(False Rails: Width of 3.5 Metres from 1600 Metres to the winning post) 1st Race: 107.The Krishnarajapuram Stakes-(About) 1100 Metres 10 Runners For horses rated 00 to 25. Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of RESOUNDING GLORY, reported that his mount was hanging `out' negotiating the bend approaching the 600 Metres, in spite of his best effort to keep it on an even course thereby he could not assist his mount in the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination at 3.10 p m. the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have sharp molars on both jaws on either sides. Trainer Mr.Karan Singh was fined Rs.3,000/- for his negligence in pre- senting his charge RESOUNDING GLORY in such a condition and he was also severely cautioned that repetition of such an incident would entail him being reported to the Stewards. He was further informed to get his ward checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate remedial measures before accepting with it again. CHILLY CHOCOLATE (L. Marshall) accidentally brushed the false rails approaching the 800 Metres. BORN TO SHINE (G. Adarsh) sustained bleeding cut injuries on right hock. SPANISH CROWN (Chethana K) sustained cut injury on right fore fetlock. CHAR CHAND (S. Shiva Kumar) sustained an injury on right hock. LADY OF LIGHT (S. Chandrashekar) sustained a cut injury on left hind cannon. TWO TO TANGO (M.D. Praveen) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was questioned regarding the continued poor performance of his charge and was further advised to ensure better performance of his charge in future. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g WAY TO FANTASY. 2nd Race: 108.The Vidurashwatha Stakes - (About) 2000 Metres 8 Runners For horses rated 20 to 45. LATVIA (K.P.G. Appu) (a) burst its blood vessels after the race; (b) pulled up lame on right fore due to sprained fetlock; and (c) sustained bleeding gum injury. Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was in- formed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. RED SHIFT (Suraj Narredu) sustained an injury on right hind. SEVEN STAR (C.D. Hayes) sustained bleeding gum injury. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g HENRY'S SECRET. 3rd Race: 109. The New Year Cup - (About) 1100 Metres. 12 Runners Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms). RUGGED BEAUTY (K.P.G. Appu) sustained a bleeding cut injury on left hind pastern. 4th Race: 110. The Saptharishi Trophy - (About) 2000 Metres. 9 Runners For horses rated 60 to 85. Jockey Saleem Golam, the rider of ABLE ASSOCIATE, had to check his mount to avoid clipping the heels of TIMELESS TREASURE (K.P.G. Appu) approaching the 500 Metres. Jockey C.D. Hayes, the rider of DESERT RULE, reported that his saddle shifted forward passing the 1600 Metres and that he bumped on the saddle a couple of times between the 900 and 700 Metres to correct the position of the saddle, thereby he could not offer sufficient assistance to his mount and had to travel wide throughout the race. In view of the above incident, trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji was fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling on his charge DESERT RULE. Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of PHOENIX REACH, reported that his mount was hanging `out' badly rounding the final bend. Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again. TIMELESS TREASURE (K.P.G. Appu) sustained an injury on right hock. 5th Race: 111. The F.K. Irani Memorial Cup - (About) 1200 9 Runners Metres. For horses rated 80 and above. MERCURIAL (K.P.G. Appu) jumped awkwardly inwards. STEELIUM (Shobhan Babu) whipped around after jumping out and did not take any practical part in the race. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed on 17th January 2009 that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of LOGANS RUN, was severely reprimanded for weighing `in' 600 grams more than what he weighed `out'. He was informed that a repetition of similar incident would be viewed very seriously. Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of LOGANS RUN, reported that he could not get a clear run approaching the 350 Metres. QUEEN'S GUEST (Y.S. Srinath) sustained an injury on right flank. 6th Race: 112. The Prince Ardent Stakes-Div.I-(About) 1200 11 Runners Metres. For horses rated 40 to 65. Jockey K. Raja Rao, the rider of MARIANELLA reported that his mount was hanging `in' after negotiating the final bend. Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed to get it checked by his Veterinar- ian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again. KORPORATE (Samuel Hitchcott) lost few lengths at the start and was slow into stride and ran detached throughout the race. Train- er Mr. Amit Caddy was questioned regarding the poor performance of his charge KORPORATE. The trainer stated that the horse ap- pears to have lost form totally. While noting the explanation of the trainer he was advised to desist from running his charge till he is confident of the horse performing up to its racing capabil- ity. Trainer Mr. S. Britto was questioned on 17th January 2009 regard- ing the continued poor performance of his charge AWESOME BEAUTY (G.Y. Rajesh Babu). The trainer stated that after it sustained injuries in Race No.23 of the BWM 2008-09, his charge appears to have lost form totally. While noting the explanations of the trainer, he was advised to desist from running his charge till he is confident of the horse performing up to its racing capability. SUNNYLAND (David Allan) sustained an injury on right fore cannon. SUPREME BEAUTY (Y.S.Srinath) sustained bruises on left and right hind tendons. MARIANELLA (K. Raja Rao) sustained an injury on right hind can- non. 7th Race: 113. The Gomos Stakes - (About) 1400 Metres. For 12 Runners horses rated 20 to 45. Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of SCRAMJET, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting `out' and causing interference to LOCK AND LOAD (B.L. Paswan) on his outside approaching the 1000 Metres. OPPRIMO (K.P.G. Appu) who was fiercely galloping along the rails, clipped the heels of LOCK AND LOAD (B.L. Paswan) stumbled and fell dislodging the rider passing the 800 Metres. LET THE RIVER RUN (D. Gnaneshwar) who was galloping directly behind OPPRIMO (K.P.G. Appu) had to be checked to avoid the prostrated horse. Inspite of that LET THE RIVER RUN tripped on the prostrated horse, unbalanced the rider and dislodged him. In the process TREND TRACKER (Md. Shafiq) and SIMPLY DANGEROUS (Gaurav Sapra) who were racing in the rear on the inside had to be checked by their respective riders and lost considerable ground. MINCHU (F.K. Shahbuddin) who was travelling in the rear on the outside shied away further. An enquiry is being held into the above incident. Jockey S.R. Santosh Kumar, the rider of ROYAL HERO, was repri- manded for travelling wide throughout the race. OPPRIMO (K.P.G. Appu) sustained a fracture on right fore. LOCK AND LOAD (B.L. Paswan) sustained a cut injury on right hind gaskin. MINCHU (F.K. Shahbuddin) sustained a bleeding injury on right hind coronet. 8th Race: 114. The Prince Ardent Stakes-Div.II-(About) 1200 11 Runners Metres. For horses rated 40 to 65. Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu, the rider of SATIN WOOD, was severely reprimanded for weighing `in' 800 grms more than what he weighed `out'. He was informed that repetition of a similar incident would be viewed very seriously. GLORIOUS PRINCESS (Samuel Fargeat) sustained an injury on right hind coronet.
