        (False Rails: Average width of 4.5 Metres from 1600 Metres to the 
        winning post.)
        
        1st Race:       198. The Chickmagalur Plate - (About) 1400 Metres 
        For horses rated 20 to 45, who have run at least twice under  BTC 
        Rules  after  15th August 2008 and not won a race at  any  centre 
        after that date (8 Runners).
        
        FESTINO  (Saleem Golam) stood flat footed and lost  few  lengths. 
        In  view of its behaviour trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji  was  informed 
        that  he  must not accept with it again until its  behaviour  im-
        proved  to  the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards  in  two 
        jump outs on starting gate practice days. 
        
        Jockey  M. Madhu Babu, the rider of PINAAKINI, reported that  his 
        saddle  shifted forward soon after the start. On  examination  it 
        was found that the saddle had shifted forward and as such Trainer 
        Mr. G. Nityanand was fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling of  his 
        charge PINAAKINI.
        
        Approaching  the 800 Metres the right stirrup iron  of  GIFTOFAC-
        HIEVEMENT  (S. Mubarak) broke thereby the Jockey could not  offer 
        sufficient assistance to  his mount thereafter. 
        
        PINAAKINI (M. Madhu Babu) burst its blood vessels after the race.  
        Trainer  Mr.  G. Nityanand was informed that he  must  produce  a 
        Fitness  Certificate  from the Club's Veterinary  Officer  before 
        accepting with it again. 
        
        Trainer Mr. J.S. Pillay was questioned regarding the poor perfor-
        mance  of  his charge KEMROCK (S.R.  Santosh  Kumar).The  trainer 
        stated  that  (a) his ward had returned sore after  its  previous 
        start in Race No.132 of the Bangalore Winter Meeting 2008-09; (b) 
        he was not able to work his ward fully; (c) he was only  trotting 
        it around the course and swimming him in two rounds in the  pool; 
        (d) since his ward had tendon problem on both the fore legs;  and 
        (e) he himself was not satisfied with its start, therefore he had 
        accepted his ward to run again and thought it would have come  up 
        from  its  previous run.His explanations were  noted  for  future 
        reference.  
        
        Trainer  Mr.  Amit Caddy was questioned regarding  the  continued 
        poor performance of his charge TRAFALGAR SQUARE in its last  four 
        starts  during the current meeting. The trainer stated  that  (a) 
        his  ward is working very well on the track and does not  produce 
        the same in the race; (b) his ward might not be liking the Blink-
        ers;  (c)  his ward ran in a 1400 Metres because  he  thought  if 
        there  are no fast horses at least his ward go to the front;  and 
        (d) he is going to rest his ward for the season since it must  be 
        out  of form. His explanations were noted for  future  reference. 
        However,  the  Trainer  was advised to desist  from  running  his 
        charge  till  he is confident of the horse performing up  to  its 
        racing capability.    
        
        Routine  Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g  COUNT 
        THIS. 
        
        2nd Race:       199. The Vibrant Plate - (About) 1600 Metres.
            For horses rated 20 to 45, 5,6 & 7 years old (7 Runners).
        
        MEDIA  MAN  (F.K. Shahbuddin) was withdrawn before  coming  under 
        Starter's  Orders as the horse played up in the gates,  sustained 
        trauma  to head with resultant cerebral shock and bleeding  inju-
        ries on left fore cannon  and gums. Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan  was 
        informed  that  he must produce a Fitness  Certificate  from  the 
        Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        SUDDEN  THUNDER  (A. Ashok Kumar) whipped around soon  after  the 
        start  and dislodged its rider and took no practical part in  the 
        race. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed 
        that  he  must not accept with it again until its  behaviour  im-
        proved  to  the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards  in  one 
        Mock Race on a race day on the race track.  
        
        SUDDEN  THUNDER (A. Ashok Kumar) was examined at 3.20 pm and  was 
        found to be trotting lame on left fore due to a sprained fetlock.  
        Trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed that he must produce a Fitness 
        Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before running the 
        horse in a Mock Race.
        
        Jockey  S.  Shiva  Kumar, the rider of AMAZING  FLORA  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/-  for shifting `in' and causing interference  to  SHE'S 
        BIG (M. Mark) approaching the 1000 Metres. 
        
        Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b g BADGE OF HONOR. 
        
        3rd Race:       200. The Makedatu Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
           For horses rated 00 to 25, 5,6 & 7 years old (11 Runners).
        
        Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was fined Rs.500/- for making an  error 
        in the starting declaration in respect of his charge NICE GUY.
        
        Permission  was  granted to trainer Mr. Samar Singh  to  withdraw 
        SILVER  PARIS  (A. Ashok Kumar) on veterinary grounds as  it  was 
        examined  at  8.05  a.m. on 7th March 2003 and was  found  to  be 
        trotting  short on left fore due to a sprained knee. He  was  in-
        formed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's 
        Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        EVENING  RHAPSODY (M. Madhu Babu-drawn 11) jumped  awkwardly  in-
        wards unbalancing the rider thereby inconveniencing MISTER TROOP-
        ER  (Afsar Khan-drawn 10) which in turn bumped on to  GATI  POWER 
        (F.K. Shahbuddin-drawn 9).
        
        DRAUPADI  (P.S. Chouhan) stumbled approaching the 600 Metres  and 
        was lugging `in' in the straight. It was impounded for veterinary 
        examination. On examination the Club's Veterinary Officer report-
        ed that it was found to have sharp molars on upper and lower jaws 
        on either side.
        
        Jockey  Gaurav Sapra, the rider of COUELLE, was fined  Rs.2,000/- 
        for  shifting `out' and causing interference to EVENING  RHAPSODY 
        (M. Madhu Babu) which in turn bumped GATI POWER (F.K.  Shabuddin) 
        who had to restrain his mount in the process clipped the heels of 
        MISTER  TROOPER (Afsar Khan) thereby dislodging Jockey F.K.  Sha-
        buddin approaching the 300 Metres. 
        
        Jockey  Afsar  Khan,  the  rider of  MISTER  TROOPER,  was  fined 
        Rs.2,000/-  for  shifting `in' and causing interference  to  GATI 
        POWER (F.K. Shabuddin) passing the 300 Metres. 
        
        NICE  GUY (Chethana K) was examined after the race and  found  to 
        have buccal injury on left corner of the mouth.
        
        COMMAND PERFORMANCE (Suraj Narredu) sustained deep cut injury  on 
        its right hind pastern. 
        
        Routine  Sample  was taken for analysis from the winner  dk  b  m 
        ROYAL FLYNN.  
        
        4th Race:  201. The Manasa Sarovara Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400
         Metres. For horses rated 40 to 65 (7 Runners).
        
        Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan to  withdraw 
        THE SPARTAN on veterinary grounds as it was examined at 7.40 a.m. 
        on 6th March 2009 and found to be trotting lame on right hind. He 
        was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from  the 
        Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 
        
        Permission  was  granted to trainer Mr. S.  Singh  to  substitute 
        Jockey  Suraj Narredu to ride SUPER SHA in place of the  declared 
        rider. 
        
        SPARK  OF  CLASS (S. Chandrashekar) shied  inwards  and  outwards 
        alternately  under  the use of whip as such the rider  could  not 
        exercise  sufficient control over his mount in the last  200  Me-
        tres.
        
        JOIN THE PARTY (Vivek) sustained an injury on left fore cannon. 
        
        5th Race:   202. The Sprinters' Championship Trophy-(About) 1200
        Metres. For Indian Horses 4 years old and over (Terms)(4 Runners)
        
        Permission  was  granted to trainer Mr. M. Eshwer  to  substitute 
        Jockey  Samuel Fargeat to ride JERSEY PRIDE in place of  the  de-
        clared rider. 
        
        The  part owner Mr. Sanjay Kapoor requested the Stipendiary  Ste-
        wards  to examine his horse DIAMOND HUNTER before the race as  he 
        had information by his Bookmaker that the horse was not  trotting 
        sound.   The horse was examined at the saddling enclosure  before 
        the  race at 3.45 p.m. and was found to be trotting lame on  left 
        fore.  Hence it was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Trainer  Mr. 
        M. Eshwar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate 
        from  the  Club's  Veterinary Officer before  accepting  with  it 
        again. An enquiry has been opened into the above incident. 
         
        Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from ch h DIAMOND HUNTER.
        
        6th Race:       203. The Karwar Plate - (About) 1100 Metres.
        Handicap for horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners).
        
        WAY TO FANTASY (A. Ashok Kumar) did not get a clear run approach-
        ing the 400 Metres and lost his whip in the last 20 Metres. 
        
        7th Race:  204. The Manasa Sarovara Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400
         Metres. For horses rated 40 to 65 (9 Runners).
        
        Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.500/- for making an  error 
        in the starting declaration in respect of his charge  TELEMACCHUS 
        as regards claiming allowance. 
        
        Jockey  S.  Shiva  Kumar, the rider  of  TELEMACCHUS,  was  fined  
        Rs.2,000/-  for shifting out and causing interference  to  STORMY  
        RIVER (P.S. Chouhan) and PRINCE VILLE (M. Suresh) soon after  the 
        start. 
        
        ANNA'S QUEST (Mohd. Ghous) sustained an injury on right knee. 
        
        CUTE  STYLE (Afsar Khan) sustained an injury on right fore  coro-
        net. 
        
        Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g  SUNNY 
        GOLD. 
        
        8th Race:   205. The Katil Plate - (About) 1100 Metres. Maiden
        Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (12 Runners)
        
        Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was fined Rs.500/- for not obtaining prior 
        permission  to take his charge SPRINT STAR to the starting  gates 
        in advance of the remainder of the field, as per  General  Condi-
        tion 20 of the Prospectus of BWM 2008-09.
        
        OCEAN  FLAME (V.R. Jagadeesh) veered out badly   approaching  the 
        800 Metres and raced on the sand track thereafter. In view of its 
        behaviour  trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must  not 
        accept  with it again until its behaviour improved to the  satis-
        faction  of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on  a  race 
        day on the race track.  
        
        Jockey  P.S  Chouhan,  the rider of GLORY  TO  DANCER  was  fined 
        Rs.1,000/- for shifting `in' and causing interference to SPARK OF 
        SOLITAIRE (S. Chandrashekar) approaching the 300 Metres. 
        
        OCEAN FLAME (V.R. Jagadeesh) was examined and found to have sharp 
        molars  on lower jaw on the right side, an injury on left  buccal 
        wall corner and injuries on right fore cannon and left hock.

        Permission  was  granted  to trainers M/s.  S.S.  Attaollahi  and 
        K.Pradeep  Annaiah  to deputise on behalf of trainers  M/s.  J.S. 
        Dhariwal and S. Singh respectively who were unable to attend  the 
        races.

                                ADDITIONAL REPORT
                      15TH DAY SATURDAY, 10TH JANUARY 2009
        
        Race  No.120 The Chief Ministers Trophy-(About) 2000 Metres.  For 
        Indian Horses 4 years old and over at the time of starting.
        
             An  enquiry was held regarding the report by  Jockey  Samuel 
        Fargeat,  the  rider  of ARABIAN KNIGHT, that he  was  taken  out 
        rounding  the  final bend deliberately by Jockey  D.  Patel,  the 
        rider  of WONDER SMILE. After due enquiry, as there was no  miti-
        gating  circumstances Jockey D. Patel, the rider of WONDER  SMILE 
        was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting `out' and causing  interference 
        to ARABIAN KNIGHT (Samuel Fargeat) rounding the final bend. 
        
                      22ND DAY, FRIDAY, 13TH FEBRUARY 2009
        Race  No.152.  The Doddaballapur Plate-(About) 1400  Metres.  For 
        horses rated 00 to 25.
        
        After due enquiry Jockey S. Selvaraj, the rider of MONEY  MANDRA, 
        was  severely reprimanded for his negligence in not wearing  gog-
        gles in the above race. 
        
        Race  No.156  The H. Devereux Memorial  Plate-Div.I-(About)  1400 
        Metres. For horses rated 40 to 65, 5,6 & 7 years old.
        
        The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey S. Selvaraj the rider of 
        BASTIAN  BAY  to the Stewards for negligence (Rule  No.161(i)  in 
        that he rode without wearing the goggles which adversely affected 
        his riding that too after a similar negligence in Race No.152  on 
        MONEY MANTRA on the same day. The Stewards held an enquiry on 7th 
        March 2009 after the last race and interviewed Jockey S.  Selvar-
        aj. After deliberations they decided to suspend Jockey S. Selvar-
        aj  from riding in races from 17-3-2009 to 28-3-2009  (both  days 
        inclusive) for his negligence (Rule No.161(i)) on his mount  BAS-
        TIAN BAY  in the above race (permitted to ride work).
