1st Race: 232. The Mercara Plate-Div.II-(About) 1100 Metres.
9 Runners Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Terms).
As Jockey D. Gnaneshwar could not arrive to ful-
fill his riding engagement for the day, permission was
granted to trainer Mr. S. Singh to substitute Jockey
G.Y. Rajesh Babu to ride DA BOMB in place of Jockey D.
Gnaneshwar the declared rider.
SUNNY BABA (Samuel Fargeat) jumped out awkwardly
and inconvenienced BEAUTY (C. Krishnan) on the outside
soon after the start.
BUFFALOONRAIL (Shoban Babu) was slowly away and
lost a few lengths at the start and thereafter did not
raise a fluent gallop for some time. In view of its
behaviour trainer Mr. G. Nityanand was informed that he
must not accept with it again until its behaviour
improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Ste-
wards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
Jockey Samuel Fargeat, the rider of SUNNY BABA
reported that his mount was hanging `out' throughout
the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary
examination. The Veterinary Officer reported it was
found to have wolf tooth on the right side of the lower
jaw. Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was informed to take
appropriate corrective measures before accepting with
it again.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from ch f
DIVINE DEW.
2nd Race: 233. The Charmumdi Plate - About) 1600 Metres.
10 Runners Horses rated 00 to 30.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. B.Prithviraj
to substitute Jockey T.S. Jodha to ride PRETTY N FAST
in place of Jockey D. Gnaneshwar the declared rider.
Jockey T.S. Jodha, the rider of PRETTY N FAST,
reported that his mount was hanging `in' throughout the
straight. Trainer Mr. B. prithviraj was informed to get
it checked by his veterinarian and take appropriate
corrective measures before accepting with it again.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of VALID BID, was
reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course
approaching the 300 Metres.
3rd Race: 234. The Mercara Plate-Div.I-(About) 1100 Metres.
9 Runners Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Terms).
Jockey M. Narredu, the rider of LUMINOUS GOLD,
reported that he lost his whip approaching the 250
Metres.
Jockey B. Prakash, the rider of LUCKY MASCOT,
reported that his mount was not galloping fluently
during the race.
DAKINI (A. Imran Khan) sustained an injury on
right hock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the
winner ch f REPIQUE.
4th Race: 235. The Virajpet Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.
11 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50.
As Jockey K.P.G. Appu could not arrive to fulfill
his riding engagement for the day, permission was
granted to trainer Mr. N.A. Ponnappa to substitute
Jockey Suraj Narredu to ride PAINT ME RED in place of
Jockey K.P.G. Appu the declared rider.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Z. Darashah
to substitute Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu to ride ANOOSHEEK
in place of Jockey D. Gnaneshwar the declared rider.
SIMPLY DANGEROUS (A. Imran Khan) brushed the
starting gates while jumping out where the right stir-
rup iron broke; the rider had to ride without the aid
of the equipment and could not offer any assistance to
his mount throughout the race.
Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of SANGINI, was
reprimanded for dropping his hands before passing the
winning post.
SANGINI (A. Ashok Kumar) accidentally clipped the
heels of the front runner MANTHARA (Vinod Shinde) and
stumbled approaching the 700 Metres.
MAJOR ASSET (S. Guruprasad) sustained gum injury.
After the race, it was observed that the right
hind shoe of ILLUSIVE GIRL (M.J. Gautam Raj Urs) had
apparently splayed during the race.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the
winner b c GOOD COMPANION.
5th Race: 236. The Sandur Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres.
11 Runners Horses rated 60 to 90.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Arjun Manga-
lorkar to substitute Jockey T.S. Jodha to ride COLONEL
DUFF in place of Jockey K.P.G. Appu the declared rider.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Neil Dar-
ashah to substitute Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu to ride
LUSH FOLIAGE in place of Jockey D. Gnaneshwar the
declared rider.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of STYLISH BAY was
fined Rs.1,000/- for not observing the paddock formali-
ties.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of STYLISH BAY was
fined Rs.2,000/- for not maintaining a proper course
rounding the final bend.
Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of STRONG MINDED,
placed II by the Judge objected against Jockey Suraj
Narredu, the rider of STYLISH BAY, placed I for "bet-
ween 300 Metres and 250 Metres just as I was making my
run the rider of STYLISH BAY pulled out and pushed me
out making me to lose my momentum which cost me a
certain race". The Stewards held an enquiry immediately
after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned.
After deliberations, they decided to overrule the
objection.

6th Race: 237. The Narmada Trophy - (About) 1600 Metres.
9 Runners Horses rated 40 to 70.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. B. Puttanna
to substitute Jockey C. Krishnan to ride JERSEY POWER
in place of Jockey D. Gnaneshwar the declared rider.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the
winner b f EL GORDO.
7th Race: 238. The Banavasi Plate -(About) 1200 Metres.
11 Runners Horses rated 40 to 70, 5 & 6 years old.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan
to substitute Jockey T.S. Jodha to ride TURBO BABE in
place of Jockey K.P.G. Appu the declared rider.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Darius
Byramji to withdraw MONEY WITH TALENT (B. Mahesh) on
veterinary grounds as it was suffering from colic. He
was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate
from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting
with it again.
TURBO BABE (T.S. Jodha) was slow into stride and
lost few lengths at the start. In view of its be-
haviour trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed that he
must not accept with it again until its behaviour
improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Ste-
wards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.
Jockey S. John, the rider of HAWAIIAN SUNRISE, was
fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting `in' and causing severe
interference to HIDDEN PLEASURES (Tauseef Ahmed) on his
inside approaching the 1000 Metres.
The Stipendiary Stewards reported trainer Mr. J.S.
Dhariwal to the Stewards for the reversal of form of
his charge ARTIC BLAST, the winner of this race in
relation to its previous run in Race No.193 of the BWM
2007-08 i.e. The Tukmkur Plate-(About) 1200 Metres, for
horses rated 40 to 70, 5 & 6 years old on 7th March
2008 when ridden by Jockey Suraj Narredu it ran un-
placed. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last
race on 28th and 29th March 2008 and interviewed train-
er Mr. J.S. Dhariwal and Jockey Suraj Narredu. After
deliberations, they decided to severely caution trainer
Mr. J.S. Dhariwal to maintain consistency in running of
his charges in future.
8th Race: 239. The Gulbarga Plate - (About) 1100 Metres.
12 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Amit Caddy
to substitute Jockey T.S. Jodha to ride GIVE ME THE
MONEY in place of Jockey D.Gnaneshwar the declared
rider.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Mohd. A.
Abbas to substitute Jockey Md.Shafiq to ride STAGELIGHT
in place of Jockey K.P.G. Appu the declared rider.
REPLENISH (Samuel Fargeat) planted in the starting
gates and lost many lengths at the start. In view of
its behaviour trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was informed
that he must not accept with it again until its be-
haviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary
Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race
track.
Jockey Jagdish Shukla, the rider of MASURATHI, was
fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting `out' and causing inter-
ference to ROYAL HERO (Suraj Narredu) on his outside
approaching the 900 Metres.
