        1st Race:     64. The Melkote Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
         8 Runners    Maiden Indian Horses 2 years old only.
        
        SUN  GOLD  (Vivek) jumped out awkwardly and  inconvenienced  REAL 
        MAGIC (L. Marshall) on the outside.
        
        PLATINUM  CHARMER(Md.  Shafiq)  was lethargic as  the  start  was 
        effected and thereafter veered out before finding foot.    
        
        Jockey  M.  Ravi, the rider of FOND APPROACH, had  to  check  his 
        mount  approaching  the  700 Metres along the rails  due  to  the 
        crowding of the field. 
        
        2nd Race:     65. The Thirthahalli Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
        11 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 25.
        
        CENTRUMM (S. Shiva Kumar) was examined at the starting gates  and 
        found  to be lame on right fore.  Under the circumstances it  was 
        permitted  to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's  orders. 
        Trainer  Mr.  Irfan Ghatala was informed that he must  produce  a 
        Fitness  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary  Officer  before 
        accepting with it again. 
        
        CHARCHAND  (B.L.  Paswan) sustained a cut injury  on  right  fore 
        fetlock. 
        
        ADAIR  (Chethana K.) was examined after the race and found to  be 
        lame  on left fore. Trainer Mr. J.S. Pillay was informed that  he 
        must  produce  a Fitness Certificate from the  Club's  Veterinary 
        Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        Jockey B.L. Paswan, the rider of CHAR CHAND, placed fourth by the 
        Judge  objected  against  Jockey Mohammed Shoaib,  the  rider  of 
        STAGELIGHT  placed first for coming `in' in the last  100  Metres 
        thereby he had to check his mount, in the process his horse shied 
        away. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and 
        interviewed Jockey B.L. Paswan and Mohammed Shoaib.  After delib-
        erations, they decided to overrule the objection. 
        
        Jockey  Mohammed  Shoaib,  the rider  of  STAGELIGHT,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for  not maintaining a straight course in  the  final 
        stages of the race. 
        
        Surprise  Sample  was taken for analysis from ch  f  CHILLY  CHO-
        COLATE.   
          
        3rd Race:     66. The Kabini Plate-DIV.II - (About) 1200 Metres.  
         9 Runners    Horses rated 60 to 85, 4, 5 and 6 years old.
        
        Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.500/- for making an  error 
        in  the  starting declaration in respect of  his  charge  MILAGRO 
        (Vinod Shinde) as regards shoeing. 
        
        4th Race:     67. The J.Tyrrell Memorial Plate - (About) 1400  
        11 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4,5 and 6 years old.
        
        SANGINI  (Vivek)  was withdrawn on veterinary grounds as  it  was 
        trotting lame on right hind due to sprained stifle.  Trainer  Mr. 
        S.  Inayathulla was informed that he must produce a Fitness  Cer-
        tificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with 
        it again.
        
        Jockey  Imran Chisty the rider of CRACKERJACK reported  that  his 
        mount stumbled approaching the 900 meters.  
        
        Jockey C.D. Hayes, the rider of CALLISTA, reported that he had to 
        check  his  mount due to the crowding of the field in  the  early 
        stage of the race.  
        
        Jockey  C.D.  Hayes, the rider of CALLISTA, was  reprimanded  for 
        coming `in' and inconveniencing MADAM RICH (Gaurav Sapra) on  his 
        inside approaching the 250 Metres.
        
        Jockey  Gaurav  Sapra,  the  rider  of  MADAM  RICH,  was   fined 
        Rs.1,000/- for exulting before passing the winning post. 
        
        Trainer Mr.R.R.Byramji was questioned regarding the poor  perfor-
        mance  of his charge GIFT A DIAMOND. The Trainer agreed that  the 
        horse  ran below his expectation. He further stated that he  him-
        self  was surprised with the poor performance of his  charge  and 
        could not attribute any specific reason for the same. Explanation 
        of  the Trainer was noted and he was informed to ensure that  his 
        charge performs up to its racing capability in future.
        
        Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was questioned regarding the  continued 
        poor  performance of his charge JEDI KNIGHT (A.Velu) in  that  it 
        finished  last in all the three starts during this  meeting.  The 
        Trainer  stated that (a) His horse is  small made ; (b)  It  per-
        forms well in firm going; (c) It appears to have lost form total-
        ly.  Explanation of the Trainer was noted for  future  reference. 
        However,  the  Trainer  was advised to desist  from  running  his 
        charge  till he is confident of his charge performing up  to  its 
        racing capability.   
        
        Trainer  Mr.  M.B.Mangalorkar was questioned regarding  the  poor 
        performance of his charge BADDA RUPAIYYA (Ranjeet Singh) and  was 
        further  informed that he should ensure that his charge  performs 
        up to its racing capability in future. 
  
        5th Race:     68. The Kabini Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres.  
         8 Runners    Horses rated 60 to 85, 4, 5 and 6 years old.
        
        PERFECT TRIBUTE (Ranjeeth Singh) took a fly jump. 
        
        Jockey  Ranjeeth Singh, the rider of PERFECT TRIBUTE,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for  coming `in' and  inconveniencing  STRONG  MINDED 
        (G.Y.  Rajesh  Babu) on his inside and further  bumped  CLASSICAL 
        DANCER (B. Sreekanth) on his outside approaching the 1100 Metres. 
        
        CANNAVARO (S. Selvaraj) sustained an injury on right hind.
        
        On  examination at 5.45 PM the Veterinary officer  reported  that 
        b.g.STRONG MINDED under the care of Trainer Mr.S.Dominic who  ran 
        in the above race had sustained injuries on left hind pastern and 
        left hock (medial aspect).    
        
        6th Race:    69. The Huthari Festival Plate-(About) 1400 Metres.
        11 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45.
        
        CUTE  STYLE (Khalander) stumbled and drifted out approaching  the 
        250 Metres. 
        
        SON  OF THE SUN (Harsha N.)  swerved towards left  after  jumping 
        out and did not raise a fluent gallop thereafter.  In view of its 
        behaviour,  Trainer  Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was informed  that  he 
        must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the 
        satisfaction  of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race  on  a 
        race day on the race track. 
        
        7th Race:     70. The Harvins Bangalore 2000 Guineas (Grade 2) 
        12 Runners    (About) 1600 Metres. For 3 year Old Indian Horses
                        (Foaled in 2005) (Terms).
        
        Jockey  Suraj Narredu, the rider of ARCHIPENKO, reported that  he 
        could  not get a clear run approaching the 350 Metres due to  the 
        crowding of the field. 
        
        Jockey  Saleem Golam, the rider of ABLE ASSOCIATE, reported  that 
        he  could not get a clear run approaching the 300 Metres  due  to 
        the crowding of the field. 
        
        Jockey C.D. Hayes, the rider of ARISTOS, was fined Rs.1,000/- for 
        not exercising sufficient control over his mount in the last  300 
        Metres  thereby inconveniencing MARK OF GIBRALTAR (Imran  Chisty) 
        on his inside approaching the 250 Metres.
        
        Jockey Suraj Narredu the rider of ARCHIPENKO, was reprimanded for 
        the improper use of the whip during the race.  
        
        Compulsory  Samples  were taken for analysis from  the  following 
        first, second and third placed horses viz:

        8th Race:     71. The Shantiniketan Trophy-(About) 1400 Metres
        12 Runners    Horses rated 80 and above.
        
        Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.500/- for failing to  pro-
        duce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his  charge 
        SLAVIC.  Subsequently `all black' emergency colours were  permit-
        ted to be used. 
        
        SLAVIC (S. Shiva Kumar) stumbled approaching the 800 Metres. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch c TOMSK.
        
        9th Race:     72. The Premium Spirit Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. 
        11 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5 and 6 years old.
        
        LAGO VISTA (Ranjeet Singh) was withdrawn on veterinary grounds as 
        it  was found to be trotting lame on left fore due  to  inflammed 
        fetlock.  Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must  pro-
        duce  a  Fitness Certificate from the Club's  Veterinary  Officer 
        before accepting with it again. 
        
        PRINCESS KIDANE (M.Ravi) jumped out awkwardly thereby unbalancing 
        the rider at the start.
        
        Jockey  M.  Ravi,  the  rider  of  PRINCESS  KIDANE,  was   fined 
        Rs.1,000/- for traveling wide throughout the race for no apparent 
        reason. 
        
        Jockey  S.  Chandrashekar,  the  rider of  RAIN  MAN,  was  fined 
        Rs.2,000/- for shifting `in' and causing interference to BROTHERS 
        IN  ARMS  (A.  Ashok Kumar)  on his inside  approaching  the  300 
        Metres. 
        
        Routine sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f GRAPHIC 
        DESIGN.

        Permission  was  granted to trainer Mr. Manohar  to  deputise  on 
        behalf  of trainer Mr. Karan Singh who was unable to  attend  the 
        races.
