        (False Rails: Average width of 5 Metres from 1600 Metres to  1000 
        Metres and 7.5 Metres from 1000 Metres to the winning post.)
        
        1st Race:       151. The Savadatti Plate - Div.II - (About) 1100 Metres 
        Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (12 Runners).
        
        FLOWER ALLEY (S. Shiva Kumar) jumped out awkwardly  and inconven-
        ienced  ADMIRANDA  (Gaurav Sapra) on the outside soon  after  the 
        start. 
        
        SMART COOKY (A. Ashok Kumar) veered out badly approaching the 800 
        Metres  and  hung  `out' badly in the straight. In  view  of  its 
        behaviour  trainer  Mr. Samar Singh was informed (a)  to  get  it 
        checked  by  his  Veterinarian and  take  appropriate  corrective 
        measures; and (b) that he must not accept with it again until its 
        behaviour  improved to the satisfaction of the  Stipendiary  Ste-
        wards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
        
        Jockey  Saleem Golam, the rider of REGAL GLORY,  was  reprimanded 
        for  repeatedly looking back in the final stages of the race  for 
        no apparent reason. 
        
        2nd Race:       152. The Doddaballapur Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.
        Horses rated 00 to 25 (12 Runners).
        
        Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of SUN DEVICE, reported that  his 
        mount was little tardy at the start and reported that his  saddle 
        shifted back slightly in the early stages of the race.
        
        Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of NON STOP CANNON, was severely 
        reprimanded  for taking out VOICE OF INDIA (Afsar Khan) which  in 
        turn  bumped ORANGE ORCHARD (S. Shiva Kumar) approaching the  400 
        Metres. 
        
        An enquiry has been opened into the negligence of Jockey S.  Sel-
        varaj,  the  rider of MONEY MANTRA in that the Jockey  failed  to 
        wear the Goggles during the race.
        
        NIGHT  LIGHT  (K. Raja Rao) burst its blood  vessels  during  the 
        race.   Trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was informed that  he  must 
        produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary  Officer 
        before accepting with it again. 
        
        3rd Race:  153. The Savadatti Plate - Div.I - (About) 1100 Metres 
        Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (12 Runners).
        
        TIME  FLIES (C.D. Hayes) shifted `in' and  inconvenienced  RUGGED 
        BEAUTY (Samuel Fargeat) and SPARK OF BRONTE (Imran Chisty) on his 
        inside  approaching the 350 Metres. On questioning,  Jockey  C.D. 
        Hayes  replied  that  his mount was hanging  `in'  badly  in  the 
        straight.  Subsequently TIME FLIES was impounded  for  veterinary 
        examination.  The Club's Veterinary Officer after examination  at 
        4.50 p.m. reported that  it was found to be trotting lame on left 
        fore,  had sharp molars on both sides (lower jaw) and wolf  tooth 
        on left side. Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that  he 
        must  produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's  Veterinarian 
        and  also take appropriate corrective measures  before  accepting 
        with it again.  
        
        The  Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Md. Shafiq to the  Ste-
        wards  for unsatisfactory riding on his mount  ROYAL  PREMIER  in 
        that  he  did  not  induce adequate  vigour  after  entering  the 
        straight.  The Stewards held an enquiry after the last  race  and 
        interviewed Trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar, Mr. S. Marshall  (Spokesman 
        for  Jockey  Md. Shafiq) and Jockey Md.  Shafiq  himself.   After 
        deliberations, they decided to (a) note the explanations tendered 
        by  trainer  Mr. R.V. Manohar and (b) suspend Jockey  Md.  Shafiq 
        from  riding  in  races from 23-2-2009 to  27-3-2009  (both  days 
        inclusive)  for  unsatisfactory riding (Rule  No.161(ii)  on  his 
        mount ROYAL PREMIER in the above race (permitted to ride work).
        
        4th  Race:   154. The A.V.R. Char Memorial Plate -  (About)  1200 
        Metres. Horses rated 40 to  65,  6  & 7 years old (8 Runners).  
        
        Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of REBELLIOUS, reported that  his 
        mount was lugging `in' in the straight. 
        
        Jockey  J.H. Christopher, the rider of INDIA SHINING,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of whip on his mount during  the 
        race (1st infringement).
        
        EASY (Gaurav Sapra) was observed to have lost its left fore shoe. 
        
        5th Race:       155. The Nilgiris Trophy - (About) 1800 Metres. 
        Horses rated 60 to 85 (12 Runners).
        
        Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of SHOOT A RAINBOW was reprimanded 
        for  inconveniencing  ALL MY COLOURS (B. Prakash) on  his  inside 
        soon after the start. 
        
        Jockey  Mohammed  Shoaib,  the rider of SUPER  SPEED,  was  fined 
        Rs.2,000/-  for taking over the running and  immediately  slowing  
        down the pace. This caused CHILLY WIND (A. Ashok Kumar) to be re-
        strained and SAPTASHWA (D. Gnaneshwar) to veer outwards  quickly, 
        resulting in ALCHESAYE (S.A.De Sousa) checking his mount  thereby 
        taking  out  ALL MY COLOURS (B. Prakash) whereby  HILL  OF  GRACE 
        (David Allan) had to check his mount to avoid clipping the  heels 
        of ALL MY COLOURS and lost considerable ground.
        
        Approaching the 900 Metres Jockey Harish, the rider of MY  FRIEND  
        PAUL shifted out thereby taking ALCHESAYE (S.A. De Sousa) to  the 
        wide  outside.  On questioning the rider stated that  his  saddle 
        shifted  forward, hence he took his mount  outwards  apprehending 
        danger if he remained in the bunch. His explanations were noted.  
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g  SPARK 
        OF GOLD. 
        
        6th Race:   156. The H.Devereux Memorial Plate-Div.I-(About) 1400
        Metres. Horses rated 40 to  65,  5, 6  & 7 years old (10 Runners)  
        
        DOCK  OF BAY (Gaurav Sapra) planted and lost many lengths at  the 
        start.   In  view  of its behaviour trainer Mr.  Amit  Caddy  was 
        informed  that  he must not accept with it again  until  its  be-
        haviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary  Stewards 
        in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
        SANGINI (Vivek) jumped out, whipped around and lost many  lengths 
        at the start.  In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. S. Inayathul-
        la  was informed that he must not accept with it again until  its 
        behaviour  improved to the satisfaction of the  Stipendiary  Ste-
        wards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.   
        
        MYSTIC  STAR  (Suraj Narredu) burst its blood vessels  after  the 
        race .  Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed that he must produce 
        a  Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer  before 
        accepting with it again. 
        
        An  enquiry  has  been opened into the negligence  of  Jockey  S. 
        Selvaraj,  the rider of BASTIAN BAY in that the Jockey failed  to 
        wear the Goggles during the race.
        
        An  enquiry  has been opened into the negligence  of  Jockey  Zia 
        Akhtar,  the  rider of JEDI KNIGHT in that the Jockey  failed  to 
        wear the Goggles during the race.
        
        Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b g BASTIAN BAY. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m ON  THE 
        DOT.
        
        7th Race:       157. The Gumbaz Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. 
        Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners).
        
        As  MISS  HONEYDEW (Samuel Fargeat) splayed its  left  fore  shoe 
        while  parading  in the paddock, Trainer Mr.  Neil  Darashah  was 
        permitted to get it re-shod.
        
        ACT  OF DUTY (Zia Aktar) was withdrawn before coming under  Star-
        ter's Orders as the Jockey got injured at the gates while  stall-
        ing. 
        
        Jockey Samuel Fargeat, the rider of MISS HONEYDEW (drawn 8),  re-
        ported  that  he  was slow into the stride and  was  squeezed  by 
        DIFFERENT OPINION (S. Mubarak - drawn 9) and MONARCHIAL (Harish - 
        drawn 7) soon after the start. 
        
        Approaching  the  800 Metres UNIQUE STAR (Md. Shafiq)  which  was 
        galloping  fiercely struck itself on its fore legs  and  stumbled 
        thereby momentarily unbalancing the rider.   

        8th Race:   158.The H.Devereux Memorial Plate-Div.II-(About) 1400
        Metres. Horses rated 40 to  65,  5, 6  & 7 years old (10 Runners)  
        
        Trainer  Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.500/- for  not  obtaining 
        prior permission to take his charge MAC to the starting gates  in 
        advance of the remainder of the field, as per  General  Condition 
        20 of the Prospectus of BWM 2008-09.
        
        CHAKRAVYUHA BHEDAK (Suraj Narredu)  was inconvenienced by  CRACK-
        ERJACK (Saleem Golam) approaching the 1100 Metres. 
        
        GOOD  CAMPANION  (Shobhan Babu) shifted `in'  and  inconvenienced 
        CRACKERJACK  (Saleem Golam) soon after the start. 
        
        Jockey J.H. Christopher, the rider of JERSEY POWER, lost his whip 
        approaching the 400 Metres. 
        
        MAJOR  ASSET  (D.  Gnaneshwar) took out  SHOWHORSE  (Afsar  Khan) 
        passing the 900 Metres resulting in the latter to swing  outwards 
        thereby losing considerable ground. 
        
        Jockey  Shobhan Babu, the rider of GOOD CAMPANION, reported  that 
        his  mount was hanging `in' throughout the race. This  being  the 
        second  time  during the season, trainer Mr. S.  Inayathulla  was 
        cautioned  that  he  must take  appropriate  corrective  measures 
        before  accepting  with it again and repetition  of  similar  be-
        haviour of the horse would be viewed seriously.  
        
        Routine  Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m  CIBO-
        NEY.
