        Going : Good                       Penetrometer Reading: 3.4 Cms.
        
        (False Rails: Average width of 3.5 Metres from 1600 Metres to 900 
        Metres and 1.5 Metres from 900 Metres to the winning post.)
        
        1st Race:       234. The Charumudi Plate - (About) 1600 Metres.
                     For horses rated 00 to 25. (9 Runners)
        
        Trainer  Mr. Warren Singh was fined Rs.500/- for making an  error 
        in  the  starting declaration in respect of his charge  PRETTY  N 
        FAST as regards shoeing.
        
        LADY  OF LIGHT (Afsar Khan) accidentally brushed the false  rails  
        approaching the 550 Metres.
        
        FANTABULOUS HERO (F.K. Shabuddin) shied away when its rider tried 
        to  make use of the whip in the last 200 Metres and  drifted  out 
        alarmingly.
        
        Jockey  Afsar Khan, the rider of LADY OF LIGHT, reported that  he 
        lost his whip in the last 20 Metres. 
        
        NON STOP CANNON (S. Chandrashekar) was observed to have lost left 
        fore shoe.
        
        2nd Race:   235. The Mercara Plate-Div.II-(About) 1100 Metres.
         Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (12 Runners)
        
        Jockey  Harish, the rider of TRILLION WIN  was  fined  Rs.3,000/- 
        for  shifting `in' and causing severe interference to  ISINBAYEVA 
        (Vinod  Shinde)  resulting  in the latter  stumbling  and  losing 
        ground soon after the start.
        
        Jockey  D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of BLACK BEAUTY,  reported  that 
        his  mount  was galloping fiercely throughout the  race  and  ap-
        proaching the 700 Metres it clipped the heels of SARATOGA  (Shob-
        han  Babu)  and  had to be checked. On  examination,  the  Club's 
        Veterinary  Officer  reported that it was found  to  have  buccal 
        injuries on right side, sharp molars on lower jaws (either side), 
        caps  on upper and lower jaws (507, 607, 707 & 807). Trainer  Mr. 
        Samar  Singh was informed to get it checked by  his  Veterinarian 
        and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it 
        again. 
        
        
        Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of APPOLONAIRE, reported that  his 
        mount  tried to run out approaching the 900 Metres and ran  green 
        in the straight.
        
        RAI'S  STYLE (Gaurav Sapra) accidentally brushed the false  rails 
        approaching the 550 Metres. 
        
        Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of GAME DANCER, reported that his 
        mount was very shy and ran green throughout the race.
        
        3rd Race:       236. The Narmada Trophy - (About) 1600 Metres.
                     For horses rated 40 to 65 (8 Runners).
        
        Jockey  S. John, the rider of ONE, was reprimanded for not  exer-
        cising sufficient control over his mount and allowing it to drift 
        out passing the 400 Metres. 
        
        Jockey  S.A.  De  Sousa, the rider of  RAPTOR  FORCE,  was  fined 
        Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of whip on his mount during  the 
        race (2nd infringement).
        
        KAJURAHO  (Vinod Shinde) sustained an injury on right hind  past-
        ern. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g  RAPTOR 
        FORCE.
        
        4th Race:   237. The Mercara Plate-Div.I-(About) 1100 Metres.
         Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (11 Runners)
        
        Jockey A. Ashok Kumar was fined Rs.2,000/- for having accepted to 
        ride both SUREFIRE  and REAL MAGIC in the above race. Subsequent-
        ly,  permission was granted to trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal  to  de-
        clare Jockey Harish on his charge REGAL MAGIC. 
        
        CHAITANYA  JYOTHI  (B.L. Paswan) reared up and sat  down  in  the 
        gates  leaning on the back gate and sliding underneath the  gates 
        for  a  considerable period of time and sustained trauma  on  the 
        back.   Under the circumstances it was permitted to be  withdrawn 
        before coming under Starter's orders.
        
        SPARK OF HANOVER (Imran Chisty) jumped awkwardly outwards. 
        
        SPADE  ACE  (A.R.Mani)  walked out of the gates,  was  slow  into 
        stride, did not raise a fluent gallop and took no practical  part 
        in  the  race. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr.  M.B.  Manga-
        lorkar  was informed that he must not accept with it again  until 
        its  behaviour  improved to the satisfaction of  the  Stipendiary 
        Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. 
        
        Jockey  Harish, the rider of REAL MAGIC, reported that his  mount 
        was  hanging `in' very badly in the straight.  Trainer  Mr.  J.S. 
        Dhariwal  was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian  and 
        take  appropriate  corrective measures before accepting  with  it 
        again.
        
        SPARK  OF  HANOVER (Imran Chisty) sustained an  injury  on  right 
        hock. 
        
        SUREFIRE  (A. Ashok Kumar) pulled up lame on left  fore.  Trainer 
        Mr.  S.S. Attaollahi was informed that he must produce a  Fitness 
        Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary Officer before  accepting 
        with it again.  
        
        5th Race:       238. The Stewards Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres.
                   For horses rated 80 and above (12 Runners)
        
        Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of ARISTOS, was fined  Rs.2,000/- 
        for  shifting  `in' and causing interference to NOBLE  GUEST  (C. 
        Krishnan)  which  in turn passed it on to DINESA  (Vinod  Shinde) 
        soon after the start.
        
        Jockey  S.  Shiva  Kumar, the rider of JERSEY  PRIDE,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for  rolling over and taking MERCURIAL  (Harish)  out 
        soon after the start. 
        
        Jockey  R.  Koch, the rider of STYLISH BAY, was  reprimanded  for 
        inconveniencing  CART WHEEL (Imran Chisty) approaching  the  1000 
        Metres. 
        
        Jockey  Suraj  Narredu, the rider of ARISTOS, reported  that  his 
        mount was trying to run out from the 1000 Metres.
        
        Jockey  S.  Shiva  Kumar, the rider of JERSEY  PRIDE,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for taking out LOGANS RUN (B.L. Paswan)   approaching 
        the 700 Metres. 
        
        Jockey  S.  Shiva  Kumar, the rider of JERSEY  PRIDE,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for not exercising sufficient control over his  mount 
        and allowing it to drift `out' in the straight. 
        
        Jockey  Imran Chisty, the rider of CART WHEEL, reported that  his 
        mount was trying to run out in the straight.
        
        LOGAN'S  RUN  (B.L. Paswan) drifted `out'  and  galloped  on  the 
        outer strip of the grass track in the straight .
        
        Jockey  C. Krishnan, the rider of NOBLE GUEST, dropped his  hands 
        200  Metres from the winning post. On examination by  the  Club's 
        Veterinary Officer, the horse was found to have pulled up lame on 
        right  fore.  Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed that  he  must 
        produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary  Officer 
        before accepting with it again. 
        
        6th Race:       239. The Garden City Trophy-Div-I-(About) 1400 Metres.
           For horses rated 60 to 85, 5,6 & 7 years old (12 Runners).
   
        Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.500/- for making an  error 
        in the starting declaration in respect of his charge VAN DE  STAR 
        as regards shoeing.
        
        AFEA  (S. A.De Sousa) jumped awkwardly outwards and LUSH  FOLIAGE 
        (D.  Gnaneshwar)  jumped awkwardly inwards resulting  in  bumping 
        each other.
        
        LUSH FOLIAGE (D. Gnaneshwar) sustained an injury on left point of 
        hip.
        
        CANNAVARO (S. Shiva Kumar) could not get a clear run in the  last 
        100 Metres due to the crowding of the field.
        
        7th Race:       240. The Banavasi Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
           For horses rated 40 to 65, 5, 6 & 7 years old (12 Runners).
        
        Jockey Shanth Kumar, the rider of RAIDER'S SUN, reported that  he 
        could  not get a clear run approaching the 600 Metres due to  the 
        crowding of the field. 
        
        SOUTHERNER (M.J. Gautam Raj Urs) ran detached from the field. The 
        horse  was impounded for veterinary examination.  On  examination 
        by the Club's Veterinary Officer at 5.55 p.m. it was found to  be 
        trotting stiff on both fore and on further examination by flexion 
        it was found to have sprained right fore fetlock. 
        
        Jockey  S.  Shiva  Kumar, the rider of  PANCHAKSHARI,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/- for shifting `out' and causing interference to SMART N 
        SPECIAL (M. Madhu Babu) soon after the start.  
        
        Jockey  Vivek,  the rider of ENFORCER, was fined  Rs.1,000/-  for 
        shifting `in' and causing interference to ZAIOS (V.R.  Jagadeesh) 
        approaching the 350 Metres. 
        
        SHOWHORSE (Afsar Khan) slightly shifted `out' and  inconvenienced 
        ZAIOS  (V.R.  Jagadeesh) which in turn passed it on  to  ENFORCER 
        (Vivek) soon after the start. 
        
        RAIDER'S  SUN  (Shanth Kumar) sustained an injury on  right  hind 
        cannon.
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m AWESOME 
        BEAUTY. 
        
        8th Race:       241. The Garden City Trophy-Div-II-(About) 1400 Metres.
           For horses rated 60 to 85, 5,6 & 7 years old (12 Runners).
        
        Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.500/- for making an  error 
        in the starting declaration in respect of his charge MILAGRO.
        
        Trainer Mr. S. Dominic was fined Rs.500/- for making an error  in 
        the  starting declaration in respect of his charge STRONG  MINDED 
        as regards shoeing.
        
        Jockey  Suraj Narredu, the rider of BLINK, was  fined  Rs.1,000/- 
        for  shifting `in' and bumping MILAGRO (Y.S. Srinath) soon  after 
        the start.
        
        Jockey  D.  Mahendran,  the rider of  STRONG  MINDED,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for shifting `in' and bumping COLONEL DUFF (S.  John) 
        which  in turn passed it on to ROYAL TREASURE (David Allan)  soon 
        after the start. 
        
        STRONG  MINDED  (D. Mahendran) ran detached from the  field.  The 
        horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination by 
        the  Club's  Veterinary Officer at 6.25 p.m. it was found  to  be 
        trotting  lame on right fore due to sprained  fetlock.    Trainer 
        Mr.  S. Dominic was informed that he must produce a Fitness  Cer-
        tificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with 
        it again. 
        
        9th  Race:   242. The Gulbarga Plate - (About) 1100  Metres.  For 
        horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners)
        
        Jockey  Gaurav Sapra was fined Rs.2,000/- for having accepted  to 
        ride  both SIMPLY DANGEROUS and UNIQUE STAR  in the  above  race. 
        Subsequently  trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji was permitted  to  declare 
        Jockey Vinod Shinde on UNIQUE STAR. 
        
        FLY FOR SURE (Vivek) was found to have buccal injury on the  left 
        side.
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f CHILLI 
        CHOCOLATE.
