Krishnan, the rider of SIMPLE reported that his mount grabbed the bit towards the left and was inclined to run `out' after entering the straight. An enquiry is being held into the running of FLAIR QUEEN (K.P.G. Appu) in the above race. Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from ch f FLAIR QUEEN. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g NEARCO MASTER. 2nd Race: 197. The Makedatu Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. 11 Runners Horses rated 00 to 30, 5 & 6 years old. Jockey M.J. Gautam Raj Urs was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming `in' and causing severe interference to FULL STEELE (Jagdish Shukl) on his inside approaching the 900 Metres. Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of AZAZEL, reported that his mount was hanging `in' in the straight. Train- er Mr. V. Lokanath was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate remedial measures before accepting with it again. Jockey Vijay Kumar, the rider of ASPIRING SEVEN, was fined Rs.1,000/- for improper use of the whip and also for not exercising proper control over his mount in the last 300 Metres. 3rd Race: 198. The Katil Plate-Div.I-(About) 1100 Metres. 10 Runners Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Terms). NEARCO DANCER (B.L. Paswan) was observed to be lame on right hind before the start of the race and hence it was withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's orders. Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. FANTASTIC FLAME (S.Babu) swerved towards left and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its be- haviour trainer Mr. Karan Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Ste- wards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. Jockey Nasir Imam, the rider of ATLANTUS, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting `out' and causing inter- ference to SPRAWLING ELEGANCE (Suraj Narredu) on his outside soon after the start. Jockey L. Marshall, the rider of MINT, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not persevering with his mount during the race. Jockey C. Krishnan, the rider of WALTER, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the improper use of the whip on his mount during the race. 4th Race: 199. The Glass House Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. 9 Runners Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Terms). Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was fined Rs.500/- for not declaring the weight in respect of his charge BEAUTY. The Stipendiary Stewards reported trainer Mr. Karan Singh and Jockey S. Babu to the Stewards in connection with the running and riding of IMPERIAL DREAM. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed trainer Mr. Karan Singh and Jockey S. Babu. After deliberations, they decided to (a) severely caution trainer Mr. Karan Singh as to the future run- ning of his charges; and (b) severely caution Jockey S. Babu as to his future riding in races. Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from ch f TOUCH OF MAGIC. 5th Race: 200. The Hyderabad Silver Vase-(About) 1400 Metres. 7 Runners Horses rated 80 and above. As Jockey C. Krishnan was certified medically unfit to ride after his ride in the 4th race, permis- sion was granted to trainer Mr. B.Puttanna to substi- tute Jockey Jagdish Shukla to ride LAVA in place of Jockey C. Krishnan the declared rider. BIG B (D. Gnaneshwar) after jumping out, did not raise a fluent gallop and trailed the field. In view of its behaviour, trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must not accept with it again until its be- haviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g RIO BRAVO. 6th Race: 201. The Vibrant Plate-(About) 1600 Metres. Horses 9 Runners rated 20 to 50, 5 & 6 years old. Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the starting declaration in respect of his charge WILE WENCH (Vinod Shinde) as regards the allowance of the rider. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g REBORN. 7th Race: 202. The Manasa Sarovara Plate - (About) 1400 10 Runners Metres. For Horses rated 40 to 70. BASTIAN BAY (Suraj Narredu) was very fractious and refused to be stalled. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was questioned regarding the relatively poor performance of his charge SOUTHERN CHIEFTAN (B. Prakash) in the above race and his expla- nations were noted. LORD OF ILLUSION (K.P.G. Appu) burst its blood vessels after the race. Trainer Mr. S.Dominic was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 8th Race: 203. The Karwar Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. 11 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50. Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Irfan Ghata- la to withdraw SHISHAM (Vinod Shinde) on veterinary grounds as it was suffering from Colic. He was in- formed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. AMAZING FLORA (Khurshad Alam) jumped awkwardly outwards from the gates and inconvenienced LEAGUES APART (V. Sunil Kumar) on his outside. The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey M.J. Gautam Raj Urs, the rider of ILLUSIVE GIRL to the Stewards for careless riding in that before passing the red marker post he came `in' sharply and caused inter- ference to STORMING BROWN (B. Prakash) on his inside which in turn passed it on to LEAGUES APART (V. Sunil Kumar) on its inside which in turn passed it on to AMAZING FLORA (Khurshad Alam). The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey M.J. Gautam Raj Urs. After deliberations, the Stewards decided to suspend the Jockey's Licence of M.J. Gautam Raj Urs from 18-3-2008 to 22-3-2008 (both days inclu- sive) for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) on his mount ILLUSIVE GIRL in the above race (permitted to ride work). The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey V. Sunil Kumar to the Stewards for riding an incompetent race on his mount LEAGUES APART in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey V. Sunil Kumar and Mr. S. Padmanabhan, the trainer of the horse. After deliberations, they decid- ed to (a) note the explanation tendered by trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan; and (b) suspend the Jockey's licence granted to Jockey Sunil Kumar with effect from 18-3- 2008 to 31-3-2008 (both days inclusive) and should the Jockey's Licence be granted to him for the season 2008- 09, the same shall be remain suspended from 9-5-2008 to 18-5-2008 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding on his mount LEAGUES APART (Rule No.161(ii) in the above race (permitted to ride work). ---------------------------------------------------------------- Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S.Dominic to deputise on behalf of trainer Mr. S. The Board of Appeal at its meeting held on Tuesday, 26th February 2008 considered the appeal 16-2-2008 filed by Jockey Himanshu against the decision of the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., in suspending his Jockey's Licence with effect from 25-2-2008 to 31-3-2008 (both days inclusive) and not to grant him the licence for the next season till 30-6-2008 for contravention of Rule 159(b) of BTC Rules of Racing pertaining his riding on his mount b g COMMAND PERFORMANCE in the above race. The Board interviewed Mr.S. Marshall, Spokesman for Jockey Himanshu, Trainer Samar Singh and Jockey himself. After delibera- tions the Board of Appeal decided to modify the Order of the Stewards in that Jockey Himanshu's Licence shall stand suspended from 26-2-2008 to 31-3-2008 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfac- tory riding (Rule No.161(ii)) on his mount b g COMMAND PERFOR- MANCE in the above race. The Board of Appeal further decided that the deposit of Rs.2,500/- paid by Jockey Himanshu towards the appeal be forfeited. (2) 22nd Day, Saturday, 9th February 2008 8th Race: 155. The Ruia Stud Plate-(About) 1200 Metres. For horses rated 60 to 90. The Board of Appeal at its meeting held on Tuesday, 26th February 2008 considered the appeal 16-2-2008 filed by Jockey Suraj Narredu against the decision of the Stewards of the Banga- lore Turf Club Ltd., in suspending his Jockey's Licence with effect from 26-2-2008 to 22-3-2008 (both days inclusive) for dangerous riding on his mount b g STYLISH BAY in the above race. The Board interviewed Mr.S.Narredu, Spokesman for Jockey Suraj Narredu and the Jockey himself. After deliberations the Board of Appeal decided to modify the Order of the Stewards in that Jockey Suraj Narredu's Licence shall stand suspended from 26-2-2008 to 28-2-2008 (both days inclusive) and further Jockey Suraj Narredu be fined fined Rs.5,000/- for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) on his mount STYLISH BAY in the above race.
