        RACING INCIDENTS                 GOING : GOOD 
        (Race No.15 to 23)              PENETROMETER READING : 4.6 Cms.

                                      Post.) 
        
        1st Race:     15. The Ashwapriya Plate - (About) 1100 Metres.
         8 Runners    Maiden Indian Horses 2 years old only.
        
        Jockey S. Babu, the rider of FAIR OPTION, was questioned  regard-
        ing the manner in which he rode the horse. The Jockey stated that 
        the  horse  did not show any initial speed inspite  of  his  best 
        effort,  thereby  he could not obtain a forward position  on  his 
        mount in the race. His explanations were noted. 
        
        SERIOUS  ATTITUDE  (D.Gnaneshwar) jumped awkwardly  outwards  and 
        lost few lengths at the start.  In view of its behaviour  trainer 
        Mr.  Neil Darashah was informed that he must not accept  with  it 
        again  until  its behaviour improved to the satisfaction  of  the 
        Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate  practice 
        day. 
        
        2nd Race:   16. The Kokkarebellur Plate - (About) 1600 Metres.
         9 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 25.
        
        Trainer  Mr.  R.V. Manohar was fined Rs.500/- for  not  obtaining 
        prior  permission to take his charge RUDIMENTARY to the  starting 
        gates  in advance of the remainder of the field, as per   General 
        Condition 20 of the Prospectus of BWM 2008-09.
        
        FOUR SEASONS (S.A. De Sousa) was very fractious at the gates  and 
        refused to be stalled.  Under the circumstances it was  permitted 
        to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's Orders.
        
        KING OF GOOD TIMES (G.Y Rajesh Babu) was examined at the starting 
        gates and found to be trotting lame on right fore and was permit-
        ted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's Orders.  Train-
        er  Mr.  S. Britto was informed that he must  produce  a  Fitness 
        Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer before  accepting 
        with it again.
        
        Jockey  C. Harish, the rider of ROAD TO ROMANCE, was  reprimanded 
        for dropping his hands before passing the winning post. 
        
        NON STOP CANNON (C. Krishnan) was examined after the race by  the 
        Chief  Veterinary Officer and was found to have sharp  molars  on 
        the  right  upper  and lower jaws. Trainer Mr.  B.  Puttanna  was 
        advised  to  get it checked by his Veterinarian and  take  appro-
        priate corrective measures before accepting with it again. 
        
        ROYAL FILLY (S.Shiva Kumar) sustained a cut injury on right hind. 
        
        Routine  Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f  SUPER 
        SPEAR. 

       
        3rd Race:     17. The Master Key Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
        12 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45.
        
        Jockey Ranjeet Singh, the rider of STAGELIGHT,  reported that his 
        mount was hanging `in' in the straight.  Trainer Mr. Mohd A Abbas 
        was  informed  to  get it checked by his  Veterinarian  and  take 
        appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again. 
        
        Jockey  K.  Raja  Rao,  the rider  of  LEADING  LADY,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/-   for not exercising sufficient control on his  mount, 
        thereby travelling wide throughout the race.
        
        Trainer  Mr.V. Lokanath was questioned regarding the  running  of 
        his  charge  LEADING LADY.  The trainer stated that  (a)  he  had 
        asked the Jockey to ride his charge in a forward position and  do 
        his  best in the straight; (b) the horse had a tendency  to  hang 
        `out'  in the straight. Trainer was cautioned with regard to  the 
        selection of Jockey on his charge, especially since his ward  had 
        the tendency to hang out in the straight as stated by him.
        
        KANDIATE (Shobhan Babu) sustained a bleeding injury on right fore 
        cannon. 
        
        4th Race:     18. The B.P.Shivan Memorial Plate-Div.II - (About)  
        12 Runners    1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4,5 & 6 years 
                       old.
        
        Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of DOUBLE EMERGE,  reported that 
        his mount was hanging `in' badly in the last 300 Metres.  Trainer 
        Mr. B. Puttanna was informed to get it checked by his Veterinari-
        an and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with 
        it again. 
        
        Jockey  G.Y.  Rajesh  Babu, the rider of  SATIN  WOOD  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/- for excessive use of the whip on his mount during  the 
        race (1st infringement).
         
        Jockey  Gaurav Sapra, the rider of MASTER STRATEGIST,  was  fined 
        Rs.3,000/- for excessive use of the whip on his mount during  the 
        race (2nd infringement).
        
        5th Race:     19. The Trombay Plate-(About) 1600 Metres. 
        10 Runner         Horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5 & 6 years old.
        
        After  the  race,  it was reported that  BENNYTHEBULL  (R.  Ravi) 
        pulled  up  lame  on right fore.  Trainer Mr.  Faraz  Arshad  was 
        informed  that  he must produce a Fitness  Certificate  from  the 
        Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.  
        
        Jockey  K.P.G.  Appu,  the  rider  of  NEW  PASTURES,  was  fined 
        Rs.3,000/-  for shifting `out' and causing interference  to  BUCK 
        PASSER JUNIOR (M.J. Gautam Raj Urs) on his outside which in  turn 
        caused  RED RUBEN (Samuel Fargeat) to stumble approaching the  50 
        Metres. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f CASINO 
        ROYAL. 
        
        6th Race:     20. The Kanteerava Cup - (About) 1400 Metres.
        12 Runners    Horses rated 60 to 85.
        
        Jockey  Shobhan Babu, the rider of STONE OF DESTINY,  was  repri-
        manded for dropping his hands before passing the winning post.
        
        Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was questioned regarding the running  of 
        his charge OWN VOICE. His explanations that (a) it was the  first 
        time   the filly was running over 1400 metres ; (b) he would  run 
        the filly once again over the same distance to assess its ability 
        to  perform  over longer distances keeping in mind  the  upcoming 
        classic  races ; (c) he would shift over to the shorter  distance 
        in  case the filly fails to perform upto the mark were noted  for 
        future reference. 
        
        7th Race:     21.The Madras Race Club Trophy-(About) 1600 Metres.
         7 Runners    Horses rated 80 and above.
        
        PERPETUITY  (Suraj  Narredu) sustained an injury  on  right  hind 
        tendon. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g PERPE-
        TUITY. 
        
        8th Race:     22. The V. Gopal Memorial Plate - (About) 1400 
        12 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65.
        
        STAR OF EXCELLENCE (C. Krishnan) lost many lengths at the  start.  
        In  view  of its behaviour trainer Mr. B. Puttanna  was  informed 
        that  he  must not accept with it again until its  behaviour  im-
        proved  to  the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards  in  one 
        Mock Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
        Jockey  S.  Ramesh, the rider of FLAIR QUEEN  reported  that  his 
        saddle slipped back during the race. Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao  was 
        fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling of his charge FLAIR QUEEN. 
        
        It was reported that VALID EXPECTATION (S. John) burst its  blood 
        vessels  during  the  race.  Trainer Mr.  Arjun  Mangalorkar  was 
        informed  that  he must produce a Fitness  Certificate  from  the 
        Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        The  Clerk  of the Scales reported that Jockey S.  Selvaraj,  the 
        rider of LEOPARDINO `weighed in' 600 grams more than what he  had 
        `weighed out`. He was cautioned that the repetition of a  similar 
        incident would be viewed seriously.
        
        Jockey  Shanth  Kumar,  the  rider  POWER  TO  FIGHT  was   fined 
        Rs.1,000/- for riding an incompetent race. 
        
        Jockey  S.  John, the rider of VALID EXPECTATION  (drawn  6)  was 
        reported to the Stewards for careless riding (Rule No.161(i))  on 
        his  mount in that soon after the start he shifted  `in'  sharply 
        before passing the red marker post and caused severe interference 
        to  FLAIR  QUEEN (S. Ramesh-drawn 5) and  SUNNY  COLOURS  (Samuel 
        Fargeat-drawn  3) on his inside both of which had to  be  checked 
        resulting  in interference to SUPERIOR SURPRISE (C.  Harish-drawn 
        2)  and HIDALGO (S. Chandrashekar-drawn 1) thereby they also  had 
        to  be checked by their respective riders. The Stewards  held  an 
        enquiry  after  the  last race and interviewed  Jockey  S.  John.  
        After deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey S. John  from 
        riding  in races from 25-11-2008 to 5-12-2008 (both  days  inclu-
        sive)  for  careless riding (Rule No.161(i)) on his  mount  VALID 
        EXPECTATION in the above race (permitted to ride work).
        
        9th Race:     23. The B.P.Shivan Memorial Plate-Div.I - (About) 
        12 Runners    1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4, 5 & 6 years
                      old.
        
        As  the horses were galloping fiercely approaching the  1050  Me-
        tres,  AXIOLOGY (Suraj Narredu) along the rails slightly  shifted 
        out  and bumped SUPER SONIC (C. Krishnan) which in  turn   bumped 
        AWESOME  BEAUTY (K.P.G.Appu) on his outside. Almost at  the  same 
        instant  of time BEE THE STAR (S.Shiva Kumar) who was  travelling 
        on  the outside slightly shifted inwards forcing  AWESOME  BEAUTY 
        (K.P.G.  Appu) to check and roll on to ASIATICUS (S.A. De  Sousa) 
        causing him to check his mount. As the jostling occurred owing to 
        crowding of the field no further action was considered necessary.
        
        AWESOME  BEAUTY (K.P.G. Appu) sustained cut injury on  left  hock 
        and right hind cannon and tendon.

        Permission  was  granted to Trainers M/s. Neil Darashah  &  Arjun 
        Mangalorkar to deputise on behalf of trainers M/s. Warren Singh & 
        M.B.  Mangalorkar  respectively  who were unable  to  attend  the 
        races.

                      FIRST DAY, FRIDAY, 7TH NOVEMBER, 2008
        
        4th Race:     4. The Baba Khan Memorial Plate-(About)1600 Metres.
        10 Runners    Horses rated 40 to 65, 4, 5 & 6 years old.
        
        After  due  enquiry into the running and riding of  JEDI  KNIGHT, 
        trained  by Mr. Neil Darashah and ridden by Jockey A.  Velu,  the 
        Stipendiary   Stewards  decided  to  (a)  fine  Jockey  A.   Velu 
        Rs.5,000/-  for injudicious handling of his mount JEDI KNIGHT  in 
        that  he  took an unduly long lead whereby his  mount  tired  out 
        before  entering  the straight and finished down the  field;  (b) 
        severely  caution  trainer  Mr. Neil Darashah  to  give  specific 
        riding instructions to his Jockeys in future.  
        
                    SECOND DAY, SATURDAY, 8TH NOVEMBER, 2008
        
        5th Race: 12.  The Air Force Trophy-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres.
        12 Runners   Horses rated 40 to 65.
        
        The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider 
        of  GLORIOUS PRINCESS to the Stewards for careless  riding  (Rule 
        No.161(i)) on his mount in that he shifted `in' and caused inter-
        ference  to  EQUIDAE (K.P.G.Appu) which in turn passed it  on  to 
        ALCMENE(Suraj Narredu) passing the 400 Metres. The Stewards  held 
        an  enquiry on 15th November 2008 and interviewed Jockey D.  Gna-
        neshwar.   After  deliberations, they decided to fine  Jockey  D. 
        Gnaneshwar  a sum of Rs.5,000/- for careless riding on his  mount 
        GLORIOUS PRINCESS. 
        
        7th Race:    14. The Air Force Trophy-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres.
        12 Runners   Horses rated 40 to 65.
        
        After due enquiry into the poor performance of IMPERIAL APPLAUSE, 
        explanation  tendered by the trainer Mr. V. Lokanath that he  was 
        also  surprised by the poor performance of his charge was  noted. 
        However, he was cautioned to ensure consistent performance of his 
        horses in future.
