        Going : Good                       Penetrometer Reading: 3.6 Cms.
        
        (False  Rails: Average width of 3 Metres from 1600 Metres to  the 
        winning post.)
        
        1st Race:       175. The Infants Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres 
           Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (10 Runners).
        
        Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.3,000/- for coming late to 
        the  paddock resulting in his charge BOCCONCINO leaving the  pad-
        dock very late causing delay in the start of the race.
        
        Jockey  Harish, the rider of SNOW PEAKS, reported that his  mount 
        was trying to run out throughout the race. Trainer Mr. S. Dominic 
        was  informed  to  get it checked by his  Veterinarian  and  take 
        appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
        
        LUSH LASHES (S. John) sustained an injury on right hind pastern. 
        
        SNOW  PEAKS  (Harish) sustained a bleeding injury on  right  hind 
        cannon.
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f  SENORA 
        ENCIMA.
        
        2nd Race:   176. The Manipal Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses
               rated 00 to  25,  5, 6 & 7 years old (12 Runners).  
        
        ANGEL FIED (S. Shiva Kumar) planted and took no practical part in 
        the  race. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan  was 
        informed  that  he must not accept with it again  until  its  be-
        haviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary  Stewards 
        in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
        GRACIAN  (M.  Madhu  Babu) was observed to have  lost  his  right 
        stirrup  iron  approaching the 700 Metres.  After  the  race  the 
        equipment  was checked and was found to be otherwise  well  main-
        tained and as such no action was taken. 
        
        Jockey  Md.Shafiq,  the  rider  of  SAVANNAH  PRIDE,  was   fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for shifting `out' and causing interference to  MAAHI 
        VE (A. Ashok Kumar) on his outside approaching the 550 Metres. 
        
        GRACIAN (M. Madhu Babu) who was ridden without the aid of stirrup 
        shifted  `in' and inconvenienced RETRO QUEEN (D.  Gnaneshwar)  on 
        his inside approaching the 350 Metres. 
        
        ROYAL FILLY (A. Velu) sustained a cut injury on right fore  past-
        ern.   
        
        MISTER TROOPER (S. Chandrashekar) sustained injuries on left fore 
        cannon and right fore fetlock. 
        
        3rd Race:       177. The Infants Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres 
           Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (10 Runners).
        
        STAR  ASSEMBLY (B. Prakash - drawn 2) jumped  awkwardly  outwards 
        thereby inconveniencing SONG OF PASSION (K. Raja Rao - drawn 3). 
        
        Jockey  Shobhan Babu, the rider of PLEASURE BITE,  reported  that 
        his mount ran green throughout the race. 
        
        4th Race:       178. The Sivaganga Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses
                          rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners).
        
        Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.500/- for making an  error 
        in the scratching form in respect of his charge LEOPARDINO. 
        
        Trainer Mr. M.B. Mangalorkar was fined Rs.500/- for not obtaining 
        prior permission to take his charge CHELSY  DANCER to the  start-
        ing  gates  in  advance of the remainder of  the  field,  as  per  
        General Condition 20 of the Prospectus of BWM 2008-09.
        
        Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was fined Rs.2,000/- for not  obtaining 
        the consent of the Jockey for riding his charge TERN ME ON.
        
        Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi was fined Rs.2,000/- for changing the 
        Jockey after obtaining Saleem Golam's consent to ride his  charge 
        CLOUSEAU.
        
        ATLANTUS (K. Raja Rao) stumbled soon after the start. 
        
        Jockey  K. Raja Rao, the rider of ATLANTUS, was  reprimanded  for 
        travelling  wide  throughout the race.
        
        Jockey  S.  Chandrashekar, the rider of ATTATURK, pulled  up  his 
        mount approaching the 900 Metres since he felt the horse was  not 
        striding  out normally and was galloping in snatches.  The  horse 
        was impounded for veterinary examination and kept under  observa-
        tion.  After  the  last race it was  examined  (endoscopy)  which 
        revealed presence of Mucopus in the upper part of the trachea. 
        The gelding was kept in the Equine Hospital for further  observa-
        tion  and  on 22-2-2009 it was examined and found  to  be  having 
        soreness  in  both hind quarters. Trainer  Sharat Kumar  was  in-
        formed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's 
        Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.  
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner  b g   LOCK  
        AND LOAD.
        
        5th Race:   179. The Governor's Trophy - (About) 1600 Metres.
        For 3-year-old Indian Horses (Foaled in 2006)(Terms)(7 Runners).
        
        Trainer  Mr.  Amit  Caddy was fined Rs.500/-  for  not  declaring 
        weight in respect of his charge SOUTHERN GLADIATOR.
        
        RED  RENEGADE  (David Allan) was extremely fractious  inside  the 
        stall  and was withdrawn before coming under Starter's order.
        
        SOUTHERN GLADIATOR (Gaurav Sapra) was inconvenienced by CAPTIVAT-
        ING (C.D. Hayes) soon after the start.
        
        Jockey C.D. Hayes, the rider of CAPTIVATING, was reprimanded  for 
        repeatedly looking back during the final stages of the race.
        
        6th Race:   180. The S. Rangarajan Memorial Trophy -(About) 1200
                 Metres. Horses rated 80 and above. (9 Runners)  
        
        Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.500/- for failing to  pro-
        duce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his  charge 
        SLAVIC.  Subsequently `all black' emergency colours was permitted 
        to be used.
        
        SLAVIC (M.D. Praveen) pulled up lame on left fore after the race. 
        Trainer  Mr.  Irfan Ghatala was informed that he must  produce  a 
        Fitness  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary  Officer  before 
        accepting with it again.
        
        7th Race:       181. The Bhagamandala Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.
                       Horses rated 40 to 65 (9 Runners).
        
        Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in 
        the starting declaration in respect of his charge FLAIR QUEEN.
        
        Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi   (deputis-
        ing for Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar) who was unable to  fulfill 
        his engagement in the race as he had to leave to take a flight to 
        Kolkatta. 
        
        Jockey Afsar Khan, the rider of HIDALGO, was fined Rs.1,000/- for 
        shifting  `out'  and bumping TOUCH OF MAGIC (Md. Shafiq)  on  his 
        outside soon after the start.
        
        Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider ROYAL AMBER, was fined Rs.1,000/- 
        for  shifting `out' and bumping SUNNY'S SYMPHONY (D.  Gnaneshwar) 
        on his outside. HIDALGO (Afsar Khan) who was travelling  directly 
        behind ROYAL AMBER also had to be restrained at this stage. 
        
        Jockey S. John, the rider of CONCEPTUAL, was fined Rs.1,000/- for 
        shifting `in' and causing interference to EDMONDO (S.A.De  Sousa) 
        on his inside approaching the 300 Metres.
        
        The  Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey S. John, the  rider  of 
        CONCEPTUAL to the Stewards for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) in 
        that  he shifted `in' sharply after jumping `out' causing  severe 
        interference to ROYAL AMBER (Suraj  Narredu) and FLAIR QUEEN  (S. 
        Shiva  Kumar) on his inside before passing the red  marker  post. 
        The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and  interviewed 
        Jockey  S.  John.  After deliberations they  decided  to  suspend 
        Jockey  S. John from riding in races from 3-3-2009  to  14-3-2009 
        (both days inclusive) for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) on  his 
        mount CONCEPTUAL in the above race (permitted to ride work).
        
        EDMONDO (S.A.De Sousa) sustained an injury on right hind fetlock.
        
        FLAIR QUEEN (S. Shiva Kumar) sustained injuries on right hock and 
        left hind cannon.

        Routine  Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f  CON-
        CEPTUAL.
        
        8th Race:       182. The Alchemy Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses
                          rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).
        
        VAYUPUTRA (Saleem Golam - drawn 10) jumped awkwardly outwards and 
        inconvenienced MUSIC FOREVER (Harish - drawn 11).
        
        RAIN  MAN (S. Chandrashekar - drawn 3) jumped  awkwardly  inwards 
        and  inconvenienced ACT OF BEAUTY (Shobhan Babu - drawn 2)  which 
        in turn passed it on to BRAVE AND BOLD  (M.D. Praveen - drawn  1) 
        on his inside soon after the start.
        
        SCRAMJET (S.A. De Sousa) sustained a cut injury on right hock.
        
        ACT OF DUTY (Shobhan Babu) sustained gum injury.
        
        Jockey Madhu Babu, the rider of NEARCO MASTER, who was travelling 
        very  close to the rails restrained his mount  thereby  inconven-
        iencing  FAST  MACHINE  (Khursheed Alam) who had  to  be  checked 
        resulting in S. Shiva Kumar, the rider of SHEER GOLD checking his 
        mount approaching the 800 Metres.
