1st Race: 24.The Chinthamani Plate - (About) 1400 Metres
11 Runners Horses rated 00 to 25.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar to depu-
tise on behalf of Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal for the first race
since he could not arrive in time. However, trainer Mr. Dhariwal
was cautioned not to repeat the same.
Soon after jumping out of the starting gates, HENRY'S SECRET
(Samuel Fargeat-drawn 10)jumped awkwardly inwards and REDSHIFT
(K.P.G. Appu-drawn 8) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconven-
ienced SAYONARA (A. Ashok Kumar-drawn 9).
Jockey K.Raja Rao, the rider of MEXIKAN WAVE was reprimanded for
dropping hands before passing the winning post.
Jockey Samuel Fargeat, the rider of HENRY'S SECRET, was fined
Rs.1,000/- for shifting `in' and causing interference to REDSHIFT
(K.P.G. Appu) approaching the 300 Metres.
Jockey Samuel Fargeat, the rider of HENRY'S SECRET, was fined
Rs.1,000/- for excessive use of the whip on his mount during the
race (1st infringement).
LATVIA (Suraj Narredu) sustained a cut injury on the face.
ROYAL FLYNN (Gaurav Sapra) sustained bruises on left hind cannon.
2nd Race: 25. The Beloved Prince Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200
9 Runners Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5 and 6 years old
GO GO BOY (G. Adarsh) stumbled and fell approaching the 1000
Metres thereby dislodging the rider. However, the rider escaped
unhurt.
GO GO BOY (G. Adarsh) was examined by the Chief Veterinary Offic-
er after the race and was found to have sustained fracture of
right fore. Hence it was euthanized on humanitarian ground.
Jockey P.S.Chouhan, the rider of WORD TO WORD reported that his
mount was not galloping fluently and did not show any interest
throughout the race.
BROTHERS IN ARMS (A. Velu) shifted `in' approaching the 400 Me-
tres thereby inconveniencing MISS PUKKA (S. John) on the inside.
RAIN MAN (S. Chandrashekar) was examined after the race and found
to be trotting lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was
informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the
Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
3rd Race: 26. The Longines Classic Trophy -(About) 1400
10 Runners Metres. Horses rated 80 and above.
Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of EINSTEIN, reported that his
mount was hanging out in the straight. Trainer Mr. M. Eshwer was
informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appro-
priate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
Jockey Samuel Fargeat, the rider of FLEETING ARROW was fined
Rs.3,000/- for shifting `in' and causing severe interference to
STYLISH BAY (S. Chandrashekar) on his inside approaching the 1000
Metres.
Jockey Samuel Fargeat the rider of FLEETING ARROW was reported
to the stewards for careless riding (Rule no.161 (i)) on his
mount in that he shifted 'in' and caused severe interference to
SOBERANO (Vinod Shinde) which in turn passed it on to FANTABULOUS
PRINCE (Gaurav Sapra) & JERSEY PRIDE (A.Ashok Kumar) approaching
the 1300 Metres. The Stewards held an enquiry on 26th November,
2008 and interviewed Jockey Samuel Fargeat. After deliberations,
they decided to suspend Jockey Samuel Fargeat from riding in
races from 6-12-2008 to 7-12-2008 (both days inclusive) for care-
less riding (Rule No.161(i)) on his mount FLEETING ARROW in the
above race (permitted to ride work).
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c FLEET-
ING ARROW.
4th Race: 27. The Bellary Plate - (About) 1400 Metres
11 Runners Horses rated 20 to 45.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Darius Byramji to withdraw
ORIENTATION (S. Shiva Kumar) on veterinary grounds as it was
found to be suffering from PYREXIA due to inflammed right elbow.
Trainer was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate
from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it
again.
Jockey M.J. Gautam Raj Urs, the rider of TACTICAL GAME, reported
that he lost his right stirrup soon after the start and regained
it within 200 Metres. He was reprimanded in the presence of his
trainer and was advised to be more careful in future.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of SILKEN THOMAS, reported that
he could not get a clear run soon after the start due to the
crowding of the field.
COMMANCHE WAR PAINT (M. Ravi) burst its blood vessel during the
race. Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was informed that he must produce
a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before
accepting with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g DESERT
RULE.
5th Race: 28. The Gangavathi Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres.
10 Runners Maiden Indian Horses 2 years old only.
The Clerk of the scales reported that Jockey Samuel Fargeat, the
rider of MAJESTIC STRIDES 'weighed in' 600 grams more than what
he had 'weighed out'. He was cautioned that the repetition of a
similar incident would be viewed seriously.
6th Race: 29. The P. Anthony Memorial Plate - (About) 1600
11 Runners Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65.
ALCHESAYE (Ryan Marshall) lost few lengths at the start. In view
of its behaviour trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was informed that he
must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the
satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in two jump outs on
starting gate practice days.
7th Race: 30. The Beloved Prince Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200
10 Runners Metres.Horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5 and 6 years Old
ALLEGRO (M.D.Praveen - drawn 3) jumped awkwardly outwards thereby
inconvenienced SHE'S A DIAMOND (C.Krishnan - drawn 4) soon after
jumping out of the starting gate.
As directed by the Stewards, the Stipendiary Stewards held an
enquiry into the running and riding of ARABIAN MEMORIES trained
by Mr. B. Prithviraj and ridden by Jockey P.S.Chouhan.
After a detailed enquiry by the Stipendiary Stewards and submis-
sion of a report thereon, the Stewards held an enquiry on 26-11-
2008 and interviewed trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj and Jockey P.S.
Chouhan. After deliberations, they decided to (a) note the
explanations tendered by both for future reference; (b) severely
warn trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj to be more careful with regard to
the running of his horses in future; and (c) severely reprimand
Jockey P.S. Chouhan to be more careful while choosing his mounts.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g
ECUADOR.
