1st Race: 41. The Linganamakki Plate - (About) 1100 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 (12 Runners).

Trainer Mr. V.Lokanath was questioned regarding the running of his charge FLYING FLAME (Imran Chisty). The trainer stated that; (a) his charge had run after a long lay off in race No.1 of the Bangalore Winter Meeting 2009-10 and had placed 3rd; (b) it had a joint problem and that was the reason he worked his charge sparingly and gave it a lot of swimming; and (c) he could not attribute any specific reason as to how his charge ran as a favourite in race; and (d) he had instructed the rider to be up with the front runners and do his best in the straight and the rider fully rode as per his instructions and he was satisfied. His explanations were noted.

Jockey Imran Chisty reported that his mount FLYING FLAME was inclined to run out after the final bend. After the race, the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that on examination FLYING FLAME (Imran Chisty) pulled up lame on left fore due to sprained fetlock joint. Trainer Mr.V.Lokanath was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

PRETTY PEINTA (G.Adarsh) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

2nd Race : 42. The N.Wood Memorial Plate-Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (8 Runners).

Jockey F.K.Shabuddin the rider of GREENBRO reported that his mount was inclined to run out rounding the final bend. Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was informed to get it checked by his veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f INCREDIBLE.

3rd Race: 43. The Belgaum Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over. (9 Runners).

Trainer Mr. J.S.Dhariwal was questioned regarding the improved performance of his charge SPANDAU BALLET (C.D.Hayes) the winner of this race as compared to its previous run in race No.12 of Bangalore Winter Meeting 2009-10 when ridden by jockey Ryan Marshall it ran unplaced. The trainer stated that; (a) he had given sufficient gap for his charge from the previous run to this run; (b) subsequently his charge was working very well during the track work; and (c) with the benefit of a run his charge had shown good improvement and won the race. His explanations were noted.

Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji and Jockey S.A.De Sousa were questioned regarding the running and riding of RAPTOR FORCE. The trainer stated that (a) he had instructed the jockey to ride it off the pace and gradually improve his position and do his best in the straight; (b) he thought his charge required more distance and also added that his charge won its latter race well when ridden off the pace; (c) the rider was niggling the horse till the final bend and rode out in the straight; and (d) that he was satisfied with his riding. The jockey corroborated the statement of the trainer and also added that (a) he was at it from the word go but the horse was just not responding during the early stage; (b) his mount improved only in the straight; and (c) in his opinion the horse was lame after the race. Subsequently the club's Veterinary officer was informed to examine the horse. On examination after the last race at 5.45 P.M. the Club's Veterinary officer reported that RAPTOR FORECE was found to be trotting lame on his left fore due to a sprained fetlock. Trainer Mr.Darius Byramji was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting when it again.

4th Race: 44. The Saddle Up Plate-Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45. (11 Runners).

Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar was questioned regarding relative performance of his charge SPARK OF ILDERIM the winner in the above race as compared to its previous runs in race NO.9 and 35 of Bangalore Winter Meeting 2009-10. The trainer stated that; (a) when his charge ran in the race No.9 it was over 1200 Metres ridden by jockey Suraj Narredu; (b) after the race the jockey had suggested that his charge would require more distance; (c) that was the reason why he tried his charge over 1600 Metres in Race No.35; (d) his charge was in front bunch field till about the 300 Metres and then faded out; (e) he had removed the cross nose band off his charge since the last start; (f) based on the last run he chose to run over 1200 Metres today and the horse managed to win the race; and (g) actually he did not fancy it much to win the race today. While noting the explanations of the trainer he was cautioned to desist from the undesirable practice of running his charge over different distances and that too at too frequent an interval especially what it had performed poorly in its last run.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SPARK OF ILDERIM.

5th Race: 45. The Royal Calcutta Turf Club Cup - (About) 1800 Metres. Horses rated 80 and above (9 Runners).

Jockey Samuel Fargeat the rider of MY FRIEND PAUL reported that he could not get clear run soon after the start do the due to the crowding of the field.

6th Race : 46. The Saddle Up Plate-Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).

Jockey Y.S.Srinath the rider of SPARK OF JEWEL was reprimanded for coming in and tightening FLAIR QUEEN (S.Shiva Kumar) on his inside; SUPREME ARCH (K.Raja Rao) which was travelling directly behind had to be checked by its rider and WALTER (N.Harsha) which was travelling along the rails also had to be checked by its rider approaching the 700 Metres.





ROYAL ZEN (S.Mallikarjun) burst its blood vessels after the race. Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

FLAIR QUEEN (S.Shiva Kumar ) sustained a cut injury on right fore cannon.

IDAR PRINCESS (S.Rajesh) sustained a cut injury on right hock.

Compulsory Sample was taken for analysis from the b g ROYAL ZEN.

7th Race: 47. The N.Wood Memorial Plate-Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (8 Runners).

Jockey B.Prakash the rider of STAR OF MARMALADE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Jockey S.A.De Sousa, the rider of OBAN, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f OBAN.

8th Race: 48. The Fernhill's Palace Bangalore 1000 Guineas (Grade-II) (About) 1600 Metres. For 3-year-old Indian Fillies (Foaled in 2006) TERMS (10 Runners).

It was observed that left rein of Jockey K.P.G.Appu on GYPSY MAGIC had momentarily slipped from his hands passing the 150 Metres which he regained with in a few strides.

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of YOURE SO BEAUTIFUL, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed horses viz:

9th Race: 49. The Antaragange Plate (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over. (12 Runners).

AAJ TAK (N.Harsha) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. B.Puttanna was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.





It was observed that the saddle of SPARKLING ADVENTURE (Khurshad Alam) had shifted over the withers passing the 900 Metres. After due examination of the equipment after the race. Trainer Mr. B.Prithviraj was fined Rs.2000/- for faulty saddling of his charge.
Permission was granted to trainers M/s. V.Lokanath, Hidayat Khan, Darius Byramji and Arjun Mangalorkar to deputise on behalf of trainers M/s. Mahmood Khan, Irfan Ghatala, R.R.Byramji and S.S.Attollahi respectively who were unable to attend the races.
