        1st Race:     98. The Hemavathi Plate-Div.II-(About) 1100 Metres. 
         9 Runners    Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only at the time
                      of starting.  (Terms).
        
        REAL MAGIC (L. Marshall) was observed to have lost left fore shoe 
        and sustained a small injury on right hind cannon.
        
        2nd Race:     99. The Madhugiri Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. 
        10 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 25.
        
        Jockey  A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of NON STOP CANNON,  was  fined 
        Rs.3,000/- for not improving his position from 700 Metres to  400 
        Metres and for not infusing adequate vigour in the straight.
        
        Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b f GOD'S WILL.
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m EVENING 
        RHAPSODY. 
        
        3rd Race:     100. The Hemavathi Plate-Div.I-(About) 1100 Metres.

                      of starting.  (Terms).
        
        Trainer  Mr.  Arjun Mangalorkar was reprimanded  for  not  taking 
        permission from the Stipendiary Stewards in respect of the change 
        of equipments (girth and surcingle) after weighing out by  Jockey 
        David Allan on his charge TIME FLIES. 
        
        KRIPA  (A. Ashok Kumar) was observed to have lost his  left  hind 
        shoe after the race. 
        
        ROYAL  PREMIER  (Md. Shafiq) sustained a bleeding cut  injury  on 
        left fore cannon. 
        
        4th Race:     101. The A.P.Kothavala Memorial Cup-(About) 1400 
        10 Runners    Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only at
                      the time of starting.  (Terms).
        
        CORBETT  (C.D.  Hayes)  was stalled in draw No.11  as  the  front 
        shutters of declared draw No.10 was damaged due to the  fractious 
        behaviour of the gelding. 
        
        Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of JAMAICAN BOLT, reported that his 
        mount was hanging `out' in the straight.  Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna 
        was  informed  to  get it checked by his  Veterinarian  and  take 
        appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again. 
        
        ROYAL GLINT (Mohammed Shoaib) sustained a bruise on left hock.
    
        5th Race:     102.  The Amber Regent Plate - (About) 1600 
         9 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45.
        
        TERN ME ON (S.A. DeSousa) burst its blood vessels after the race. 
        Trainer  J.S. Dhariwal was informed that he must produce  Fitness 
        Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer before  accepting 
        with it again. 
        
        Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was questioned regarding the poor  perfor-
        mance  of his charge BURNING AMBITIONS.  The trainer stated  that 
        (a)  his charge is a very mediocre horse; and (b) it had  won  in 
        the lowest category in a poor bunch. His explanations were  noted 
        for future reference. However, the Trainer was advised to  desist 
        from  running his charge till he is confident of the  horse  per-
        forming up to its racing capability.
        
        Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was questioned regarding the deteriorat-
        ing performance of ATTATURK (S. Chandrashekar) as compared to its 
        recent performance in Race No.54 where he was placed second.  The 
        trainer  could not attribute any specific reason as to  the  poor 
        performance of his charge. He was advised to desist from  running 
        his charge till he is confident of the horse performing up to its 
        racing capability.
        
        ATTATURK (S. Chandrashekar) sustained a bruise on left knee. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g PELIKA-
        NO.
        
        6th Race:     103. The Banglaore Oaks (Grade II) - (About) 2400
        11 Runners    Metres. 4 years old Indian Fillies (Foaled in 2005)
                      (Terms).
        
        Trainer Mr. C.D. Katrak was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for 
        failing  to  declare his charge RIYASAT  to start for  this  race 
        after having accepted with it. 
        
        SHOOT A RAINBOW (S.A.DeSousa) stumbled approaching the 800 Metres 
        and  fell dislodging the rider thereby forcing SPARK OF  ELEGANCE 
        (S.  John)  and INSPIRING TRUST (Saleem Golam), who  were  racing 
        directly  behind, to be checked. In the process Jockey  S.  John, 
        the  rider  of SPARK OF ELEGANCE was momentarily  unbalanced  and 
        lost  his  stirrup  iron and he had to ride without  the  aid  of 
        equipment thereafter.  
        
        SHOOT  A  RAINBOW (S.A.DeSousa) sustained a  bleeding  injury  on 
        right  hind  coronet, an injury on left hind,  Haematoma  on  the 
        Brisket  and was lame on right fore. Trainer Mr.  Darius  Byramji 
        was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from  the 
        Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        SPARK  OF  ELEGANCE (S. John) sustained an injury on  right  fore 
        pastern. 
   
        Compulsory  samples  were  taken for analysis  from  the   first, 
        second and third placed horses viz.,

        7th Race:     104. The R.H.Charles Memorial Plate-Div.I-(About)  
        10 Runners    1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65,  5, 6 and 7
                          years old at the time of starting.
        
        Trainer  Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.10,000/- by the  Stewards 
        for failing to declare his charge SHISHAM  to start for this race 
        after having accepted with it. 
        
        Trainer  Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was questioned regarding the  poor 
        performance of his charge BALLERINA GIRL (S. John).  The  trainer 
        stated  that the distance of the race might be unsuitable to  the 
        horse  and added that slightly shorter distance in its age  group 
        is  more suitable. His explanations were noted for future  refer-
        ence.  However,  he was advised to desist from running  in  races 
        which he himself feels is unsuitable for his charge in future.  
        
        Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis from the winner b  g  AS-
        TOUNDING BLUE. 
        
        8th Race:     105. The Horanadu Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.  
        12 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45, 5, 6 & 7 years old at the
                      time of starting.
        
        Jockey  Mohd. Shafiq, the rider of SAVANNAH PRIDE, reported  that 
        he  had to check his mount approaching the 800 Metres due to  the 
        crowding of the field. 
        
        The  Cross Nose Band used on IMMORTAL was observed to  have  been 
        tied  low and trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was advised to consult  the 
        Club's Veterinary Officer with regard to the proper usage of  the 
        equipment. 
        
        Trainer  Mr.  B.  Prithviraj was questioned  regarding  the  poor 
        performance of his charge NICE GUY (Khurshad Alam).  The  trainer 
        stated that (a) after his charge burst its blood vessels in  Race 
        No.8  of the BWM 2008-09, its performance is  deteriorating;  (b) 
        after  this run it has lost condition; and (c) he would  give  it 
        sufficient rest before accepting with it again.  His explanations 
        were noted for future reference. However, the trainer was advised 
        to  desist  from running his charge till he is confident  of  the 
        horse performing up to its racing capability.    
        
        LOOK ALIKE (Mohammed Shoaib) sustained a cut injury on right hind 
        outer bulb of the heel. 
        
        MISS  MARVELOUS (T. Rahul) sustained a cut injury on  right  fore 
        cannon. 

        BLACK SPLENDOUR (S.Shiva Kumar) sustained an injury on left  hind 
        cannon. 
        
        Trainer Mr. J.S. Pillay and Jockey S. Guruprasad were  questioned 
        regarding  the running and riding of KEMROCK. Jockey stated  that 
        he  was  asked to keep it in second or third  position  till  the 
        final bend and to do his best in the straight. He further  stated 
        that he could not adhere to the trainer's instructions as it  was 
        running  green throughout the race, probably because of the  long 
        gap  after  which it was running. The  trainer  corroborated  the 
        statement of the Jockey. Their explanations were noted for future 
        reference.  However,  the Jockey was advised to  infuse  adequate 
        vigour and be more purposeful in riding his mounts in future.  
        
        9th Race:     106. The R.H.Charles Memorial Plate-Div.II-(About)  
        12 Runners    1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65,  5, 6 & 7
                      years old at the time of starting.
        
        Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of JERSEY POWER, reported that  his 
        mount tried to run out soon after the start and was hanging `out' 
        throughout  the race inspite of his best effort.  Trainer Mr.  M. 
        Eshwer  was  informed to get it checked by his  Veterinarian  and 
        take  appropriate  corrective measures before accepting  with  it 
        again. 
        
        Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of LEAGUES APART, was  reprimanded 
        for  inconveniencing BADDA RUPAIYYA (Khurshad  Alam)  approaching 
        the 350 Metres.

        on  behalf of trainer Mr. P. Shroff who was unable to attend  the 
        races.
