1ST Race: 116. The Dancing Fountain Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 5 years old and over
(9 Runners)

SEVEN STAR (Zia Akhtar) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced THE ROLLS (S. Chandrashekar) on the outside soon after jumping out of the Starting Gates.

Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of COMANCHE WAR PAINT, was fined Rs.1,000/- for checking his mount during the early part of the race and also for not exercising sufficient control over his mount thereby allowed his mount to hit the false rails approaching the 1000 Metres.

GOD'S WILL (S. Selvaraj) shifted in and bumped COMANCHE WAR PAINT (Mohammed Shoaib) on the inside approaching the 350 Metres.

Jockey Zia Akhtar, the rider of SEVEN STAR, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

COMANCHE WAR PAINT (Mohammed Shoaib) sustained injuries on the right ribs resulting in hematoma's.

2nd Race: 117. The Holenarsipur Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (Terms)
(12 Runners).

Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was fined Rs.500/- for not using tongue strap on his charge GUNPOWDER for the use of which permission had been obtained. Subsequently Tongue Strap was put on the horse before the horse left the paddock.

SUNSPIRIT (Imran Chisty) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped INSPIRATOR (Vivek) on the outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of MOVES GOODENOUGH was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to HADRIAN (S.A. De Sousa) on the inside in the final 100 Metres of the race.

GUNPOWDER (S. John) sustained cut injury on left hock and left hind outer bulb of heel.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch c SUNSPIRIT.

3rd Race : 118. The K. Rama Rao Memorial Trophy - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over (9 Runners).

Jockey B.L. Paswan, the rider of MAC, was reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course during the race.

4th Race: 119. The Splendid Role Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners)

GREY QUEEN (S. Mallikarjun) pulled up lame on left fore due to sprained shoulder. Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

GOLDEN DIXIE (S. Rajesh) sustained cut injury on left hind fetlock.

SWEET TIMER (P. Ramesh) sustained cut injury on left quarter.
5th Race : 120. The Malpe Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85 (8 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi to withdraw CIBONEY on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore due to sprained shoulder. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

As Jockey B. Prakash was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy to substitute Jockey M. Narredu to ride STAR ASSEMBLY in place of the declared rider.

Jockey M. Narredu, the rider of STAR ASSEMBLY, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Jockey David Allan, the rider of FROZEN FIRE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g CIELO REY.

6th Race: 121. The Chief Minister's Trophy-(About) 2000 Metres. Indian horses 4 years old and over at the time of starting (Terms) (7 Runners).

Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the Declaration of Weight in respect of his charge FLEET INDIAN.

Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the Declaration of Weight in respect of his charge CLASSERVILLE.

Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was fined Rs.2,000/- for declaring Jockey Maclullah to ride his charge CLASSERVILLE who did not have a valid Jockey's Licence under BTC Rules of Racing. Subsequently he was permitted to declare Jockey Imran Chisty to ride CLASSERVILLE.

Jockey S.A. De Sousa, the rider of SPARK OF GOLD, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to CLASSERVILLE (Imran Chisty) on his inside approaching the 250 Metres.

7th Race: 122. The R.H. Shaw Memorial Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (12 Runners)

Trainer Mr. Karan Singh was fined a total sum of Rs.1,000/- for making error in the starting declaration in respect of his charges LUNAR LUST and MUSICAL PARADISE respectively as regards shoeing.

Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of KRIPA, was reprimanded for dropping his hands before passing the winning post.

Jockey S.A. De Sousa, the rider of KINGDOMOFDREAMS, was reprimanded for dropping his hands before passing the winning post.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SHOTGUNN.

8th Race: 123. The Splendid Role Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners)

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy to substitute Jockey S. John to ride CLASSIC COMMANDER in place of the declared rider.

Trainer Mr. J.S. Pillay was fined Rs.1,000/- for his negligence in using bandages on the hind leg of his charge AMBER STAR (A. Velu) without prior permission.

NEARCO MASTER (G. Vijay) pulled up lame on right fore due to sprained shoulder. Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Afsar, the rider of YOURE CHILUBULI, was fined Rs.5,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount during the race.

YOURE CHILUBULI (Afsar) sustained a cut injury on left fore fetlock.

9th Race: 124. The Kitty Bank Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (12 Runners)

As Jockey N. Tauseef Ahmed was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Narredu to substitute Jockey Amyn Merchant to ride BURNING AMBITION in place of the declared rider.

It was observed that DOUBLE ELITE (Gaurav Sapra) pulled up lame rounding the final bend. On examination, the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it had sustained fracture of both hind fetlock during the race. Subsequently it was euthanised.

An objection was lodged by Jockey Samuel Fargeat, the rider of POWERFULDREAMS placed 3rd by the Judge against Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of MAN UNITED placed 1st for "pushing me inside on the straight and coming in sharply in the last 100 Metres and bumping me badly thereby I had to stop riding which cost me a certain race as my horse was still moving very nicely till the winning post". The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations they decided to uphold the objection and revise the order of placings as under:

An enquiry is being held into the interference caused by Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of MAN UNITED to Jockey Samuel Fargeat, the rider of POWERFULDREAMS during the race.

106. The Baikanoor Plate-Div.I-(About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over.

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on 8th January 2010, considered the appeal submitted by Jockey S. Shiva Kumar dated 11-11-2009 against the decision of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., in suspending his licence from 20-11-2009 to 24-2-2010 and referring him to the Stewards of BTC for further action for Contravention of Rule No.159(a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing in connection with his riding on his mount b g SUAVE in the above race. They also considered the Minutes of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., dated 28th August 2009, 8th October 2009, 4th November 2009 and 10th November 2009. They interviewed trainer Mr. T. Nataraj, Mr. S. Marshall, Spokesman for Jockey S. Shiva Kumar and Jockey S. Shiva Kumar himself. After viewing the CCTV replay of the race and considering the evidence tendered by trainer Mr. T. Nataraj, S. Marshall and Jockey S. Shiva Kumar, the Stewards decided that the infringement committed by Jockey S. Shiva Kumar be treated as unsatisfactory riding (Rule 161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing) instead of Contravention of Rule No.159(a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing). Consequently they decided to (a) suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey S. Shiva Kumar from 18-1-2010 to 26-2-2010 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding on his mount SUAVE in the above race (permitted to ride work); and (b) to forfeit the appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- paid by him.

105. The Triveni Plate-(About) 1400 Metres. For Horses ratd 20 to 45, 5 years old and over

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on 8th January 2010, considered the appeal dated 12-11-2009 submitted by Jockey N. Tauseef Ahmed against the decision of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., in suspending his licence from 20-11-2009 to 24-2-2010 for contravention of Rule No.159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount WAY TO WEALTH in the above race. They also considered the Minutes of the Meeting of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., dated 10th November 2009. They interviewed trainer Mr. P.C. Tejaswi, Mr. S. Marshall, Spokesman for Jockey N. Tauseef Ahmed and Jockey N. Tauseef Ahmed himself. After viewing the CCTV replay of the race and considering the evidence tendered by trainer Mr. P.C. Tejaswi and Jockey N. Tauseef Ahmed, the Stewards decided (a) to reject the appeal filed by Jockey N. Tauseef Ahmed; (b) that the revised date of punishment shall be from 18-1-2010 to 2-4-2010 for contravention of Rule No.159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount WAY TO WEALTH in the above race (not permitted to ride work); and (c) to forfeit the appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- paid by him.

147. The Setia Teknology Cup-Div.II-(About) 1400 Metres.

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on 8th January 2010, considered the appeal dated 11-11-2009 submitted by Jockey A. Ashok Kumar against the decision of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., in suspending his licence from 20-11-2009 to 24-2-2010 for contravention of Rule No.159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount SUPER SHA in the above race. They also considered the Minutes of the Meeting of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., dated 10th November 2009.They interviewed trainer Mr. Vikram Appachu and Jockey A. Ashok Kumar. After viewing the CCTV replay of the race and considering the evidence tendered by trainer Mr. Vikram Appachu and Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the Stewards decided (a) to reject the appeal filed by Jockey A. Ashok Kumar; (b) that the revised date of punishment shall be from 18-1-2010 to 24-2-2010 for contravention of Rule No.159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount SUPER SHA in the above race (not permitted to ride work); and (c) to forfeit the appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- paid by him.
