(99 - 106)

Going : Good Penetrometer Reading : 3.7 Cm

(False Rails: Average width of 3.5 Metres from 1600 Metres to 1000 Metres and 7.5 Metres from 1000 Metres to the winning post)

1st Race: 99. The New Year Trophy-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres. Indian horses 3 years old only at the time of starting (Terms) (8 Runners).

Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was fined Rs.500/- for failing to declare the weight in respect of his charge BLACK SUPER STAR.

Jockey S.A.De Sousa, the rider of BRAAVO, reported that his mount was running green throughout the race. He said that as a result his mount went in and tightened LIBERTY SHIP (Vinod Shinde) on his inside approaching the 900 Metres.

Approaching the 650 Metres ALL ROYAL (K.P.G. Appu) slipped from behind and fell dislodging its rider. After immediate examination, the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that the horse sustained fracture of left tibia. Hence it was euthanised.

BRIDGE OF GOLD (Mohammed Shoaib) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was advised to ensure better performance of his charge.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b c SKY TRAIN.

2nd Race: 100. The Subash Nagar Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 (7 Runners)

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj to withdraw YES WE CAN (M.A. Milan) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be walking lame on left fore due to inflamed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of PRINCE NORBERT, reported that his mount accidentally brushed the false rails approaching the 600 Metres whereby his right stirrup iron broke and he had to ride without the aid of the equipment and he could not offer sufficient assistance to his mount thereafter.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ISINBAYEVA.



3rd Race: 101. The New Year Trophy-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres. Indian horses 3 years old only at the time of starting (Terms) (8 Runners).

Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was fined Rs.500/- for failing to declare the weight in respect of his charge SURE SPEED.

Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was fined Rs.500/- for failing to declare the weight in respect of his charge VERNOSTONUS.

Trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was fined Rs.500/- for failing to declare the weight in respect of his charge GLITTERING GOLD.

GLITTERING GOLD (K.P.G. Appu) was examined at the starting gates and was found to be lame on right fore. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary gorunds before coming under Starter's orders. Trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

MISSONI (S.A. De Sousa) stumbled while jumping out of the starting gates.

VERNOSTONUS (Samuel Fargeat) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced MYSTIC DAWN (David Allan) which in turn passed it on to INDIAN BOLT (Himanshu) on the inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

INDIAN BOLT (Himanshu) jumped and swerved towards the left and refused to raise a fluent gallop and went on to the outer sand track and completed the course on the outer sand track. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

MYSTIC DAWN (David Allan) was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have a cap on the left lower jaw. Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was fined Rs.2,000/- for his negligence. He was also informed to take necessary remedial measures before accepting with it again.

Jockey Samuel Fargeat, the rider of VERNOSTONUS, reported that his mount was hanging in badly after entering the straight and he had considerable difficulty in keeping it on an even course and riding it out. Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Jockey S.A. De Sousa, the rider of MISSONI, was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (2nd infringement).

4th Race : 102. The Summer Dust Plate-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (9 Runners).

Approaching the 800 Metres HOBSONS CHOICE (S. Selvaraj) accidentally collided with the false rails and fell dislodging its rider. On examination by the Club's Veterinary Officer it was observed that HOBSONS CHOICE (S. Selvaraj) sustained bleeding cut injuries on right neck, elbow, knee and brisket. Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

SANDALWOOD STAR (Afsar Khan) sustained a bleeding cut injury on right gaskin.

5th Race : 103. The Kelachandra New Millennium Cup-(About) 1400 Metres. Indian Horses 4 years old and over at the time of starting (Terms) (8 Runners).

Trainer Mr. M.P. Mahaesh was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the declaration of weight in respect of his charge SPLENDID SURPRISE.

Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the declaration of weight in respect of his charge ATLANTUS.

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Z. Darashah to withdraw OHIYESA (D. Gnaneshwar) on veterinary grounds as it was suffering from fever. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey S. John, the rider of TOMSK, was reprimanded for accidentally striking SPLENDID SURPRISE (Vinod Shinde) on his outside with his whip approaching the 200 Metres.

Jockey C.D. Hayes, the rider of ARISTOS, reported that his mount was lugging out throughout the race. Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was advised to take remedial measures before accepting with it again.

6th Race: 104. The Raichur Plate-(About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85 (11 Runners).

It was observed that Jockey S. John, the rider of STAR ASSEMBLY, lost his whip approaching the final 100 Metres. He was reprimanded for his negligence in not reporting the same to the Stipendiary Stewards.

7th Race: 105. The Dr. S.K. Pillay Memorial Plate-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (11 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Mohd. A. Abbas to withdraw INDIAN ARCELOR on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on left fore due to sprained fetlock. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of REGAL GLORY, reported that his mount was lugging in under pressure in the last 300 Metres.

The Club's Veterinary Officer reported that on examination after the race it was observed that the right fore shoe of GRIS RAPIDE (A. Velu) had apparently come off during the race.

Jockey S. Mallikarjun, the rider of SPARK OF BRONTE was fined Rs.2,000/- for not making sufficient effort to improve his position during the early part of the race.



8th Race: 106. The Somawarpet Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ADVANTAGE LOGAN.
