1ST Race: 156. The Lalitmahal Plate - (About) 1200 Metres.
For horses rated 00 to 25, 5 years old and over (9 Runners)

ASTONICAL (G. Adarsh) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. V. Lokanth was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

GIVE ME THE MONEY (P.S. Chouhan) sustained a cut injury on right hind tendon.

Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was questioned regarding the poor performance of his charge GIVE ME THE MONEY, the favourite. The trainer stated that (a) the horse was running in a very poor company today; (b) it had been tracking reasonably well; (c) based on this he had fancied his charge to win the race; (d) he had instructed the rider to keep it in 3rd\4th position and ride out after entering the straight; (e) the rider had followed his instructions, but was travelling about 3 wide because of the horses racing on the inside; (f) the rider rode out in straight but the horse did not respond well; and (g) although he was satisfied with the riding of the Jockey, he was quite shocked at the performance of his charge. The rider when questioned stated that he fully followed the trainer's instructions, but the horse was not responding to his urgings in the straight. Their explanations were noted.

Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was questioned regarding the improved performance of his charge BLACK SPLENDOUR (K. Chethana), the winner of this race as compared to its previous run in Race No.141 i.e. The Jamuna Plate-(About) 1400 Metes, for horses rated 00 to 25, when ridden by Jockey Amarpreet Singh it ran unplaced on 23rd January 2010. The trainer stated that (a) in its last outing the horse ran in an open Class in a much better company; (b) It was over 1400 Metres where his charge ran prominently till about the final 200 Metres; (c) today the company was very mediocre; (d) today he had declared a Jockey who was claiming 4 kg. Allowance; (e) in the light of the above his charge just about managed to win the race; and (f) he chose to run it within a short interval as he was contemplating to retire the horse to stud. While noting his explanations he was advised to ensure consistency in running of his charges in future.

2nd Race: 157. The Forever Elegance - Div.II- (About) 1200
Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners)

Trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji was fined Rs.2,000/- for his negligence for not intimating the office in time about his charge WYNN having been gelded.

STORMY AFFAIR (Khurshad Alam) sustained a cut injury on left hind tendon.

WYNN (Imran Chisty) sustained a cut injury on left fore cannon.

3rd Race: 158. The Narasimharaja Cup - (About) 1400 Metres. For 3-year-old Indian Horses (Foaled in 2007) (Terms) (6 Runners)

Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was fined a total sum of Rs.3,000/- for making error in the submission of scratching form in respect of his charges ALNASR IMAGE, BALMORAL CASTLE, CHERELLE, CON ARTISTE, NORTH CAPE and WINDSOR PARK.

Jockey S.A. DeSousa, the rider of MAKE MY DAY, reported that his mount was hanging out in the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination by the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have sharp molars and caps on both jaws. Trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji was questioned as to the lapse and he stated that after its first run on 5th December and also after its 2nd run on 2nd January the horse had shown a similar tendency and therefore he had it treated by his Veterinarian in the first instance and by the Club's Veterinary Officer after its 2nd run and the molars were attended to and he was quite concerned about the existence of molars. However he was informed to once again take necessary remedial measures before accepting with it again.

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of AIRPLAY, reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.

Jockey C.D. Hayes, the rider of CAMORRA, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

4th Race: 159. The Forever Elegance Plate - Div.I- (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners)

An enquiry has been opened into the running and riding of YOURE STUNNING trained by Mr. Pradeep Annaiah and ridden by Jockey Afsar.

5th Race: 160. The Hoysala Cup-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres.
Horses rated 60 to 85 (9 Runners)

Jockey K. Chethana, the rider of CLASIC CHARGE, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not persevering with his mount during the race.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from b g ALACRITY.

6th Race: 161. The Mcpherson Memorial Plate-(About) 1400 Metres. For horses rated 40 to 65 (12 Runners)

Jockey M.D. Praveen, the declared rider of THE DAWN, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not making the allotted weight with due allowance on the scales. Subsequently permission was granted to trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao to declare Jockey N. Harsha to ride THE DAWN in place of the declared rider.

Jockey B.L. Paswan, the rider of ADVANTAGE LOGAN, was fined Rs.2,000/- for attempting to force a passage along the rails between 700 Metres and 500 Metres where there was insufficient room.

RUGGED BEAUTY (P.S. Chouhan) sustained a cut injury on left hock.

MUSICAL PARADISE (M. Ravi) sustained a cut injury on left hock.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ALPHA BABY.

7th Race: 162. The Hoysala Cup-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres.

STAR PRESENCE (K. Chethana) sustained a cut injury on left hock.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dkb c TICKET TO RIDE.

8th Race: 163. The Brahmaputra Plate- (About) 1400 Metres.
Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (11 Runners)

MUDEER POWER (B. Sreekanth) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was once again informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

Jockey Harish, the rider of GOOD COMPANION, reported that his mount was hanging in very badly in the straight as such he could not offer any assistance to his mount thereafter. Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

154. The N.R.C.E. Cup-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres.Horses rated 20 to 45.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey N. Harsha, the rider of SUGRIV to the Stewards for unsatisfactory riding (Rule No.161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race on 30th January 2010 and examined trainer Mr. B. Puttanna and Jockey N. Harsha. After deliberations, they decided to (a) severely caution trainer Mr. B. Puttanna as to the future running of his charges; and (b) suspend Jockey N. Harsha from riding in races from 9-2-2010 to 17-2-2010 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding on his mount(Rule No.161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing) SUGRIV in the above race (permitted to ride work).
