(False Rails : Average width of 3.0 Metres from 1600 Metres to 1000 Metres and 6.0 Metres from 1000 Metres to the winning Post.)

1st Race: 50. The Honnavar Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (10 Runners).

Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of CINDY GIRL, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to LEADING LADY (B. Sreekanth) on his inside approaching the 250 Metres.

Jockey K. Raja Rao, the rider of LITTLE PREMIUM, reported that his mount was inclined to run out rounding the final bend. Trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian before accepting with it again.

Jockey S. Selvaraj, the rider of DAZZLING HONOUR, was reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course in the final stages of the race.

Jockey Khurshad Alam, the rider of RETRO QUEEN, was reprimanded for dropping his hands before passing the winning post.

RETRO QUEEN (Khurshad Alam) sustained cut injury on left hind cannon.

2nd Race: 51. The Bugs Bunny Trophy - Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal to withdraw MAN DOWN UNDER (S.A. De Sousa) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be stiff due to sprained back. Trainer was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

SHUBHA (N. Harsha) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

SNOW PEAKS (Amyn Merchant) was slowly away and lost a few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. S. Dominic was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.

Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of MY MUSKETEER, was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming in and causing interference to BURNING AMBITIONS (G.Y. Rajesh Babu) on his inside before passing the red marker post.

At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards an enquiry was held pertaining to the improved performance of PRASHASTHA (M.A. Milan), the winner of this race as compared to its previous performance in Race No.10 of Bangalore Winter Meeting 2009-10 when ridden by Jockey P. Ramesh it ran unplaced. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj. After due deliberation, the Stewards decided to note the explanations tendered by trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj. They further decided to severely caution trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj as to the consistency in the performance of his charges in future.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g PRASHASTHA.

3rd Race: 52. The Kentucky Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian horses 3 years old only (12 Runners).

TUTHMOSIS (V.R. Jagadeesh) took a fly jump.

RUMOUR PROOF (S.A. De Sousa) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced TULASI (N. Harsha) on the outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

CALYPSO STAR (C.D. Hayes) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced MISTY MOONLIGHT (B. Prakash) on the inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

Jockey S.A. De Sousa, the rider of RUMOUR PROOF, reported that his mount was hanging out throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian before accepting with it again.

IWANA DANCE (Harish) sustained a cut injury on his right hind fetlock.

ADVANTAGE LOGAN (B.L. Paswan) sustained gum injury.

The Club's Veterinary Officer reported that on examination after the race, it was observed that the left fore shoe on PEARL OF BANGALORE (Md. Shafiq) had apparently come off during the race.

4th Race: 53. The Poottannah Memorial Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 , 4 years old and over (10 Runners).

Jockey S. Babu, the rider of REGAL RANSOM, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to ZAIOS (M.A. Milan) on his outside before passing the red marker post.

Jockey Himanshu, the rider of SMART N SPECIAL, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not exercising sufficient control over his mount whereby he allowed his mount to hit the false rails approaching the 500 Metres.

DESERT REALM (K. Raja Rao) pulled up lame on right fore due to sprained shoulder. Trainer Mr. Karan Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

CANNAVARO (Khurshad Alam) sustained a cut injury on right hock.

5th Race: 54. The A.R. Keshava Mudaliar Memorial Plate - (About) 1800 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (9 Runners).

MR PRESIDENT (Harish) burst its blood vessels during the race. Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f SYSTEMATIC.

6th Race: 55. The Bugs Bunny Trophy - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).

Jockey Samuel Fargeat, the rider of SUNDAY BEST, reported that his mount was not striding out well and was continuously changing its legs. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

MEXIKAN WAVE (K. Raja Rao) ran detached from the field. Trainer V. Narayana Gowda was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

GURUJOSH (David Allan) burst its blood vessels during the race. Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

7th Race: 56. The Huthari Festival Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, who have run at least twice under BTC Rules after 30th April 2009 and not won a race at any centre after that date (12 Runners).

SOLITARY CHAMP (Tauseef Ahmed) ran detached from the field during the last 300 Metres. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala (deputizing for trainer Mr. S. Narredu) was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

8th Race: 57. The Poottannah Memorial Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over (11 Runners).

ZAFAR (S.A. De Sousa) was extremely fractious and refused to be stalled. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's Orders.

AHIRA (M.A. Milan) (drawn 6) jumped awkwardly outwards and SPICY STAR (D.Gnaneshwar) (drawn 8) jumped awkwardly inwards whereby GREENS (N. Harsha) was denied a clear run at the start.

POETIC (M. Ravi) sustained gum injuries.

COUNT THIS (Khurshad Alam) pulled up lame on right fore due to a sprained tendon. Trainer Mr. S. Dominic was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Race No.199. The Maj. Newton Davis Memorial Cup-(About) 1400 Metres, for horses rated 40 to 65.

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. at their meeting held on 3rd December 2009, considered the report submitted by the Stipendiary Steward pertaining to the detection of the Drug CAPSAICIN (prohibited substance) in the urine sample taken from b g GLORY TO DANCER after the said horse was placed First in the above race on Thursday, 6TH August, 2009. The horse owned by Mr. M.B. Hegde & Mrs. B. Anu Bhandary and trained by Mr. Pradeep Annaiah.

They interviewed trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah. After deliberations, they decided to fine him a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twentyfive Thousand only) for infringement of Medication Rules (in respect of his charge b g GLORY TO DANCER in the above race) as contained in BTC Calendar Notification under the heading "Medication and treatment of horses in Training and Racing and Anti-Doping Control" reading as follows:

"The trainer is always responsible for the protection and security of the horse in his care. The trainers are warned that they will be held responsible if an examination of a horse, declared to start in a race, results in the finding of any prohibited substances".

'A'

Race No.88. The Nainital Plate -(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 25 and below

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on 3rd December 2009, considered the Minutes of the Meeting of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., dated 18th September 2009 referring Jockey M.D. Praveen, the rider of YES I CAN to the Stewards of Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., for further action for not permitting his mount to run on its merits in the above race. They interviewed trainer Mr. J.S. Pillay and Jockey M.D. Praveen. After viewing the CCTV replay of the race and considering the evidence tendered by trainer Mr. J.S. Pillay and Jockey M.D. Praveen, the Stewards decided that the infringement committed by Jockey M.D. Praveen be treated as unsatisfactory riding (Rule 161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing) instead of not permitting his mount to run on its merits (Rule N.159 (a) of the BTC Rules of Racing. Consequently they decided to suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey M.D. Praveen from 13-12-2009 to 15-1-2010 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work).

MYSORE RACES 2009

FOURTEENTH DAY, FRIDAY, 25TH SEPTEMBER, 2009.

Race NO.106. The Margrove Estate Gold Cup- Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on 3rd December 2009, considered the appeal dated 6th November 2009 filed by Jockey B. Sreekanth against the decision of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., in suspending his licence from 10-10-2009 to 18-11-2009 for unsatisfactory riding (Rule 161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount KANGAROO PUNCH in the above race. The Stewards also noted that pending disposal of the appeal the above said punishment had been stayed by them. The Stewards viewed the CCTV replay of the race. They interviewed Mr. Ashok Raghavan, Spokesman of Jockey B. Sreekanth and the Jockey himself. After due deliberations, they decided to sustain the appeal and revoke the punishment imposed on Jockey B. Sreekanth and to refund the appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- paid by him.

FIFTEENTH DAY, WEDNESDAY, 30TH SEPTEMBER, 2009.

Race No.114. The Autumn Blue Plate-Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on 3rd December 2009, considered the appeal dated 22nd November 2009 and grounds of appeal dated 30th November 2009 filed by trainer Mr. Pratap M Kamath against the decision of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., in suspending his trainer's licence from 4-11-2009 to 3-12-2009 and a fine of Rs.10,000/- imposed on him for the unsatisfactory running of his charge JERICHO in the above race. The Stewards noted that pending disposal of the appeal the suspension had been stayed by them. They interviewed trainer Mr. Pratap M Kamath. After due deliberations, they decided to reject the appeal filed by trainer Mr. Pratap M Kamath and that the revised date of punishment shall be from 13-12-2009 to 12-1-2010 and to forfeit the deposit of the appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- paid by him.

TENTH DAY, FRIDAY, 11TH SEPTEMBER, 2009.

Race No.76. The Milkyway Plate-Div.I- (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on 3rd December 2009, considered the appeal dated 21st October 2009 and grounds of appeal dated 30th November 2009 filed by Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh against the decision of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., in suspending his Jockey's Licence from 4-11-2009 to 24-2-2010 for contravention of Rule No.159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount ON A ROLL in the above race. The Stewards noted pending disposal of the appeal the suspension had been stayed by them. They interviewed Mr. S. Marshall, Spokesman for Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh and the Jockey himself. After viewing the CCTV replay of the race, considering the evidence tendered by the Spokesman and Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh and after due deliberations the Stewards decided that the infringement committed by Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh be treated as unsatisfactory riding (Rule 161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing) instead of not permitting his mount to run on its merits (Rule N.159 (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing. Consequently they decided to suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh from 7-3-2010 to 2-4-2010 (both days inclusive) and should a Jockey's licence be granted to him for the season 2010-2011 the same shall remain suspended from 15-5-2010 to 23-5-2010 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work). The Stewards further decided that the appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- paid by the Jockey shall stand forfeited.

EIGHTEENTH DAY, SUNDAY, 12TH JULY, 2009.

Race No.139. The Mumbai Cup-Div.II- (About) 1400 Metres.
Horses rated 60 to 85

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on 3rd December 2009, considered the withdrawal of appeal by Jockey Imran Chisty dated 6-11-2009 (who's Jockey's licence was suspended from 22-7-2009 to 26-7-2007 by the Stewards for careless riding on his mount EL PASO in the above race and who appealed against said decision and the punishment stayed since). Therefore the Stewards decided that the licence of Jockey Imran Chisty be suspended from riding in Races from 7-12-2009 to 12-12-2009 for careless riding (Rules No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount EL PASO in the above race (permitted to ride work). The Stewards further decided that the appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- paid by the Jockey shall stand forfeited.

TWENTYSECOND DAY, SUNDAY, 26TH JULY, 2009.

Race No.168. The Batu Gantong Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on 3rd December 2009, considered the withdrawal of appeal by Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh dated 23rd September 2009 (who was suspended by the Stewards from 10-8-2009 to 9-11-2009 for contravention of Rule 159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount GREAT CHIEFTAN in the above race and who appealed against the said decision and the punishment stayed since). Therefore the Stewards decided that the Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh's Licence be suspended from 7-12-2009 to 6-3-2010 for contravention of Rule 159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount GREAT CHIEFTAIN in the above race (not permitted to ride work). The Stewards further decided that the appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- paid by the Jockey shall stand forfeited.

TWENTYFIFTH DAY, THURSDAY, 6TH AUGUST, 2009.

Race No.195. The Leading Owner Cup - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on 3rd December 2009, considered the withdrawal of appeal by Jockey Md. Shafiq dated 10th September 2009 (whose Jockey's licence was suspended by the Stewards from 21-8-2009 to 30-9-2009 for unsatisfactory riding (Rule No.161(ii) of the BTC Rules Racing and who appealed against said punishment stayed since) on his mount ATLANTUS in the above race). Therefore the Stewards decided that the licence of Jockey Md. Shafiq be suspended from 7-12-2009 to 9-1-2010 for unsatisfactory riding (Rule No.161(ii) of the BTC Rules Racing) on his mount ATLANTUS in the above race (permitted to ride work). The Stewards further decided that the appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- paid by the Jockey shall stand forfeited.


ADDITIONAL REPORT

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on 3rd December 2009, considered the letter dated 12th November 2009 submitted by trainer Mr. V. Lokanath seeking waiver of the fine of Rs.20,000/- imposed on him by the Stewards for contravention of Rule 100(ii) of BTC Rules of Racing in utilizing the services of an unregistered riding boy during track work on 6th October 2009. The Stewards after considering the above said letter and also considering the unqualified apology tendered by trainer Mr. V. Lokanath decided to rescind the fine of Rs.20,000/-. The Stewards further considered the letter dated 15th October 2009 of trainer Mr. V. Lokanath and decided to fine him Rs.5,000/- for impertinence on his part vide his letter dated 15-10-2009
