1st Race: 174. The Savadatti Plate-Div.II-(About) 1100 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (10 Runners)
Jockey David Allan, the rider of ELUSIVE WAY, reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f SUPREMACY.
2nd Race: 175. The Gumbaz Trophy - (About) 1600 Metres.
For horses rated 20 to 45 (8 Runners)
Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of ROYAL LEGEND, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in and causing severe interference to CLASSIC HOST (Vinod Shinde) on his inside approaching the 300 Metres.
Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of SHER DIL, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to SNOW PEAKS (Y.S. Srinath) on his inside in the final 100 Metres of the race.
3rd Race: 176. The Savadatti Plate-Div.I-(About) 1100 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (10 Runners)
REFORMATION (P.S. Chouhan) jumped awkwardly outwards, swerved towards left and did not raise a fluent gallop in the early part of the race. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
Jockey Harish, the rider of JEYEM, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to STORMYRED (C.D. Hayes) on his inside which in turn passed it on to LITTLE BISCUIT (Ryan Marshall) along the rails approaching the 700 Metres.
Jockey S. Guruprasad, the rider of FLYING TRICOLOUR, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the extravagant use of the whip whereby he struck the right arm of Jockey Samuel Fargeat, the rider of BUGATTI on his outside approaching the 200 Metres.
Jockey S. Guruprasad, the rider of FLYING TRICOLOUR, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
MOROVA GOODTIME (James Doyle) sustained a cut injury on right hind pastern.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch c STORMYRED.
4th Race: 177. The Doddaballapur Plate-(About) 1400 Metres. For Horses rated 00 to 25 (10 Runners)
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Amit Caddy to withdraw CASH IS KING (Gaurav Sapra).
LADZONE (Y.S. Srinath) was examined by the Club's Veterinary Officer before the start of the race at the gates and was found to be trotting lame on left fore due to sprained shoulder it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's Order.
AIM TO WIN (Harish) pulled up lame during the race; the rider having to dismount approaching the 200 Metres. After due examination, the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it had sustained fracture of left fore fetlock joint. Subsequent to the race day the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that the filly was euthanised at 10.45 a.m. on 14th February 2010.
PRETTY PEINTA (Mohammed Shoaib) sustained gum injury.
An enquiry is being held into the riding of Jockey Zia Akhtar on his mount SUMMER WINE (trained by Mr. J.S. Dhariwal ) in the above race.
Compulsory Sample was taken for analysis from b g CASH IS KING.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dkb g SOUTHERN
KING.
5th Race: 178. The R.W.I.T.C. Trophy - (About) 1400 Metres. For Horses rated 80 and above (8 Runners)
The Club's Veterinary Officer reported that on examination after the race it was observed that the right fore shoe of WESTERN COMMAND (David Allan) had apparently splayed during the race.
Jockey B.Prakash, the rider of STAR WAVE, reported that he could not get a clear run between 250 Metres and 150 Metres due to a closely packed field.
6th Race: 179. The Dashmesh Stud Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85, 5 years old & over (12 Runners)
Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was fined Rs.500/- for using a tongue strap on his charge STYLISH BAY (K. Chethana) without prior permission. Subsequently tongue strap was removed before the horse left the paddock.
Jockey Samuel Fargeat, the rider of DISTINCTLY AHEAD, reported that he could not get a clear run approaching the 1100 Metres due to the crowding of the field whereby his mount accidentally brushed the false rails passing the 1100 Metres.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of CLASSICAL DANCER, reported that his left reign slipped passing the 300 Metres which he regained passing the 250 Metres.
CAPRIOSKA (David Allan) drifted out under pressure during the final stages of the race.
Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was questioned regarding the relatively poor performance of his charge OWN VOICE (B. Prakash) in the above race as compared to its previous run in Race No.115 of BWM 2009-2010 i.e. The Jaggy Stud Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres, for horses rated 60 to 85, 5 years old and over at the time of starting, on 2nd January 2010 when ridden by the same rider it ran 3rd. The trainer stated that he himself was shocked at its poor performance and added that subsequent to the last run after being scoped, based on veterinary advise he used tongue strap on his charge and expected his charge to perform better but it did not happen. He added that he intended to remove the tongue strap and try it in a Mock Race with the permission of the authorities to assess its performance and behaviour. The Jockey B. Prakash when questioned stated that at no stage of the race the horse showed any interest and ran much below expectations. Their explanations were noted.

ROYAL BANK (P.S. Chouhan) sustained a cut injury on left hind fetlock.
7th Race: 180. The Ilkal Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old & over (10 Runners)
Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was fined Rs.2,000/- for declaring Jockey M.J. Gautam Raj Urs to ride SPARKLING ADVENTURE without the consent of the rider who had already accepted to ride CRACKERJACK in the above race. Subsequently he was permitted to declare Jockey Khurshad Alam to ride his charge SPARKLING ADVENTURE.
An enquiry is being held into the riding of Jockey Shanth Kumar on his mount MILAGRO (trained by Mr. V. Narayana Gowda) in the above race.
8th Race: 181. The A.V.R. Char Memorial Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 6 years old & over (10 Runners)
PAINT ME RED (Mohammed Shoaib) was very fractious in the gates and damaged its stall, slipped out of the gates and ran round the course riderless. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's Order.
Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of STRONG MINDED, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to ZAIOS (G. Adarsh) on his inside which had to be checked by its rider and shifted out thereby inconveniencing SUNNYLAND (Harish) and HIDALGO (S. Chandrashekar) on his outside passing the 1000 Metres.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g STRONG MINDED.
9th Race: 182. The Amazing Grey Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old & over (10 Runners)
Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was fined Rs.500/- for not obtaining prior permission to take his charge DARK HORSE to the starting gates in advance of the remainder of the field, as per the General Condition 20 of the prospectus of Bangalore Winter Meeting 2009-2010.
Jockey S. Guruprasad, the rider of ANNA'S QUEST, was fined Rs.1,000/- for traveling all the way on the outside of the field for no apparent reason.
Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of WESTERN PALACE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
An enquiry is being held into the improved performance of WESTERN PALACE (trained by Mr. Warren Singh and ridden by Jockey Y.S. Srinath) the winner of this race as compared to its previous run in race No.146 of Bangalore Winter Meeting 2009-2010 i.e. The Tiptur Plate Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres, for horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over, on 23rd January 2010, when ridden by Jockey Harish it ran unplaced.

ORDER OF THE BOARD OF APPEAL

Race No.29: The Fernhill's Palace Juvenile Million (Grade II) (About) 1400 Metres, for 3 year old Indian Horses (foaled in 2006)
The Board of Appeal at its Meeting held on Tuesday, 9th February 2010, considered the appeal dated 24th January 2010 filed by trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan against the Order of the Stewards in suspending his Trainer's Licence from 5-2-2010 to 4-3-2010 (both days inclusive) and fining him a sum of Rs.15,000/- for infringement of Medication Rules (in respect of his charge D'ARTAGNAN in the above race) as contained in BTC Calendar Notification under the heading "Medication and treatment of horses in Training and Racing and Anti-Doping Control" and further in terms of Rule X of the said Rules reading as follows: "The trainer is always responsible for the protection and security of the horse in his care. Trainers are warned that they will be held responsible if an examination of a horse, results in the finding of any prohibited substances".
The Board noted that pending the hearing and disposal of the appeal, the operation of the punishment imposed on trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan had been stayed by it up to and including 9th February 2010.
The Board considered the relevant Minutes of the Meeting of the Stewards and the Annexures thereto. The Board also considered the grounds of appeal made by trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan and the documents furnished by him as also the submissions made before it.
After deliberations, the Board decided to remand the case back to the Stewards of the Club for further hearing and further decision in the matter.
The Board further decided to stay the operation of punishment imposed on
trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan until the matter is further heard and disposed of by
the Stewards.
