1st Race: 56.The Haveri Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden
7 Runners Indian Horses 2 years old only (Terms).
As Jockey J. Pradeep was certified medically unfit to ride,
permission was granted to trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan to substitute
Jockey Md. Shafiq in place of the declared rider.
CHESTERFORD TOUCH (Vivek) dropped the rider and bolted on the
inner sand track on the way to the starting gates. In view of its
behaviour it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under
Starter's orders.
JAMAICAN BOLT (A.Ashok Kumar) drifted out under pressure in the
final stages of the race. It was impounded for veterinary exami-
nation and the Club's Veterinary officer on examination reported
that it had sharp molars on the lower jaw on the left side.
Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed to get it checked by his
Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before
accepting with it again.
2nd Race: 57. The Planetarium Plate-(About) 1600 Metres.
8 Runners Horses rated 00 to 25.

3rd Race: 58. The A.R.Keshava Mudaliar Memorial Plate -
8 Runners (About) 1800 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65.
Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was fined Rs.500/- for making an error
in the starting declaration in respect of his charge SUNNY CO-
LOURS (Neeraj Rawal) as regards shoeing.
Jockey D. Patel, the rider of PHOENIX REACH, was fined Rs.1,000/-
for slackening between the 250 and 200 Metres.
LEOPARDINO (S.Selvaraj) stumbled approaching the 1600 Metres in
the process inconvenienced STORMY RIVER on its outside.
LEOPARDINO (S.Selvaraj) was observed to have splayed its right
fore shoe during the race.
ALL MY COLOURS (Y.S.Srinath) sustained an injury on left hind
fetlock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f ALL MY
COLOURS.
4th Race: 59. The Belgaum Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.
8 Runners Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 and 6 years old.
Jockey S.A.De Souza, the rider of ZAFAR was fined Rs.1,000/- for
the excessive use of whip on his mount during the race (1st
infringement).
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ASIATI-
CUS.
5th Race: 60. The Davangere Plate - (About) 1600 Metres.
10 Runners Horses rated 20 to 45, 4, 5 and 6 years old.
Jockey Shobhan Babu, the rider of BUCK PASSER JUNIOR reported
that he could not get a clear run soon after the start due to the
crowding of the field.
6th Race: 61. The Bangalore Turf Club Trophy - (About)
7 Runners 1200 Metres. Indian Horses 3-year-old and over
(Terms).
Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was fined Rs.500/- for making an error
in declaration of weight in respect of his charge RHAPSIDION
SNOW.
Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in
declaration of weight in respect of his charge WOMAN ON TOP.
MERCURIAL (Saleem Golam) jumped out awkwardly from the starting
gates.
Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of DIAMOND HUNTER was fined
Rs.2,000/- for exulting before passing the winning post.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch h DIA-
MOND HUNTER.
7th Race: 62. The Hoysala Trophy - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses
11 Runners rated 60 and above.
Jockey Saleem Golam the rider of SUCCEEDING STAR was fined
Rs.2,000/- for not exercising sufficient control over his mount
wherein he allowed the horse to drift out under the use of whip.
Jockey K.P.G.Appu, the rider of LOCAL WARRIOR was reprimanded for
dropping his hands before passing the winning post.
8th Race: 63. The Sirsi Plate - (About) 1100 Metres. Horses
10 Runners rated 20 to 45.
ZAIOS (B.SREEKANTH) sustained an injury on his left hock.
Jockey M.D.Praveen, the rider of DASH TO CASH was fined
Rs.5,000/- for feeble handling of his mount in the straight.
Further he was advised to make every effort to improve his riding
capability.

MOCK RACE
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Vivek, the
rider of NEAR N DEAR to the Stewards for misconduct (Rule No.101)
in that he was continuously hitting his mount over the head with
his whip when placed in the barrier prior to the start of the
Mock Race. The Stewards held an enquiry on 10-12-2008 and inter-
viewed Jockey Vivek and Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla. After delib-
erations, they decided to (a) suspend Jockey Vivek from riding in
races from 20-12-2008 to 19-1-2009 (both days inclusive); and (b)
deprive him from using the whip during the races and track work
from 20-12-2008 to 19-2-2009 (both days inclusive) for contraven-
tion of Rule No.101 in the above race.
