RACING INCIDENTS
(58 - 65)

Going : Good Penetrometer Reading : 3.8 Cms.

(False Rails: Average width of 3.0 Metres from 1600 Metres to 1000 Metres and 6.0 Metres from 1000 Metres to the winning post)

1st Race: 58. The December Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 2 years old only (10 Runners).

Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge ALL ROYAL. Subsequently `all black' emergency colours were permitted to be used.

Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala (deputizing for trainer Mr. S. Narredu) was fined Rs.2,000/- for the inordinate delay in arriving into paddock to complete the paddock formalities in respect of DEEP BLUE SKY (V.R. Jagadeesh).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy to withdraw STATESMAN (Vinod Shinde) on veterinary grounds as it was lame on right hind due to sprained stifle. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

VALAHAK (A. Ashok Kumar) was inclined to run out soon after the start.

Jockey C.D. Hayes, the rider of APRILLIA, was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming in and crowding the horses on his inside viz. BLACK SUPER STAR (Y.S. Srinath), ITS MY PARTY (Gaurav Sapra) on his inside approaching the 1000 Metres.

MISSONI (S.A. De Sousa) was running green during the race.

2nd Race : 59. The Planetarium Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 (7 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. B.Prithviraj to withdraw YES WE CAN (P. Ramesh) on veterinary grounds as it was lame on left fore due to inflamed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of GORDIAN KNOT, reported that his mount was "hanging in", in the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination it was found to be having caps. Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was informed to take appropriate remedial measures before accepting with it again.




3rd Race: 60. The Sirsi Plate-Div.II-(About) 1100 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (8 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Narredu to withdraw ROCKING ROCK on veterinary grounds as it was lame on right fore due to inflammed tendon. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Md. Shafiq, the rider of EIGHTH WONDER, was reprimanded for coming in and inconveniencing TRAFALGAR SQUARE (F.K. Shabuddin) on his inside approaching the 900 Metres.

GRAND TOPAZ (Vinod Shinde) sustained a cut injury on right hind coronet.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g AMAR PREM.

4th Race: 61. The Sohna Stud Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85, 4 years old and over (8 Runners).

CART WHEEL (David Allan) sustained a cut injury on right hind bulb of heel.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SUGAR RAY.

5th Race: 62. The Sirsi Plate-Div.I-(About) 1100 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (9 Runners).

SHOT OF GOLD (Khurshad Alam) jumped awkwardly outwards from the starting gates and inconvenienced CORLEONE (C.D. Hayes) on the outside.

Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of GIVE ME THE MONEY, reported that he could not get a clear run approaching the 900 Metres due to the crowding of the field.

Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu, the rider of AMIABLE LADY, was reprimanded for using his whip beyond the point of shoulder.

CARNIVAL OF JOY (Samuel Fargeat) sustained gum injuries on upper jaw.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SUNNYLAND.

6th Race : 63. The Bangalore Turf Club Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. For Indian Horses 3 years old and over (6 Runners).

Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the Declaration of Weight in respect of his charge MARK OF GIBRALTAR.


Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the Scratching Form in respect of his charge CELESTIAL SON.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch h DIAMOND HUNTER.

7th Race: 64. The Kumararajah M.A.M. Muthiah Trophy - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).

Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu, the rider of MILAGRO, reported that he could not get a clear run in the early stages of the race due to a closely packed field.

Jockey M.J. Gautam Raj Urs, the rider of FREE GLIDER reported that he could not get a clear run during the early stages of the race due to a closely packed field.

Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of LUCKYNUMBERSLEVIN, was reprimanded for dropping his hands in the final 25 Metres.

PAINT ME RED (Vinod Shinde) sustained a cut injury on left hind pastern.

8th Race: 65. The Sohna Stud Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85, 4 years old and over (9 Runners).

Trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge DISTINCTLY AHEAD. Subsequently `all black' emergency colours were permitted to be used.

Jockey B.L. Paswan, the rider of ASTOUNDING BLUE, was reprimanded for coming in and inconveniencing NEEDOFTHEHOUR (Gaurav Sapra) on his inside approaching the 900 Metres.

Jockey B.L. Paswan, the rider of ASTOUNDING BLUE, was fined Rs.5,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount during the race.

Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was questioned regarding the improved performance of his charge VALID EXPECTATION (Ryan Marshall) the winner of this race as compared to its last run in Race No.40 of Bangalore Winter Meeting 2009-2010 held on 21-11-2009 when ridden by Jockey S. John it ran unplaced. The trainer stated that (a) last run of the horse on the 21st November was its first run after its run in Bangalore Summer Meeting 2009 during June; (b) in the last run over 1400 Metres the horse was in the front till about last 300 Metres and then gradually fell back; (c) during its last run the Penetrometer Reading was 5 cm with give in the ground and probably that was the reason for his horse folding in the last 300 Metres; (d) with the benefit of a run, on a good going, with 200 Metres less to travel, his horse managed to win the race today; and (e) that his charge always was better off over 1200 Metres. His explanations were noted.
