        1st Race:     81. The Novice Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres.
        11 Runners    Maiden Indian Horses 2 years old only (Terms).
        
        YOURE CHILUBULI (Harsha N) was examined on Friday, 26th  December 
        2008 at 6.10 pm and found to be suffering from colic.  Under  the 
        circumstances  it  was  permitted to be  withdrawn.  Trainer  Mr. 
        Pradeep  Annaiah  was  informed that he must  produce  a  Fitness 
        Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer before  accepting 
        with it again. 
        
        Jockey C.D. Hayes, the rider of CAYENNE placed third by the Judge 
        objected  against both Jockey David Allan, the rider of  RULE  OF 
        ATTRACTION  placed  first  and Jockey B. Prakash,  the  rider  of 
        QUEEN'S  COLLECTION, placed second for interference by the  first 
        placed and second placed horses in the straight thereby affecting 
        his placing resulting in him losing the race.  The Stewards  held 
        an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys 
        concerned.   After deliberations, they decided to  overrule  both 
        the objections. 
        
        Jockey  David Allan, the rider of RULE OF ATTRACTION,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight course in the last  400 
        Metres. 
        
        Jockey  B. Prakash, the rider of QUEEN'S COLLECTION,  was  repri-
        manded  for going in slightly on to CAYENNE (C.D. Hayes)  passing 
        the 300 Metres. 
        
        ZAMALEK (S.A.DeSousa) sustained an injury on right hind fetlock.  
        
        2nd Race:    82. The Kakanakote Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.
        12 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 25.
        
        As  Jockey  C. Krishnan was certified medically  unfit  to  ride, 
        permission  was granted to trainer Mr. B. Puttanna to  substitute 
        Jockey Vinod Shinde to ride CORUS in place of the declared rider.  
        
        Trainer  Mr. Mahmood Khan was fined Rs.500/- for failing to  pro-
        duce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his  charge 
        FANTABULOUS  HERO.   Subsequently `all black'  emergency  colours 
        were permitted to be used.  
        
        Jockey  B. Sreekanth, the rider of VOODOO MOON,  was  reprimanded 
        for  not exercising sufficient control over his mount during  the 
        final stages of the race. 
        
        SENNA (K.P.G. Appu) sustained an injury on right hind pastern. 
        
        MONEY MANTRA (B.L. Paswan) sustained gum injury. 
      
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f  EXCEL-
        LENT ABILITY. 
        
        3rd Race:     83. The Novice Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres.
        11 Runners    Maiden Indian Horses 2 years old only (Terms).
        
        Permission  was granted to trainer Mr. B. Puttanna to  substitute 
        Jockey  S.  Guruprasad to ride ALIANZ in place  of  the  declared 
        rider.  
        
        Permission  was  granted to trainer Mr. Karan Singh  to  withdraw 
        FLYING BEAUTY on veterinary grounds as the filly played up in the 
        paddock and sustained a fall with resultant injuries on her right 
        chest  wall and right hock. Trainer Mr. Karan Singh was  informed 
        that  he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the  Club's  Ve-
        terinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        SUPREME ARCH (Shobhan Babu)jumped awkwardly inwards and inconven-
        ienced SPARK OF REVERENCE (S. John) on the inside.
        
        Jockey  David Allan, the rider of GYPSY MAGIC reported  that  his 
        mount was running green in the straight. Trainer Mr. S. Padmanab-
        han  was informed to take appropriate corrective measures  before 
        accepting with it again. 
        
        Jockey  K.P.G. Appu, the rider of MIGHTY MONARCH, was  questioned  
        as  to the reason for checking his mount in the early  stages  of 
        the  race, he stated that (a) the trainer had instructed  him  to 
        sit in third or fourth position till the final bend and to do his 
        best  in  the straight; (b) the horse was too keen in  the  early 
        stages of the races thereby he had to keep his mount with a  view 
        to  adhering to the trainer's instructions. The trainer  corrobo-
        rated  the  statement  of the Jockey with regard  to  his  riding 
        instructions  and added that he too observed  that his horse  was 
        too  keen  in the early stages of the race. He  further  informed 
        that  he would change his riding instructions in future so as  to 
        allow the horse to race from a forward position.  
        
        DREAM PARK (D. Gnaneshwar) sustained gum injury.
        
        4th Race:    84. The Amathos  Plate-Div.II-(About) 1400 Metres.
        12 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45.
        
        ROCAMORA  (Shanth Kumar) lost considerable ground at  the  start.  
        In  view of its behaviour trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda  was  in-
        formed that he must not accept with it again until its  behaviour 
        improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in three 
        jump outs on the starting gate practice days over a span of three 
        weeks before accepting with it again. 
        
        Jockey R. Koch, the rider of GIFTOFACHIEVEMENT reported that  his  
        mount was hanging `in' very badly in the straight. Trainer Mr. S. 
        Narredu  was informed to get it checked by his  Veterinarian  and 
        take  appropriate  corrective measures before accepting  with  it 
        again. 
        
        MUSIC  FOREVER  (Shobhan Babu) sustained gum  injury.  
    
        5th Race:     85. The T.B.Hanumantharaj Memorial Cup-(About) 1600
         9 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65.
        
        Permission  was granted to trainer Mr. B. Puttanna to  substitute 
        Jockey  Vinod  Shinde  to ride GREENS in place  of  the  declared 
        rider. 
        
        Jockey  David Allan, the rider of STAR SPEED, reported  that  his 
        mount stumbled approaching the 800 Metres.
        
        Jockey  Vinod Shinde, the rider of GREENS, was  fined  Rs.1,000/- 
        for  not  exercising sufficient control over  his  mount  thereby 
        repeatedly changing course in the straight.  
        
        Jockey  Vinod Shinde, the rider of GREENS reported that  he  lost 
        his whip approaching the 200 Metres. 
        
        Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was questioned regarding the poor perfor-
        mance of his charge MONARCHIAL (K.P.G. Appu). The trainer  stated 
        that  (a) the horse was running over  1600 Metres for  the  first 
        time;  (b)  after seeing its poor performance, he felt  that  the 
        present  distance may be too much; and (c) that he  would  switch 
        over  to  shorter distances in future. The  explanations  of  the 
        trainer was noted for future reference. 
        
        PLEASANT  PRINCE  (Shanth  Kumar) ran detached  from  the  field. 
        Trainer  Mr. R.V. Manohar was questioned with regard to  (a)  the 
        poor performance of his charge as compared to its racing capabil-
        ity;  (b) the deterioration of the performance of his  charge  as 
        compared  to its previous run during the meeting;  (c)  generally 
        poor performance of his wards during this meeting. As the trainer 
        could  not  attribute  any specefic reason,(a)  he  was  severely 
        cautioned with regard to his lackadaisical and feckless  approach 
        in  the running of his wards as generally most of his  wards  are 
        performing listlessly during this meeting; (b) he was advised  to 
        be very careful in choosing suitable races for his wards and also 
        with regard to the selection of riders on his wards in future. 
        
        6th Race:    86. The Amathos  Plate-Div.I-(About) 1400 Metres.
        10 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45.
        
        Permission  was granted to trainer Mr. B. Puttanna to  substitute 
        Jockey  S.  Guruprasad to ride SIMPLE in place  of  the  declared 
        rider.  
        
        TRAFALGAR SQUARE (Samuel Hitchcott) was examined at 7.05 a.m. and 
        was found to be suffering from colic.  Under the circumstances it 
        was  permitted  to be withdrawn. Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy  was  in-
        formed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's 
        Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        SIMPLE  (S.  Guruprasad) planted and refused to jump out  of  the 
        gates  and  took no practical part in the race.  In view  of  its 
        behaviour  trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed that he must  not 
        accept  with it again until its behaviour improved to the  satis-
        faction  of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on  a  race 
        day on the race track.  
           
        Jockey  K.  Raja  Rao, the rider of  PLEASANT  GLORY,  was  fined 
        Rs.5,000/-  for  checking his mount repeatedly  for  no  apparent 
        reason  thereby causing severe interference to FLIP YOUR  DESTINY 
        (Gaurav Sapra) on his inside and REDSHIFT (Imran Chisty) who  was 
        galloping  directly  behind PLEASANT GLORY approaching  the  1200 
        Metres. 
        
        Routine  Sample  was  taken for analysis from the  winner   ch  g 
        SARMAIDAR.
        
        7th Race:    87. The Hyderabad Silver Vase - (About) 1600 Metres.
        12 Runners    Horses rated 80 and above.
        
        RIO BRAVO (Suraj Narredu) was examined after the race at 4.55  pm 
        and  was  found to be trotting lame on right  fore.  Trainer  Mr. 
        Sriram  Komandur  was  informed that he must  produce  a  Fitness 
        Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer before  accepting 
        with it again. 
        
        MOTHER'S  PRIDE (S.A.DeSousa) sustained an injury on  right  hind 
        fetlock. 
        
        SUPER  SPEED (K.P.G. Appu) sustained a bruise on right hind  ten-
        don.
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g FANSTIC 
        QUEST. 
        
        8th Race:     88. The S.Nanjundaiah Memorial Plate-(About) 1200
        12 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4, 5 & 6 years old.
        
        Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was fined Rs.500/- for making an error  in 
        the starting declaration in respect of his charge DOCK OF BAY  as 
        regards shoeing.
        
        Permission  was  granted to trainer Mr. S. Britto  to  substitute 
        Jockey  Khursheed  Alam to ride AWESOME BEAUTY in  place  of  the 
        declared  rider as Jockey C. Harish could not arrive  to  fulfill 
        his riding engagement.  
        
        ENFORCER (Shobhan Babu) had to be checked due to the crowding  of 
        the field in the process it stumbled approaching the 800 Metres. 
        
        Jockey C. Harish, the rider of AWESOME BEAUTY was severely repri-
        manded for not fulfilling his riding engagement.
        
        Jockey  M.D.  Praveen, the rider of SMART N  SPECIAL,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/- for shifting `out' and causing interference to DOCK OF 
        BAY (Samuel Hitchcott) on his outside approaching the 250 Metres.  
        
        Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b f DOCK OF BAY.
        
        9th Race:     89. The Royal Russian Plate - (About) 1600 Metres.
        11 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5 & 6 years old.
        
        Permission  was granted to trainer Mr. B. Puttanna to  substitute 
        Jockey  S. Guruprasad to ride STAR NEWS in place of the  declared 
        rider.
 
        Trainer S. Padmanabhan was fined Rs.500/- for making an error  in 
        the starting declaration in respect of his charge DANTE'S PEAK as 
        regards shoeing.
        
        Jockey  M.D. Praveen, the rider of MEDIA MAN was severely  repri-
        manded for dropping his hands before passing the winning post.

        109. The Mandya Plate-(About) 1200 Metres. For Horses Rated 20 to 
        45, 3 years old.
        
        (a) The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their  meet-
        ing  held on 10th December 2008 considered the appeal dated  25th 
        October 2008 filed by Jockey P.S. Chouhan against the decision of 
        the Stewards of Mysore Race Club Ltd., in suspending his  licence 
        from 12-11-2008 to 25-2-2009 (both days inclusive) for contraven-
        tion  of Rule No.159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing in respect  of 
        his  mount STUNNING GREY in the above race. 
        
        (b) They interviewed Mr. Shehzad Abbas, Spokesman for Jockey P.S. 
        Chouhan and Mr. Pradeep Annaiah, the trainer of the horse.  After 
        deliberations, they decided to partially modify the Order of  the 
        Stewards  of Mysore Race Club Ltd., in that the Jockey's  Licence 
        granted to Jockey P.S. Chouhan shall stand withdrawn from  20-12-
        2008 to 19-3-2009 (both days inclusive) for contravention of Rule 
        159(b)  of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount STUNNING GREY  in 
        the  above  race and the appeal fee of  Rs.2,500/-  deposited  by 
        Jockey P.S. Chouhan be forfeited.

                   THIRTEENTH DAY, FRIDAY, 26TH SEPTEMBER 2008
        Race  No.109:  The Mandya Plate-(About) 1200 Metres.  For  horses 
        rated  20 to 45, 3 years old only.
        
        The Board of Appeal at its Meeting held on Thursday, 25th  Decem-
        ber  2008,  considered appeal dated 12th December 2008  filed  by 
        Jockey  P.S. Chouhan against the decision of the Stewards of  the 
        Club in suspending his licence from 20-12-2008 to 19-3-2009 (both 
        days inclusive) for contravention of Rule 159(b) of the BTC Rules 
        of Racing on his mount STUNNING GREY in the above race.
        
        They  interviewed  Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah  and  Jockey  P.S. 
        Chouhan.   After deliberations they decided to reduce the  period 
        of punishment in that his licence shall remain suspended from 26-
        12-2008  to 18-2-2009 (both days inclusive) for contravention  of 
        Rule 159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount STUNNING GREY 
        (not permitted to ride work). 
        
        The  Board further decided that appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- paid  by 
        Jockey P.S. Chouhan be forfeited.
