        Going : Good                       Penetrometer Reading: 3.6 Cms.
        
        (False Rails: Average width of 4.5 Metres from 1600 Metres to the 
        winning post.)
        
        1st Race:       191. The March Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres 
           Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (10 Runners).
        
        Permission  was granted to trainer Mr. Tharun Thimmaiah to  with-
        draw COORG HONEY (D. Gnaneshwar) on veterinary grounds as it  was 
        examined  at  00.30 a.m. on 6th March 2009 and was  found  to  be 
        suffering  from  Colic. He was informed that he  must  produce  a 
        Fitness  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary  Officer  before 
        accepting with it again. 
        
        ALLURING  (Saleem Golam- drawn 8) jumped awkwardly  outwards  and 
        inconvenienced FLEET INDIAN (J.H. Christopher-drawn 9). 
        
        GOING FOR GOLD (Suraj Narredu-drawn 11) jumped awkwardly  inwards 
        and  inconvenienced OXFORD VISION (B. Prakash-drawn 10) which  in 
        turn passed it on to FLEET INDIAN (J.H. Christopher-drawn 9).
        
        OXFORD  VISION  (B. Prakash) was examined immediately  after  the 
        race  by the Club's Veterinary Officer and was found to be  trot-
        ting  lame  on left fore. Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy  was  informed 
        that  he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the  Club's  Ve-
        terinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        Jockey  Saleem  Golam,the rider of ALLURING,  reported  that  his 
        mount ran green in the straight. 
        
        Jockey J.H. Christopher, the rider of FLEET INDIAN, reported that 
        his mount ran green in the straight.
        
        MR PRESIDENT (V.R. Jagadeesh) burst its blood vessels during  the 
        race. Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must produce a 
        Fitness  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary  Officer  before 
        accepting with it again. 
           
        Routine  Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f  GOING 
        FOR GOLD.
        
        2nd Race:       192. The March Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres 
           Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (9 Runners).
        
        CAMELOT (S.A. De Sousa) was extremely fractious and refused to be 
        stalled.  Hence  it was withdrawn before coming  under  Starter's 
        Orders.
        
        STAR  ASSEMBLY (B. Prakash-drawn 2) inconvenienced  FLOWER  ALLEY 
        (J.H. Christopher-drawn 1) soon after the start. 






        Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was questioned regarding the continued 
        poor performance of his charge SHADES OF WHITE (Saleem Golam)  as 
        compared to its first run during the meeting in Race No.126.  The 
        trainer  stated  that (a) his ward definitely  underperformed  in 
        both  its  starts in Race Nos.159 and 192;  (b) his ward  was  in 
        season   in the previous outing; (c) he could not  attribute  any 
        specific  reason for its poor performance in this race;  (d)  his 
        ward  is blind in the right eye; (e) he would rest his  ward  for 
        the season; (f) he would get his ward checked by his Veterinarian 
        and take appropriate corrective measures; (g) he would run it  in 
        a  Mock Race to his satisfaction before accepting with it  again; 
        and   (h) then only he would run his ward. His explanations  were 
        noted for future reference. 
        
        An enquiry has been opened into the riding of FLOWER ALLEY ridden 
        by J.H. Christopher.
        
        3rd Race:       193. The Varada Trophy -Div.II- (About) 1200 Metres.
             Horses rated 60 to 85, 5,6 & 7 years old (10 Runners).
        
        Jockey  S.  Shiva  Kumar, the rider of RAIDER'S  SUN,  was  fined 
        Rs.2,000/-  for  shifting `in' and causing interference  to  LUSH 
        FOLIAGE (S.A.De Sousa) approaching the 150 Metres.
        
        Routine  Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b  m  LUSH 
        FOLIAGE. 
        
        The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Khurshad Alam, the rider 
        of  STRONG  MINDED  to the Stewards  for  careless  riding  (Rule 
        No.161(i) in that soon after jumping out of the starting gates he 
        bumped GAME OF LIFE (Harish) and continued to lean on to his left 
        thereby  impeding  its run. The Stewards held an enquiry  on  7th 
        March  2009 after the last race and interviewed  Jockey  Khurshad 
        Alam. After deliberations they decided to suspend Jockey Khurshad 
        Alam from riding in races from 17-3-2009 to 21-3-2009 (both  days 
        inclusive)  for  careless riding (Rule No.161(i))  on  his  mount 
        STRONG MINDED in the above race (permitted to ride work).
        
        The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey S.A.De Sousa , the rider 
        of  LUSH  FOLIAGE  to  the Stewards  for  careless  riding  (Rule 
        No.161(i) in that he shifted out sharply and caused severe inter-
        ference  to SILKEN CLARE (J.H. Christopher) approaching  the  200 
        Metres  causing  the latter to stumble badly and fall  back.  The 
        Stewards  held an enquiry on 7th March 2009 after the  last  race 
        and  interviewed  Jockey S.A.De Sousa. After  deliberations  they 
        decided to suspend Jockey S.A. De Sousa from riding in races from 
        17-3-2009 to 21-3-2009 (both days inclusive) for careless  riding 
        (Rule  No.161(i))  on his mount LUSH FOLIAGE in  the  above  race 
        (permitted to ride work).
        
        4th Race:       194. The Tumkur Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres.
              Horses rated 40 to 65, 5,6 & 7 years old (9 Runners).
        
        Permission  was granted to trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala to  withdraw 
        SHISHAM (S.Shiva Kumar) on veterinary grounds as it was  examined 
        at 8.15 a.m. on 6th March 2009 and was found to be trotting  lame 
        on  both fore due to injury on the Brisket. He was informed  that 
        he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's  Veterinary 






        Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        As Jockey J.H. Christopher was certified medically unfit to  ride 
        permission was granted to trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad  to substitute 
        Jockey  Harish  to ride POWERFULDREAMS in place of  the  declared 
        rider.  
        
        Jockey  Afsar Khan, the rider of SHOWHORSE, was fined  Rs.1,000/-  
        for  shifting  `out' and causing interference to  AWESOME  BEAUTY 
        (G.Y. Rajesh Babu) soon after the start. 
        
        SHOWHORSE  (Afsar Khan) had to be restrained approaching the  900 
        Metres due to the crowding of the filed .  
        
        MANTHARA  (V.R. Jagadeesh) was observed to be hanging `in'  badly 
        in the straight. It was examined by the Club's Veterinary Officer 
        after the race and found to have sharp molars on upper and  lower 
        jaws on either side. Trainer Mr. S. Singh was informed to get  it 
        checked  by  his  Veterinarian and  take  appropriate  corrective 
        measures before accepting with it again. 
        
        SHOWHORSE  (Afsar Khan) sustained a bleeding injury on left  fore 
        cannon.
        
        5th Race:   195. The Bangalore Super Mile Trophy - (About) 1600
        Metres.For Indian Horses 4 years old and over (Terms) (6 Runners)
        
        Trainer  Mr. S. Ganapathy was fined Rs.500/- for making an  error 
        in  the declaration of weight in respect of his charge  FANTASTIC 
        QUEST.
         
        Trainer  Mr. Sharat Kumar was fined Rs.500/- for making an  error 
        in the declaration of weight in respect of his charge LION HEART.
        
        Trainer  Mr. M.P. Mahaesh was fined Rs.500/- for failing to  pro-
        duce the colours at the scales in respect of his charge  SPLENDID 
        SURPRISE.   Subsequently `all black' emergency colours were  per-
        mitted to be used. 
        
        Permission  was  granted to trainer Mr. M. Eshwer  to  substitute 
        Jockey  Suraj Narredu to ride GREEN BAX in place of the  declared 
        rider.  
        
        6th Race:       196. The Varada Trophy - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres.
              Horses rated 60 to 85, 5,6 & 7 years old (9 Runners).
        
        FANTABULOUS  PRINCE (Samuel Fargeat) splayed his right fore  shoe 
        in the paddock before the race and was permitted to be re-shod. 
        
        LUCKYNUMBERSLEVIN  (Gaurav Sapra) was examined at the  gates  and 
        found  to be trotting lame on right fore. Hence it was  withdrawn 
        on  veterinary  grounds  before coming  under  Starter's  Orders.
        
        THE CONTENDER (Saleem Golam) jumped awkwardly outwards and incon-
        venienced ASIATICUS (A. Ashok Kumar).
        
        Jockey   A.Ashok  Kumar,  the  rider  of  ASIATICUS,  was   fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for  travelling wide rounding the final bend  for  no 






        apparent reason. 
        
        Jockey  Saleem  Golam,  the rider of  THE  CONTENDER,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for  shifting `in' and causing interference  to  AFEA 
        (S.A.De Sousa) approaching the 1000 Metres. 
        
        Jockey  B.L.  Paswan,  the rider of MUCHO,  was  reprimanded  for 
        shifting  `in' and inconveniencing THE CONTENDER  (Saleem  Golam) 
        approaching the 1000 Metres. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g  FLAM-
        ING LAMBORGINI. 
        
        7th Race:       197. The Tumkur Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres.
              Horses rated 40 to 65, 5,6 & 7 years old (9 Runners).
        
        ZAFAR (A. Ashok Kumar) was extremely fractious and refused to  be 
        stalled.  Hence  it was withdrawn before coming  under  Starter's 
        orders. 
        
        Jockey  S.A.  De Sousa, the rider of EVER SO  CLEVER,  was  fined 
        Rs.2,000/-  for shifting `in' and causing severe interference  to 
        REFRESH (Samuel Fargeat) approaching the 600 Metres. 
        
        Jockey  S.A.  De Sousa, the rider of EVER SO  CLEVER,  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/- for shifting `out' and causing interference to COLONEL 
        DUFF (David Allan) approaching the 350 Metres. 
        
        SOUTHERNER (B. Sreekanth) sustained a bruise on left point of the 
        hip and a small injury on left knee. 
        
        MARIANELLA  (M.J.  Gautam Raj Urs) sustained an injury  on  right 
        hind fetlock.

        Permission  was granted to trainers M/s. S.S. Attaollahi  and  J. 
        Babu Rao to deputise on behalf of trainers M/s. J.S. Dhariwal and 
        S. Singh respectively who were unable to attend the races.
