1st Race: 1. The Inauguration Stakes-(About) 1100 Metres.
7 Runners Maiden Indian Horses 2 years old only (Terms).
PEARL OF BANGALORE was examined on 6th November 2008 at 7.05 a.m.
and was found to be trotting lame on left fore due to shins.
Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was informed that he must produce a
Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before
accepting with it again.
Jockey Ryan Marshall was questioned regarding the riding on his
mount ASTON PARK. The Jockey stated that his mount was inclined
to lug in and take the support of the rails and further that the
horse was not passing through the gap thereby he was forced to
pull out the horse to the outside of GRAND TOPAZ (Vinod Shinde)
in the straight. His explanations were noted.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f IDAR
PRINCESS.
2nd Race: 2. The Somnathpur Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
10 Runners Horses rated 00 to 25, 4,5 & 6 years old.
Jockey N. Harsha, the rider of COMMAND PERFORMANCE, was repri-
manded for not maintaining a straight course in the straight.
Apprentice Jockey G. Adarsh, the rider of QUIET ACHIEVER was
fined Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight course approach-
ing the 300 Metres.
Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of CLASSIC MOVEMENTS, was fined
Rs.1,000/- for shifting `in' and causing interference to COUELLE
(M.J. Gautam Raj Urs) on his inside before passing the red marker
post.
Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of ASPIRING SEVEN, was fined
Rs.1,000/- for excessive use of whip on his mount during the race
(1st infringement).
3rd Race: 3. The Dandeli Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.
10 Runners Horses rated 20 to 45.
Jockey A. Velu, the rider of VAYUPUTRA, was fined Rs.1,000/- for
travelling wide in the straight for no apparent reason.
VAYUPUTRA (A. Velu) sustained an injury on left hind cannon.
BORN TO SHINE (P. Ramesh) sustained an injury on right hind
cannon.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b g
EDMONDO.
Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was questioned regarding the poor perfor-
mance of his charge BORN TO SHINE (P. Ramesh) which ran detached
from the field and was further informed to ensure better perfo-
rance in future.
4th Race: 4. The Baba Khan Memorial Plate-(About)1600 Metres.
10 Runners Horses rated 40 to 65, 4, 5 & 6 years old.
An enquiry has been opened into the running and riding of JEDI
KNIGHT, trained by Mr. Neil Darashah and ridden by Jockey A.
Velu.
5th Race: 5. The Rajyotsava Trophy - (About) 1400 Metres.
13 Runners Indian Horses 3 years old and over-(Terms).
GUIDED MISSILE (S. Chandrashekar) jumped awkwardly inwards and
inconvenienced WONDER SMILE (D. Patel) on his inside soon after
the start.
Jockey D. Patel, the rider of WONDER SMILE, was fined Rs.2,000/-
for travelling wide throughout the race for no apparent reason.
RIO BRAVO (K.P.G. Appu) lost many lengths at the start. In view
of its behaviour trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur was informed that he
must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the
satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a
race day on the race track.
Jockey Vivek, the rider of AURELIAN, was fined Rs.1,000/- for
shifting `in' and causing interference to GUIDED MISSILE (S.
Chandrashekar) on his inside approaching the 300 Metres.
6th Race: 6. The Kunigal Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses
12 Runners rated 60 to 85, 4, 5 & 6 years old.
Jockey Shanth Kumar was unable to fulfill his riding engagement
as he had failed to deposit his riding equipment 48 hours before
the race day. Hence permission was granted to trainer Mr. S.
Singh to substitute Jockey F.K. Shahbuddin in place of Jockey
Shanth Kumar the declared rider.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of ANDRONICUS, was fined
Rs.2,000/- for cutting across the field sharply before passing
the red marker post.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of ANDRONICUS, was fined
Rs.2,000/- for shifting `in' and causing interference to CALLISTA
(Ryan Marshall) on his inside approaching the 1000 Metres.
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Mohd. Shoaib, the rider
of SOUTHERNER to the Stewards for careless riding (Rule
No.161(i)) on his mount in the above race in that he cut across -

the field sharply before passing the red marker post and caused
severe interference to RIVER ISLAND (K.P.G. Appu) who had to
check his mount to avoid clipping the heels of SOUTHERNER (Mohd.
Shoaib) in the process caused interference to SUGAR BLAZE (S.
Shiva Kumar) which in turn passed it on to RAIDER'S SUN (F.K.
Shahbuddin), BALLLERINA GIRL (Ranjeet Singh) and MASQUENADA (S.
John) which had to check severely. The Stewards held an enquiry
after the last race and interviewed Jockey Mohd. Shoaib. After
deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey Mohd. Shoaib from
riding in races from 17-11-2008 to 26-11-2008 (both days inclu-
sive) for careless riding (Rule No.161(i)) on his mount SOUTHERN-
ER in the above race (permitted to ride work).
SUGAR BLAZE (S. Shiva Kumar) sustained an injury on right hock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g CANNA-
VARO.
7th Race: 7. The Cordon Bleu Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.
11 Runners Horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5 & 6 years old.
As Jockey A. Velu was certified medically unfit to ride, permis-
sion was granted to trainer Mr. Neil Darashah to substitute
Jockey Mohd. Shafiq to ride ECUADOR in place of Jockey A. Velu
the declared rider.
ILLUSIVE GIRL (M.J. Gautam Raj Urs) was permitted to be withdrawn
on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's orders as it
was very fractious in the gates and sustained head injury.
BRAVE BHEEM (S. Chandrashekar) pulled up lame after the race on
right fore. Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must
produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer
before accepting with it again.
