1st Race: 31. The Silicon Valley Plate (About)1200 Metres.
10 Runners Horses rated 00 to 25.
LUCKY LOOK (B. Sreekanth) planted and took no practical part in
the race. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was
informed that he must not accept with it again until its
behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Ste-
wards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of DAZZLING LIGHT, was fined
Rs.1,000/- for dropping hands 200 Metres from the winning post.
Jockey S. Shiva Kumar, the rider of GIRL NEXT DOOR, was repri-
manded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.
Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of LUCKY LOOK, was severely repri-
manded for slapping the horse on its face repeatedly when the
horse did not jump out of the starting gate.
2nd Race: 32. The Half A Crown Plate - (About) 1600 Metres.
8 Runners Horses rated 20 to 45.
Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was fined Rs.500/- for not obtaining prior
permission to take his charge ROYAL CHIEF to the starting gates
in advance of the remainder of the field, as per General Condi-
tion 20 of the Prospectus of BWM 2008-09.
MANTHARA (A.Ashok Kumar) sustained a cut injury on right hind
fetlock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f SHOOT A
RAINBOW.
3rd Race: 33. The Swarnamukhi Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
9 Runners Horses rated 20 to 45.
DESIRE TO DAZZLE (Md. Shafiq) could not get a clear run approach-
ing the 1000 metres due to the crowding of the field .
STAR LEAGUE (B. Sreekanth) was examined after the race and found
to be walking lame on right hind due to deep cut injury on right
hind tendon. Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must
produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer
before accepting with it again.
Jockey B.L. Paswan, the rider of AHIRA was fined Rs.2,000/- for
shifting `in' and causing interference to RAPTOR FORCE (S.A.De
Sousa) on his inside approaching the 800 Metres.
4th Race: 34. The T. Dougall Memorial Plate-Div.II-(About)
8 Runners 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65.
KAJURAHO (Vinod Shinde) sustained a bleeding cut injury on right
hind coronet.
Jockey C. Krishnan, the rider of LESTER was fined Rs.2,000/- for
not infusing adequate vigour on his mount in the straight.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g
LUMINOUS GOLD.
The Stipendiary stewards reported Jockey P.S.Chouhan the rider of
LITTLE SPLENDOUR to the Stewards for careless riding (Rule no.161
(i)) on his mount in that he shifted `in' and caused severe
interference to SUNNY BABA (Samuel Fargeat) approaching the 1000
Metres. The Stewards held an enquiry on 26th November, 2008 and
interviewed Jockey P.S.Chouhan. After deliberations, they decided
to suspend Jockey P.S.Chouhan from riding in races from 6-12-2008
to 14-12-2008 (both days inclusive) for careless riding (Rule
No.161(i)) on his mount LITTLE SPLENDOUR in the above race (per-
mitted to ride work).
5th Race: 35. The M.S. Krishnappa Memorial Cup (About) 1400
12 Runners Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65. 4, 5 & 6 years old.
As Jockey S.S. Baria could not fulfill his riding engagement,
permission was granted to trainer Mr. M.B. Mangalorkar to substi-
tute Jockey S. John to ride BADDA RUPAIYYA in his place.
As Jockey P.S. Chouhan was certified medically unfit to ride,
permission was granted to trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj to substitute
Jockey Suraj Narredu to ride MADAM RICH in his place.
Jockey S. Shiva Kumar, the rider of MAC was fined Rs.2,000/- for
shifting out and causing interference to WAR CHILD (Gaurav Sapra)
on his outside soon after the start.
The Clerk of the Scales reported that Jockey S.Shiva Kumar the
rider of MAC `weighed in' 600 grams more than what he had
`weighed out'. After questioning trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala and
Jockey S.Shiva Kumar, the Stipendiary Stewards decided to fine
trainer Mr.Irfan Ghatala Rs.3,000/- for replacing the girth
after jockey S. Shiva Kumar had `weighed out'.
SEASONS GREETINGS (Vivek) sustained a cut injury on right fore
coronet.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b f MADAM RICH.
6th Race: 36. The Kempegowda Cup - (About) 1200 Metres.
4 Runners 3 years old Indian horses (foaled in 2005)(Terms).
Jockey Saleem Golam, the rider of LOTUS LEAF, was fined
Rs.1,000/- for shifting `out' and causing interference to KYLES
OF BUTE (S. John) on his outside approaching 1100 Metres.
Jockey S. John, the rider of KYLES OF BUTE was reprimanded for
shifting `in' and tightening MIGHTY HEART (Samuel Fargeat) on his
inside approaching the 400 Metres.
7th Race: 37. The Kudremukh Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
10 Runners Horses rated 60 to 85.
Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao was fined Rs.500/- for not obtaining
prior permission to take his charge ON A ROLL to the starting
gates in advance of the remainder of the field, as per General
Condition 20 of the Prospectus of BWM 2008-09.
8th Race: 38. The T. Dougall Memorial Plate - Div.I - (About)
8 Runners 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65.
CELESTIAL SON was withdrawn on veterinary ground as it was found
to be lame on left fore due to sprained fetlock joint. Trainer
Mr. Neil Darashah was informed that he must produce a Fitness
Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting
with it again.
Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of GRIS RAPIDE was fined
Rs.5,000/- for slackening in the final stages of the race.
INDIA SHINING (Shobhan Babu) sustained an injury on right fore
fetlock.
Routine sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f CART

22. The V. Gopal Memorial Plate -(About) 1400 Metres. For horses
rated 40 to 65.
The Board of Appeal at its meeting held on Thursday, 27th
November 2008, considered the appeal filed by Jockey S. John
against the decision of the Stewards in suspending his licence
from 25-11-2008 to 5-12-2008 (both days inclusive) for careless
riding {Rule No.161(i)} on his mount VALID EXPECTATION.
They interviewed Jockey S. John. After deliberations the
Board decided to (a) reject the appeal filed by Jockey S. John;
(b) in terms of Rule No.49(e) of the BTC Rules of Racing, modify
the punishment awarded by the Stewards to Jockey S. John in that
his Jockey's Licence shall remain suspended from 25-11-2008 to
7-12-2008 (both days inclusive) for careless riding {Rule
No.161(i)} on his mount VALID EXPECTATION (permitted to ride
work); and (c) forfeit the appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- paid by
Jockey S. John.
