metres. Jockey S. Babu, the rider of VALIANT BID, reported that his mount grabbed the bit towards the left and veered out approaching the 500 Metres. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g STAR OF WASHINGTON. 3rd Race: 206. The Ilkal Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. 8 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50. Jockey K. Raja Rao, the rider of STAR IMAGE, reported that his mount was hanging `in' in the straight and he had considerable difficulty in keeping his mount on an even course. Trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again. The right stirrup leather of WAR CHILD (Suraj Narredu) came off the hook soon after the start whereby the rider lost his right stirrup and rode without the aid of the equipment throughout the race. On examina- tion of the equipment after the race, it was observed to have been otherwise well maintained and as such no further action was taken. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g WAR CHILD. 4th Race: 207. The Hoysala Trophy - (About) 1600 Metres. 8 Runners Horses rated 60 to 90. ALLONIA (S. John) jumped out awkwardly and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day. The hind shoes on LOGANS RUN (Samuel Fargeat) splayed before the horse left the paddock and as the horse did not allow to be reshod, both the hind shoes were removed and the horse ran both hind bare. MYSTIFIED (B. Prakash) sustained a cut injury on right fore tendon. Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was questioned ragarding the running of his charge MYSTIFIED in the above race where it ran last in the above race in comparison to its previous run in race No.186 where it won. The trainer stated that it was a very ungenuine horse and he was planning to send it to another centre. His explanations were noted. 5th Race: 208. The Smt. Satyavaty V.Char Memorial Cup- (About) 6 Runners 2200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 70. Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of SAPTASHWA, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting `in' and causing inter- ference to VAN DE STAR (M. Narredu) on his inside approaching the 2000 Metres. Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was questioned ragarding the running of his charge ASSERT THE RIGHT in the above race where it ran last in the above race in comparison to its previous run in race No.162 where it ran third. The trainer stated that it was a very ungenuine horse and he was planning to send it to another centre. His explanations were noted. 6th Race: 209. The Murudeswara Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. 12 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50, 5 & 6 years old. The Judges by mistake had placed PLACE HER WELL (S Ramesh) as a winner and GARAFLUID (Mohammad Shoaib) as 2nd. Immediately the mistake was rectified by the Judges and the matter referred to the Stewards. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately thereafter and interviewed the Judges. After deliberations, the Ste- wards in terms of Rule 66 of the BTC Rules of Racing, decided to confirm the correction of the mistake as regards the placings of the winner and the 2nd and the following placings were declared: b g GARAFLUID I b m PLACE HER WELL II b m KIOKO III dkb g ZAIOS IV b m MY WINNING CHARM V 7th Race: 210. The Bharachukki Plate - (About) 1200 10 Runners Metres. Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Terms) As Jockey R. Koch was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Narredu to substitute Jockey Noorulla to ride COVER UP in place of Jockey R. Koch, the declared rider. DARING DREAMS (D. Gnaneshwar) did not raise a fluent gallop after jumping out of the gates and ran detached from the field. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
