        1st Race:     39. The Saddle Up Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres
         9 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45.
        
        ATTATURK (Khalander) jumped awkwardly inwards and  inconvenienced 
        BID FOR GLORY (Samuel Hitchcott) on the inside soon after jumping 
        out of the starting gates.
        
        SWEET VENGEANCE (David Allan) sustained a bleeding cut injury  on 
        right fore fetlock.
        
        2nd Race:     40. The Linganamakki Plate - (About) 1100 Metres.
        12 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 25.
        
        Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of TAKE MY WORD, reported that  his 
        mount  was  hanging `out' throughout the race.   Trainer  Mr.  F. 
        Sirajuddin was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and 
        take  appropriate  corrective measures before accepting  with  it 
        again. 
        
        FLYING  JET  (S. Selvaraj) pulled up lame on right  fore  on  the 
        track. Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must  produce 
        a  Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer  before 
        accepting with it again. 
        
        VALIANT  BID  (K. Raja Rao) burst its blood  vessels  during  the 
        race.  Trainer Mr. Karan Singh was informed that he must  produce 
        a  Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer  before 
        accepting with it again. 
        
        Jockey  Mohammed  Shoaib, the rider of LADY OF LIGHT,  was  fined 
        Rs.2,000/-  for shifting `out' and causing interference to  GAMPU 
        (T. Rahul) on his outside approaching the 1000 Metres. 
        
        Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of LADY OF LIGHT, was  severely 
        reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course in the last 400 
        Metres. 
        
        LADY OF LIGHT (Mohammed Shoaib) sustained cut injuries  on  right 
        fore and right hind. 
        
        TAKE  MY WORD (K.P.G. Appu) was examined and found to have  inju-
        ries on the commisures (on either side). 
        3rd Race:     41. The Saddle Up Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres
         9 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45.
        
        Jockey  S.A.  DeSouza, the rider of SCRAMJET, reported  that  his 
        mount slipped at the start. 
        
        Jockey  S.  Ramesh, the rider of SUPER SHA, was  reprimanded  for 
        slackening in the last 20 Metres. 
        
        JUST GREAT (Samuel Hitchcott) burst its blood vessels during  the 
        race. Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was informed that he must produce  a 
        Fitness  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary  Officer  before 
        accepting with it again. 
        
        Routine  Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g  SUPER 
        SHA. 
        
        4th Race:     42. The Dharwar Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden 
        11 Runners    Indian Horses 2 years old only (Terms).
        
        Permission  was granted to trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad  to  withdraw 
        MAJESTIC  STRIDES on veterinary grounds as it was suffering  from 
        colic.   He was informed that he must produce a Fitness  Certifi-
        cate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with  it 
        again.  
        
        GOOD  GIFT (Vivek) jumped out and swerved outwards.  In  view  of 
        its behaviour trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed that he must not 
        accept  with it again until its behaviour improved to the  satis-
        faction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting 
        gate practice day.
        
        SMART  COOKY (B.L. Paswan) veered out badly approaching  the  600 
        Metres.  In  view of its bahaviour trainer Mr.  Samar  Singh  was 
        informed  that  he must not accept with it again  until  its  be-
        haviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary  Stewards 
        in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
        Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy and Jockey Y.S. Srinath were  questioned 
        regarding  the poor performance of STAR ASSEMBLY as  compared  to 
        its  previous  run in Race No.1 of the Bangalore  Winter  Meeting 
        2008-09.  The Trainer stated that he had instructed the rider  to 
        maintain second or third position till the final bend and do  his 
        best  in the straight. The Jockey stated that he rode as per  the 
        instructions  of the trainer and he further added that his  mount 
        was hanging `out' in the straight. Their explanations were noted.  
        However,  trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was cautioned that his  horses 
        should  perform more consistently in future and that the  repeti-
        tion of a similar incident would be viewed seriously.  
        
        STAR ASSEMBLY (Y.S. Srinath) was impounded for veterinary  exami-
        nation  after  the race.  On examination, it was  found  to  have 
        injuries on either side of buccal cavity. 
        
        Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b g STAR ASSEMBLY. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g  PRICE 
        TO FAME. 
        
        5th Race:     43. The Kumararajah M.A.M.Muthiah Trophy - (About)
        10 Runners    1600 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4, 5 and 6
                       years old.
        
        Jockey  Suraj  Narredu, the rider of EL GORDO, reported  that  he 
        lost his whip approaching the 300 Metres. 
        
        Jockey  C. Krishnan, the rider of STAR OF EXCELLENCE,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/- for travelling wide throughout the race for no  appar-
        ent reason. 
        
        6th Race:     44. The N.Wood Memorial Plate- (About) 1400 Metres
        10 Runners    Horses rated 40 to 65.
        
        Permission  was granted to trainer Mr. Warren Singh  to  withdraw 
        FLY FREE on veterinary grounds as it was examined and found to be 
        trotting  lame on right fore due to sprained tendon.  He was  in-
        formed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's 
        Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        ONE  (C.D.  Hayes) was extremely fractious in the gates  and  its 
        right  fore  leg  was caught on the platform  for  a  significant 
        period of time with the horse in sitting position.   Subsequently 
        the  horse fell on its back with the saddle getting pushed on  to 
        the withers. Under the circumstances, the horse was permitted  to 
        be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under  Starter's 
        orders.  Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that he  must 
        produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary  Officer 
        before accepting with it again. 
        
        Jockey  S.  Selvaraj, the rider of FIREZONE was advised  that  he 
        must take all possible steps to improve his riding capability.
         
        Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was questioned regarding the poor perfor-
        mance  of  his charge SUN ZONE (C. Krishnan) which  ran  detached 
        from  the  field. He was further cautioned to  ensure  consistent 
        performance of his horses in future. 
         
        Trainer  Mr. S. Ganapathy was questioned regarding the poor  per-
        formance  of  his  charge MUSICAL PARADISE (M.  Ravi)  which  ran 
        detached  from  the  field. He was further  cautioned  to  ensure 
        consistent performance of his horses in future. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g VALIANT 
        BAY. 

        7th Race:     45. The Fernhill's Palace Bangalore 1000 Guineas
        16 Runners    (Grade II)-(About) 1600 Metres. For 3 year Old
                      Indian Fillies (Foaled in 2005).
        
        Jockey  Samuel Hitchcott, the rider of ALCMENE,  was  reprimanded 
        for  shifting out and inconveniencing RIMPUCHE  (S.A.DeSousa)  on 
        his outside approaching the 250 Metres.
        
        Jockey Samuel Fargeat, the rider of EQUIDAE, was fined Rs.1,000/- 
        for  shifting  `in' and causing interference  to  RIMPUCHE  (S.A. 
        DeSousa) on his inside approaching the 200 Metres. 
        
        Jockey C. Krishnan, the rider of GREENS, was severely reprimanded 
        for dropping his hands before passing the winning post. 
        
        ABSFABS  (Suraj  Narredu) sustained a cut injury  on  right  hind 
        cannon. 
        
        ORIGINALITY  (B.  Prakash) sustained a cut injury  on  left  hind 
        cannon. 
        
        Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following  I, 
        II and III placed horses viz:

        8th Race:     46. The Taj Stud Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.
        12 Runners    Horses rated 60 to 85, 4, 5 & 6 years old.
        
        As  Jockey Samuel Fargeat was certified medically unfit to  ride, 
        permission was granted to trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad to  substitute 
        Jockey S.S.DeSouza to ride GAME FIGHTER in his place.
        
        ATTAIN (Saleem Golam) took a fly jump.
        
        Jockey  Shanth  Kumar,  the  rider of  RAIDER'S  SUN,  was  fined 
        Rs.5,000/- for the injudicious handling of his mount in last  200 
        Metres. 
        
        Trainer  Mr.  J.S.  Dhariwal was questioned  regarding  the  poor 
        performance of his charge ACT SMART (P.S. Chouhan).  The  trainer 
        stated  that (a) the horse was running after a long gap; (b)  the 
        horse  was  treated for shoulder problem; and (c) the  horse  was 
        working well on the track. His explanations were noted for future 
        reference  and was further informed to ensure better  performance 
        of his charge in future. 
        
        RAIDER'S SUN (Shanth Kumar) sustained cut injuries on right  hind 
        tendon and inner bulb of heel. 
       
        9th Race:     47. The Antaragange Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.
        11 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5 & 6 years old.
        
        Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan to  withdraw 
        WIN  PRETTY  BABY  on veterinary grounds as it was  found  to  be 
        walking lame on right hind due to bleeding injury on stifle.   He 
        was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from  the 
        Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        SHISHAM  (S. Shiva Kumar) drifted out under pressure in the  last 
        200 Metres. 
        
        STAR  BLUE  reared up as the starting gate opened  and  dislodged 
        the  rider as such the horse did not take any practical  part  in 
        the race. 
        
        Jockey K. Raja Rao, the rider of MY PRECIOUS GIRL, reported  that 
        his mount did not raise a fluent gallop in the straight.
         
        Trainer Mr. Karan Singh was questioned regarding the poor perfor-
        mance of his charge MY PRECIOUS GIRL (K. Raja Rao) which ran  de-
        tached from the field. He was further informed that he must  take 
        all possible steps to ensure better performance in future. 
        
        STAR BLUE (Gaurav Sapra) sustained bleeding gum injury.

        Permission  was granted to trainers M/s. V. Lokanath  and  Sharat 
        Kumar  to deputise on behalf of trainers M/s. S. Inayathulla  and 
        Warren Singh who were unable to attend the races.
