For horses rated 20 to 45 (9 Runners). NIL 2nd Race: 244. The Leading Tipster Trophy (About) 1400 Metres. For horses rated 00 to 25 (10 Runners). Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards in contravention of General Condition 5 of the Prospectus of Banga- lore Winter Meeting 2008-09 for accepting his charge LADY OF LIGHT in the above race today and also in Race No.234, The Char- mudi Plate, for horses rated 00 to 25 run over 1600 Metres on the previous day. Subsequently, it was permitted to be declared to start only in one race i.e. in Race No.234 and was not declared to start in the above race, as per the General Condition. Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Samar Singh to withdraw DIAMOND SHOWER (D. Gnaneshwar) on veterinary grounds as it was examined in the morning at 8.05 a.m. and was found to be trotting short on right fore. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of SUN DEVICE, reported that the saddle shifted back approaching the 1200 Metres. Trainer Mr. M. Eshwer was fined Rs.2,000/-for faulty saddling. Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of MEXIKAN WAVE, was reprimanded for shifting `in' and tightening GRACIAN (Mohammed Shoaib) approaching the 800 Metres. Jockey D. Mahendran, the rider of HURRICANE SPIRIT, reported that the saddle shifted towards the left after entering the straight. Trainer Mr. S. Britto was fined Rs.2,000/-for faulty saddling. FOUR SEASONS (A. Ashok Kumar) sustained a bleeding cut injury on right fore cannon. 3rd Race: 245. The Leading Bookmaker Trophy (About) 1800 Metres. For horses rated 20 to 45, 5,6 & 7 years old (9 Runners). Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the starting declaration in respect of his charge MEDIA MAN as regards shoeing. Trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the starting declaration in respect of his charge NEW PASTURES as regards shoeing. BUCK PASSER JUNIOR (Y.S. Srinath) swerved towards right after jumping out, was lethargic thereafter and lost many lengths. In view of its behaviour, trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. ROCAMORA (Jayaprakash) was slowly away and lost about 4 lengths at the start. Trainer Mr. Mohd A Abbas was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in two jump outs on starting gate practice days. Jockey Jayaprakash, the rider of ROCAMORA, was reprimanded for his negligence in using a pair of goggles which were lose and it came off passing the 1600 Metres. ROCAMORA (Jayaprakash) pulled up lame on right fore due to sprained fetlock. Trainer Mr. Mohd. Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the starting declaration in respect of his charge GRIS RAPIDE as regards shoeing. Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of BID FOR GLORY, reported that he could not get a clear run approaching the 300 Metres 5th Race: 247. The Champion Trainer Trophy - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (12 Runners) Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of BRUNETTA placed fourth by the Judge objected against Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of NOBLE SACRIFICE placed third for "at about 850 Metres NOBLE SACRIFICE came across me very sharply whereby my horse dropped two lengths behind and again just approaching final bend he once again came across and hampered me badly whereby I lost a certain second place". The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection. Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of NOBLE SACRIFICE, was fined Rs.3,000/- for improper riding in that he elbowed Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of TALISKER, on his outside approaching the 500 Metres. Jockey Harish, the rider of SPRING A SURPRISE, was fined Rs.5,000/- for shifting out and causing severe interference to BEST TIME (D.M. Grant) approaching the 300 Metres. BRIGADE'S PASSION (S. Chandrashekar) sustained an injury on right hind. BEST TIME (D.M. Grant) observed to have lost left fore shoe. 6th Race: 248. The Leading Stud Trophy - (About) 1600 Metres. For horses rated 80 and above (8 Runners). JET FIRE (Vinod Shinde) was extremely fractious and refused to be stalled. Jockey Harish, the rider of ALACRITY, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting `in' and causing interference to TANZANITE (S. John) and for crossing SPRINT STAR (D.M. Grant) before passing the red marker post. Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of ABOLINE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting `in' and causing interference to ALACRITY (Harish) approaching the 1200 Metres. Jockey David Allan, the rider of D'ARTAGNAN, reported that his mount ran green throughout the race. Jockey S.A. De Sousa, the rider of CRUISING, reported that his mount was hanging `out' throughout the race. Trainer Mr.J.S. Dhariwal was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again. SPICY STAR (D. Gnaneshwar) sustained an injury on right hind fetlock. 9th Race: 251. The Champion Jockey Trophy (About) 1200 Metres. For horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners). BRAVE AND BOLD (V.R. Jagadeesh) dislodged the rider on its way to the starting gate and ran round the course. As the rider was in- jured it was permitted to be withdrawn. Jockey Afsar Khan, the rider of VOICE OF INDIA, placed fourth by the Judge objected against Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of COUNT THIS placed First and also against Jockey Vivek, the rider of PLEASANT PRINCE placed Second for "entering into the straight COUNT THIS who was on the outside and PLEASANT PRINCE on the inside squeezed me badly whereby my horse stumbled, in the pro- cess my horse was about to go down which cost me a certain race". Jagadeesh was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. Samar Singh to substitute Jockey Md. Shafiq to ride AMBER STAR in place of the declared rider. Jockey Harish, the rider of KINGDOMOFDREAMS, reported that his mount was trying to run out in the straight. Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of SOUTHERN GLADIATOR, reported that his mount was hanging `out' throughout the race. Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again. Jockey M. Mark, the rider of COORG HONEY, was severely reprimand- ed for riding an indifferent race. The Sprinter's Championship Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. For Indian horses 4 years old and over.. Trainer Mr.M. Eshwer was questioned with regard to the circum- stances under which his ward DIAMOND HUNTER was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.He stated that (a) It is a big made horse and it is lethargic while walking and has a funny action (b) In his opinion the horse was sound even on the race day (c) the next day after the withdrawal of the horse it was trotted (d) the second day it was cantered (e) the third day it was galloped and (f) on all the days it showed no lameness. He further added that it was issued a fitness certificate by the Club's Veterinary Officer on the 10th March, 2009. Prima facie as there was no finding of any nature his explanation was noted and no further action was deemed necessary. FOURTH EXTRA DAY, FRIDAY, 13TH MARCH, 2009 210. The Narasimharaja Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. For 3-year-old Indian Horses (Foaled in 2006)(Terms). The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of VIVACITY to the Stewards for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) in that he shifted `in' approaching the 300 Metres and bumped STAR OF MARMALADE (B. Prakash) forcing it to shift `in' and bump REGAL GLORY (David Allan) resulting in the latter being checked badly by its rider and colliding with the false rails. The Ste- wards held an enquiry on 28th March 2009 after the last race and interviewed Jockey Suraj Narredu. After deliberations they decided that should a Jockey's licence be granted to him for the season 2008-09, the same shall stand suspended from 16-5-2009 to 17-5-2009 (both days inclusive) for careless riding (Rule No.161(i) on his mount VIVACITY in the above race (permitted to ride work). TWENTYEIGHTH DAY, SATURDAY, 14TH MARCH 2009 214. The Bagalkote Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres. For horses rated 20 to 45, 5,6 & 7 years old. Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was fined Rs.5,000/- for the inconsist- ent pattern of running of his charge WORTH A MILLION in the above race as compared to its previous run in Race No.189 of the Banga- lore Winter Meeting 2008-09 when ridden by Jockey M.J.
