        RACING INCIDENTS                 GOING : GOOD

                                600 Metres to the winning post)
        
        1st Race:     48. The December Plate-(About) 1100 Metres. Maiden
        11 Runners    Indian Horses 2 years old only (Terms).
        
        Jockey  Vivek, the rider of ALPHA BABY, reported that  his  mount  
        stumbled approaching the 800 Metres. 
        
        CAPTIVATING  (C.D.  Hayes) sustained an injury on left  hind  fe-
        tlock. 
        
        2nd Race:     49. The Parfait Amour Plate - Div.II-(About) 1200 
         8 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, who have run at
                      least  twice under BTC Rules after 30th April  2008
                      and  not won a race at any centre after that  date. 
        
        LIFE IS WONDERFUL (Samuel Hitchcott) lost about 4 lengths at  the 
        start  and ran detached from the field. In view of its  behaviour 
        Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was informed that he must not accept  with 
        it  until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the  Sti-
        pendiary Stewards in two jump outs on starting practice days.  
        
        AHIRA (B.L.Paswan) burst its blood vessels after the race. Train-
        er Mr. Irfan Ghatala was informed that he must produce a  Fitness 
        Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer before  accepting 
        with it again.
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f AHIRA.
        
        3rd Race:     50. The Honnavar Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. 
        10 Runners    Horses rated 00 to 25, 4, 5 & 6 years  old.
        
        As  Jockey  J.  Pradeep was certified medically  unfit  to  ride, 
        permission was granted to trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan to  substitute 
        Jockey R. Koch to ride GRACIAN in place of the declared rider.
        
        CLASSIC MOVEMENTS (A.Ashok Kumar) was examined after the race and 
        found  to  be  trotting  lame  on  right  fore.  Trainer  Mr.  S. 
        Inayathulla was informed that he must produce a Fitness  Certifi-
        cate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with  it 
        again. 

        Jockey  G.Y.  Rajesh  Babu,  the rider  of  STILLATO,  was  fined 
        Rs.3,000/- for excessive use of whip (2nd infringement).
        
        4th Race:     51. The Parfait Amour Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 
         9 Runners    Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, who have run at
                      least  twice under BTC Rules after 30th April  2008
                      and not won a race at any centre after that date. 
        
        Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan to  substitute 
        Jockey  Md. Shafiq to ride VOODOO MOON in place of Jockey  J.Pra-
        deep, the declared rider. 
        
        BLACK  SPLENDOUR (S.Shiva Kumar) sustained a bleeding  injury  on 
        right fore. 
        
        ROYAL  HERO (Vivek) ran detached from the field. The  Stipendiary 
        Stewards instructed Trainer Mr.S.Inayathulla to get it checked by 
        the Club's Veterinary Officer. On examination after the last race 
        at  5.45 PM  it was found that ROYAL HERO had sustained  a  small 
        cut  injury on his right fore fetlock. The mouth  revealed  sharp 
        molars on lower jaws on both the sides. Trainer Mr. S. Inayathul-
        la  was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian  and  take 
        appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again. 
        
        5th Race:     52. The Poottannah Memorial Plate-Div.I-(About)1200
        12 Runners    Metres.Horses rated 40 to 65, 4, 5 and 6 years old.
        
        OUR  LANCER (P.S.Chouhan) jumped awkwardly  outwards  momentarily 
        unbalancing the rider. 
        
        Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of PANCHAKSHARI jumped outwards 
        and  brushed the gates thereby he was momentarily  unbalanced  at 
        the start.
        
        RIVER ISLAND (David Allan) jumped awkwardly outwards.   
         
        6th Race:     53. The Royal Calcutta Turf Club Cup-(About)1800
         9 Runners    Metres. A High-Weight Handicap for horses rated 80
                      and above (Top weight will not exceed 65 Kgs.)
        
        SOUTHERN CHARGE (David Allan) was observed to have lost its  left 
        hind  shoe  during the race and also sustained injuries  on  both 
        hind. 
        
        Approaching the 1600 Metres WESTERN COMMAND (C.D.Hayes) inconven-
        ienced SOUTHERN EMPIRE (Y.S.Srinath) on his inside causing him to 
        brush the false rails.  

        Trainer  Mr.S. Padmanabhan and Jockey C.D. Hayes were  questioned 
        regarding the running and riding of WESTERN COMMAND. The  Trainer 
        stated   that  he  had  instructed  his  rider  to  keep  it   in 
        fourth/fifth position along the rails covered on the outside till 
        the  straight and to do his best thereafter. The Jockey  corrobo-
        rated the statement of the Trainer and further added that he  had 
        considerable  difficulties in riding the horse as the  horse  was 
        trying  to  hang `out' throughout the race inspite  of  his  best 
        efforts.
        
        Jockey  Vivek,  the rider of  RIO BRAVO was fined  Rs.1000/-  for 
        excessive use of the whip (1st infringement).
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g SOUTH-
        ERN CHARGE. 
        
        7th Race:     54. The Bugs Bunny Trophy - (About) 1400 Metres.
        10 Runners    Horses rated 20 to 45. 
        
        Jockey  R. Ravi, the rider of REDFORD, was fined  Rs.1,000/-  for 
        shifting `out' and causing interference to MIND ME (S.A.De Sousa) 
        on his outside approaching the 1000 Metres. 
        
        It  was observed that the saddle of KANDIATE had shifted  forward 
        approaching  600 Metres during the race as such the  rider  could 
        not   offer  sufficient assistance to his mount  thereafter.  The 
        equipment was examined after the race and was found to be  other-
        wise  well maintained. However, Trainer Mr. S. Britto  was  fined 
        Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling of his charge KANDIATE.
        
        Trainer  Mr.Darius  Byramji  was questioned  regarding  the  poor 
        performance  of  his charge MIND ME (S.A.De Sousa).  The  Trainer 
        stated that (a) his charge was running after a long gap; and  (b) 
        his charge was running first time after being gelded. His  expla-
        nation were noted for future reference. He also assured (a)  that 
        he will take all necessary steps to ensure better performance  of 
        his charge in future; and (b) that he would run his charge  with-
        out blinkers in the next start.
        
        Trainer  Mr. S.Britto was questioned regarding the  poor  perfor-
        mance  of  his  charge LIFES LAUGHTER (Shobhan  Babu)  which  ran 
        detached  from the field. The Trainer stated that the  horse  was 
        running after a long gap. His explanations were noted for  future 
        reference. He was further informed that he must take all possible 
        steps to ensure better performance of his charge in future.    
        
        Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b g MIND ME.

      
        8th Race:     55. The Poottannah Memorial Plate-Div.II - (About)
        12 Runners    1200 Metres Horses rated 40 to 65, 4, 5 and 6 years
                      old.
        
        Jockey  Vivek, the rider of ENFORCER, reported that he  lost  his 
        whip at the start. 
        
        Jockey  Ashok Kumar, the rider of SMART IN SPECIAL reported  that 
        he lost his whip approaching the 300 Metres.
         
        An  enquiry has been opened into the interference involving  DOCK 
        OF  BAY (M.Narredu), SMART N SPECIAL (A.Ashok Kumar)  SATIN  WOOD 
        (G.Y.Rajesh  Babu) & AN EQUAL MUSIC (Samuel Fargeat)  approaching 
        the 900 Metres.
         
        Routine  Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b  c  NEE-
        DOFTHEHOUR.
