                      RACING INCIDENTS (Race No.133 to 140)
        
                     Going: Good  Penetrometer Reading: 3.7 Cms.
        
        (False  Rails - Width of about 5 Metres from 1600 Metres to  1000 
        Metres and 6.5 Metres from 1000 Metres to the winning post.)
        
        1st Race:       133. The Jamuna Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.  
        Horses rated 00 to 25. (12 Runners).
        
        KING OF GOOD TIMES (M. Madhu Babu) planted and took no  practical 
        part in the race.  In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. S. Britto 
        was informed that he must not accept with it again until its  be-
        haviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary  Stewards 
        in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
        Jockey  Gaurav Sapra, the rider of GRACIAN, was fined  Rs.2,000/- 
        for shifting `in' and causing interference to ORANGE ORCHARD  (S. 
        Shiva  Kumar)  who had to be checked. DAZZLING  LIGHT  (A.  Ashok 
        Kumar)  who was travelling directly behind clipped the  heels  of 
        the  latter thereby unbalancing its rider and ran into the  false 
        rails approaching the 1000 Metres.
        
        On  being  questioned,  Jockey C. Krishnan, the  rider  of  GREAT 
        CHIEFTAN,   reported  that he was pocketed in  the  straight  and 
        could not get a clear run till 100 Metres.
        
        GREAT  CHIEFTAN (C. Krishnan) sustained a bleeding cut injury  on 
        right fore coronet.
        
        DAZZLING  LIGHT (A. Ashok Kumar) sustained a bleeding cut  injury 
        on right fore arm. 
        
        MONEY MANTRA (B.L. Paswan) sustained gum injury. 
        
        Routine  Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b  m  GRA-
        CIAN. 
        
        2nd Race:       134. The Ted Fordyce Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. 
        Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (5 Runners).
        
        BID  FOR GOLD (Suraj Narredu) dislodged the rider and  bolted  on 
        its  way  to  the starting gates. Hence it was  permitted  to  be 
        withdrawn before coming under Starter's Orders.
        
        BHAGIRATHI (B.L. Paswan) pulled up lame on left fore and observed 
        to  have  splayed left fore shoe. Trainer Mr. Irfan  Ghatala  was 
        informed  that  he must produce a Fitness  Certificate  from  the 
        Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.  
                
        3rd Race:       135. The Nethravathi Trophy - (About) 1400 Metres. 
        Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners).
        
        SUNNY  CONNEXION (Noorulla) planted and lost considerable  ground 
        at  the start.  In view of its behaviour trainer Mr.Warren  Singh 
        was  informed  that he must not accept with it  again  until  its 
        behaviour  improved to the satisfaction of the  Stipendiary  Ste-
        wards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.  
        
        LOCK  AND  LOAD (B.L. Paswan) jumped  awkwardly  inwards  thereby 
        inconveniencing FLIP YOUR DESTINY (Gaurav Sapra) on the inside.  
        
        LOCK AND LOAD (B.L. Paswan) shifted out and inconvenienced  ROYAL 
        BANK (J.H. Christopher) at 275 Metres. 
        
        Jockey B.L. Paswan, the rider of LOCK AND LOAD, placed Second  by 
        the  Judge objected against Jockey Samuel Fargeat, the  rider  of 
        SUNNY GOLD, placed First for bumping his horse at the 400 Metres, 
        then again coming across him very sharply whereby he had to check 
        his  horse and pull out whereby his horse stopped  galloping  and 
        then he came back again that cost him the win.  The Stewards held 
        an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys 
        concerned.  After  deliberations, they decided to over  rule  the 
        objection. 
        
        Jockey  Samuel  Fargeat,  the  rider  of  SUNNY  GOLD  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for  shifting `in' and bumping LOCK  AND  LOAD  (B.L. 
        Paswan) on his inside approaching the 400 Metres. 
        
        MINCHU (Afsar Khan) ran erratically on the wide outside  through-
        out  the  race and finished down the field. Trainer  Mr.  Mahmood 
        Khan  was informed to ensure better performance by his charge  in 
        future. 
        
        An  enquiry  has been opened into the riding  of  AFFIRMED  CROWN 
        ridden by Jockey Mohammed Shoaib. 
        
        4th Race :   136. The Indian Republic Trophy - (About) 1600 
        Metres. For Horses rated 60 to 85 (7 Runners). 
            
        Permission  was granted to Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy  to  withdraw 
        VIOLET HONEY as it was found to be walking lame on left fore  due 
        to inflammed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness 
        Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer before  accepting 
        with it again. 
        
        Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was fined Rs.500/- for making an error 
        in  the  starting declaration in respect of his  charge  HILL  OF 
        GRACE. 
        
        INSPIRING TRUST (Samuel Fargeat) pulled up lame after the race on 
        left fore.  Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was informed that he  must 
        produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary  Officer 
        before accepting with it again.
      
        Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was questioned regarding the continuous 
        poor  performance of his charge ACT SMART in Race No.46,  77  and 
        the  above race during the Meeting, wherein his  charge  finished 
        detached on all the three occasions. It was brought to his notice 
        that  he was informed to ensure better performance by his  charge 
        in future after Race No.46 and he was also advised to desist from 
        running  his charge till he is confident of the horse  performing 
        up to its racing capability after Race No.77. The trainer accept-
        ed  that he ran the horse in the above race even though the  dis-
        tance  was  not suitable in view of the fact that the  horse  was 
        retiring  to  stud soon.  While noting his explanations,  he  was 
        severely  reprimanded for his irresponsible and  purposeless  ap-
        proach  with  regard to the running of his  charge  ignoring  the 
        advice  of the Stipendiary Stewards. He was further  warned  that 
        repetition of a similar incident would entail him being  reported 
        to the Stewards.
        
        5th  Race : 137. The Mysore Race Club Trophy-(About) 1600  Metres 
        For  Indian Horses 4 years old and over at the time of  starting. 
        (Terms) (6 Runners)     
        
        Trainer  Mr. S. Padmanabhan was fined a total sum  of  Rs.1,000/- 
        for  making error in the starting declaration in respect  of  his 
        wards WESTERN COMMAND and PALAZZIO'S SUN. 
        
        WESTERN  COMMAND (David Allan) tended to lay outwards  from  1200 
        Metres until the straight. 
        
        6th Race:  138. The Vidhana Soudha Cup-Div.I-(About) 1400 Metres.
        For Horses rated 40 to 65, 5,6 & 7 years old (10 Runners).
        
        MONEY WITH TALENT (S. Mallikarjun) was very fractious  on the way 
        to  the  starting gates and dislodged the rider.  Permission  was 
        granted for the horse to be led riderless to the gates.  
        
        Jockey  Gaurav Sapra, the rider of LUCKYNUMBERSLEVIN,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/- for improper use of the whip persistently in spite  of 
        his mount shifting on to the rails approaching the 150 Metres. 
        
        Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of AFGHAN, was reprimanded  for 
        travelling  wide  while rounding the final bend for  no  apparent 
        reason. 
        
        PRAYATNA  (Md.  Shafiq) lugged `in' and  inconvenienced  CIMARRON 
        (C.D. Hayes) on the inside approaching the 1000 Metres.
        
        Routine  Sample was taken for analysis from the winner gr  g  SUN 
        ZONE. 
        
        7th Race:       139. The Pancha Shiva Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. 
        Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).
        
        PINAAKINI  (M.  Madhu  Babu) was squeezed at  the  start  thereby 
        losing ground. 
        
        ROYAL CHIEF (Gaurav Sapra) veered out thereby inconveniencing XEL 
        (K. Raja Rao) soon after jumping out of the starting gates. 
      
        PRINCELY  GESTURE  (A.  Ashok Kumar) was hanging  out  from  1100 
        Metres inconveniencing SARANG (C. Krishnan) near 1050 Metres  and 
        later it galloped on the outer strip of the grass track from  800 
        Metres  to  650  Metres.  In view of its  behaviour  trainer  Mr. 
        S.Inayathulla was informed that he must not accept with it  again 
        until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendi-
        ary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
        
        Jockey  Vinod  Shinde,  the  rider  of  TELEMACCHUS,  was   fined 
        Rs.2,000/- for shifting `in' and causing interference to ATLANTUS 
        (J.H. Christopher) on his inside approaching the 100 Metres. 
        
        TELEMACCHUS  (Vinod Shinde) was observed to have lost  its  right 
        fore shoe.
        
        EXPRESS IT (David Allan) was impounded for veterinary examination 
        after  the race.  On examination the Veterinary Officer  at  6.20 
        p.m. reported that it was found to be trotting lame on right fore 
        due  to  sprained suspensory. Trainer Mr. Arjun  Mangalorkar  was 
        informed  that  he must produce a Fitness  Certificate  from  the 
        Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.  
        
        Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from dk b g EXPRESS IT.
        
        8th Race:  140. The Vidhana Soudha Cup-Div.II-(About) 1400  
        Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5,6 & 7 years old (10 Runners).
        
        As  the  strap of the left stirrup iron snapped  soon  after  the 
        start,  Jockey  B.L. Paswan, the rider of MAC,  could  not  offer 
        sufficient assistance to his mount throughout the race. 
        
        Jockey Afsar Khan, the rider of SHOWHORSE was reprimanded for not 
        maintaining a straight course in the last 200 Metres.
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m ARABIAN 
        MEMORIES.
