        1st Race:     90. The Subash Nagar Plate-(About) 1600 Metres.
        11 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 25.
        
        TRACK WONDER was examined at 4.00 a.m. and found to be  suffering 
        from  colic.  Hence permission was granted to trainer Mr.  Warren 
        Singh  to  withdraw TRACK WONDER on veterinary grounds.   He  was 
        informed  that  he must produce a Fitness  Certificate  from  the 
        Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        Jockey  Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of ANGEL FIELD  reported  that 
        his mount was galloping in snatches throughout the race.  Trainer 
        Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed to get it checked by his Veterinar-
        ian  and  take appropriate corrective measures  before  accepting 
        with it again. 
        
        Jockey  T. Rahul, the rider of QUIET ACHIEVER, reported that  his 
        mount was running erratically in the last 200 Metres. 
        
        Jockey  Shobhan  Babu, the rider of PRETTY N FAST  reported  that  
        his mount was hanging `in' badly in the straight. On questioning, 
        trainer Mr. Warren Singh stated that he had instructed the  rider 
        to  go  to the front, keep it along the rails as  the  filly  was 
        blind in the right eye and to do his best thereafter. The  expla-
        nation of the trainer was noted for future reference.  
        
        ANGEL  FIELD  (Mohammed Shoaib) was examined after the  race  and 
        found to have sharp molars on both the jaws on either side. 
        
        QUIET  ACHIEVER  (T.  Rahul) sustained an injury  on  right  hind 
        fetlock. 
        
        Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from ch g PRINCE  NORBERT. 
        
        2nd Race:     91. The Somawarpet Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. 
        10 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45.
        
        MIND  ME (S.A. DeSousa) played up in the gates and sat down  with 
        the  hind  gate crushing the saddle and back  for  a  significant 
        period  of time. Under the circumstances the horse was  withdrawn 
        on  veterinary  grounds  before coming  under  Starter's  orders. 
        Trainer  Mr. Darius Byramji was informed that he must  produce  a 
        Fitness  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary  Officer  before 
        accepting with it again. 
        
        AFFIRMED CROWN (B. Prakash) jumped awkwardly outwards and  incon-
        venienced SILKEN THOMAS (C.D. Hayes) on its outside.
        
        Jockey Md. Shafiq, the rider of CASPIAN SEA, was reprimanded  for 
        inconveniencing  SILKEN THOMAS (C.D. Hayes) which in turn  passed 
        it on to AFFIRMED CROWN (B. Prakash) soon after the start. 
        
        Jockey  C.Ruzaan, the rider of SO MUCH MORE, was  fined  Rs.500/- 
        for using wrong coloured cap. 
        
        Jockey  C.D. Hayes, the rider of SILKEN THOMAS,  was  reprimanded 
        for repeatedly looking back in the straight.
        
        Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was questioned regarding the poor  perfor-
        mance of his charge SOLITARY CHAMP (S. Chandrashekar) as compared 
        to its last run in Race No.31 during the meeting where it had won 
        the race.  The trainer stated that (a) the distance in this  race  
        might  have  been too much for the horse; (b) the horse  had  won 
        last time in a poor company in lower category;  and (c) the horse 
        showed lameness the day subsequent to the race day. His  explana-
        tions were noted for future reference.   
        
        SUN DEVICE (K.P.G. Appu) sustained gum injury. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c  SILKEN 
        THOMAS. 
        
        3rd Race:     92. The Summer Dust Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. 
        11 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45.
        
        DIFFERENT  OPINION  (K. Chethana) jumped  awkwardly  inwards  and 
        inconvenienced CUTE STYLE (Afsar Khan) on its inside.
        
        Jockey Md. Shafiq, the rider of UNIQUE STAR, was fined Rs.1,000/- 
        for  shifting `in' and causing interference to  REIGNING  MONARCH 
        (Vinod Shinde) which in turn passed it on to EXPRESS IT (S. John) 
        and FLY FOR SURE (Shanth Kumar) on his inside.
        
        Jockey  A.  Ashok Kumar, the rider of CLOUSEAU reported  that  he 
        could  not  get  a clear run approaching the 450  Metres  due  to  
        crowding of the field. 
        
        Jockey  A.  Ashok  Kumar,  the  rider  of  CLOUSEAU,  was   fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for  shifting `in' and causing  interference  to  WIN 
        PRETTYBABY  (David Allan) on its inside approaching the  300  Me-
        tres. 
        
        Jockey Md. Shafiq, the rider of UNIQUE STAR was fined  Rs.1,000/- 
        for  inconveniencing  CLOUSEAU (A. Ashok Kumar)  on  his  outside  
        approaching the 350 Metres and further shifting `in' and  causing 
        interference to SABARI (C. Krishnan) on his inside.  
        
        AHIRA  (S. Shiva Kumar) burst its blood vessels during the  race. 
        Trainer  Mr. Irfan Ghatala was informed to produce  Fitness  Cer-
        tificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with 
        it again. 
        
        UNIQUE  STAR  (Md. Shafiq) sustained a deep cut injury  on  right 
        hind inner bulb of heel.
        
        UNIQUE  STAR (Md. Shafiq) sustained an injury on right hind  can-
        non. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner CUTE STYLE. 
      
        4th Race:     93. The Kehlan Stud Plate-Div.I-(About) 1400 Metres
        10 Runners    Horses rated 60 to 85, 5, 6 and 7 years at the time
                      of starting.
        
        Jockey S. Selvaraj, the rider of CANNAVARO, was fined  Rs.5,000/- 
        for feeble handling of his mount during the race. He was  further 
        informed  that  a repetition of similar manner  of  riding  would 
        entail him being reported to the Stewards for severe action. 
        
        Trainer  Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was questioned regarding the  poor 
        performance of his charge SYMBOL OF SPEED (G. Adarsh). The train-
        er  stated that (a) after its previous run at Mysore  his  charge 
        developed slight tendon problem; (b) therefore it was under light 
        work;  (c)  this was its first run after a long gap; and  (d)  he 
        expects it to improve after this run. His explanations were noted 
        for future reference. 
        
        SUPER WOMAN (S. Mallikarjun) sustained an injury on right hock.  
        
        5th Race:     94. The Kelachandra New Millennium Cup - (About)
         8 Runners    1400 Metres. Indian Horses 4 years old and over at
                      the time of starting (Terms).
        
        Trainer  Mr. M.P. Mahaesh was fined Rs.500/- for making an  error 
        in  the declaration of weight in respect of his  charge  SPLENDID 
        SURPRISE.
        
        Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was fined Rs.500/- for making an error 
        in the declaration of weight in respect of his charge  RHAPSIDION 
        SNOW.
        
        Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.500/- for making an  error 
        in the declaration of weight in respect of his charge SOBERANO.
        
        SOBERANO  (Vinod Shinde) was examined at 10.10 a.m. and found  to 
        be trotting lame on left fore due to foot abscess and was permit-
        ted to be withdrawn. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was informed  that 
        he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's  Veterinary 
        Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was questioned regarding the poor perfor-
        mance of his charge WOMAN ON TOP (C. Ruzaan). The trainer  stated 
        that  he got his charge examined after the race day and found  to 
        have  congestion in its lungs and further added that probably  it 
        could  be the reason for its poor performance. While  noting  the 
        explanation of the trainer, he was advised to desist from running 
        his charge till he is confident of the horse performing up to its 
        racing capability.  
        
        BOURBON  KING  (B.  Prakash) sustained an injury  on  right  hind 
        fetlock. 
        
        6th Race:     95. The Dr.S.K.Pillay Memorial Plate-Div.I-(About)
        12 Runners    1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65.
        
        Jockey  Khurshad Alam, the rider of LITTLE SPLENDOUR,  was  fined 
        Rs.2,000/- for shifting `in' and causing interference to  CALMING 
        INFLUENCE (Saleem Golam) on his inside approaching 250 Metres. 
    
        The  Cross Nose Ban used on POWER TO FIGHT (Md. Shafiq)  was  ob-
        served to have been tied too low and trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar was 
        advised to consult the Club's Veterinary Officer  with regard  to 
        the proper usage of the equipment.
        
        REPIQUE  (K.P.G. Appu) sustained a cut injury on right hind  ten-
        don. 
        
        POWER TO FIGHT (Md. Shafiq) sustained an injury on right hock.
        
        7th Race:     96. The Kehlan Stud Plate-Div.II-(About)1400 Metres
        10 Runners    Horses rated 60 to 85, 5, 6 and 7 years at the time
                      of starting.
        
        BLINK  (S.A. DeSousa)  was slowly away and lost about 2  lengths. 
        Thereafter  it was lethargic and slow into stride thereby  losing 
        considerable ground at the start.  Trainer Mr.M.Eshwer was  ques-
        tioned  regarding  (a) his riding instructions; and (b)  the  be-
        haviour  of  the horse at the start. He stated that  (a)  he  had 
        instructed the rider to maintain a forward position and ride  out 
        in the straight; (b) the horse was slowly away for the first time 
        in  its  career and it could be probably due to  the  sheep  skin 
        cheek piece which was used for the first time on his charge.  His 
        explanations were noted for future reference.
        
        EL  GORDO (S. Chandrashekar) reported that he was  inconvenienced 
        soon after jumping out due to the crowding of the field.   
        
        STRONG MINDED (G.Y. Rajesh Babu) sustained injuries on left  hock 
        and a bleeding injury on left hind coronet. 
        
        MILAGRO (M. Narredu) sustained an injury on right hind fetlock. 
        
        8th Race:     97. The Dr.S.K.Pillay Memorial Plate-Div.II-(About)
        12 Runners    1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65.
        
        IMPERIAL APPLAUSE (Shobhan Babu) planted and lost many lengths at 
        the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda 
        (deputising  for  trainer Mr. V. Lokanath) was informed  that  he 
        must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the 
        satisfaction  of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race  on  a 
        race day on the race track. 
        
        GRIS RAPIDE (A. Ashok Kumar) jumped awkwardly inwards. 
        
        TAKE  MY WORD (K.P.G. Appu) accidentally brushed the false  rails 
        approaching the 700 Metres. 
        
        Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of GRIS RAPIDE, was  reprimanded 
        for not maintaining a straight course in the last 200 Metres. 
        
        Jockey K. Raja Rao, the rider of SHE'S BIG, was fined  Rs.2,000/- 
        for  shifting  `in' and causing interference  to  AUCHINLECH  (B. 
        Sreekanth) on his inside approaching the 500 Metres.
        
        AUCHINLECH  (B.Sreekanth) sustained an injury on left fore  coro-
        net. 
  
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c LESTER.
