1st Race: 191. The Talakaveri Plate-Div.II-(About) 1100 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (9 Runners)
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy to withdraw BRIDGE OF GOLD (Vinod Shinde) on veterinary grounds as it was walking lame on right hind due to sprained quarters. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda to deputise on behalf of trainer Mr. V. Lokanath who was unable to attend the above race.
2nd Race: 192. The Longchamp Plate - (About) 2200 Metres.
Horses rated 20 to 45 (5 Runners)
Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of GORDIAN KNOT, reported that his mount was lugging in under pressure during the final stages of the race.
GORDIAN KNOT (Vinod Shinde) sustained a cut injury on right hind cannon.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g SHOWERS OF LUCK.
3rd Race: 193. The Talakaveri Plate-Div.I-(About) 1100 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (11 Runners)
WERN TANGLAS (F.K. Shahbuddin) accidentally stumbled approaching the 700 Metres.
4th Race: 194. The Manipal Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 5 years old and over (11 Runners)
ORANGE ORCHARD (S. Rajesh) was very fractious in the gate, reared up and sat down and the Jockey was injured. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders.
ASTONICAL (G. Adarsh) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
YAMAGUCHI (Y.S. Srinath) sustained cut injury on right hind fetlock.
Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was questioned regarding the improved performance of his charge YAMAGUCHI (Y.S. Srinath), the winner of this race as compared to its previous run in Race No.89 i.e. The Nelamangala Plate-(About) 1400 Metres, for horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over of the BWM 2009-10, when ridden by Jockey Mohd. Kareem it ran unplaced on 19th December 2009. The trainer stated that (a) since its last run the horse was treated for lung infection at the Club's Veterinary hospital; (b) after due treatment the horse was given systematic work; (c) even in the work outs it did not show any exemplary performance; (d) with a sufficient gap of nearly 2 months he ran it today and gave it a decent chance to win the race; and (e) he himself was surprised of its good performance in the race today. His explanations were noted.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g YAMAGUCHI.
5th Race: 195. The P. Dayananda Pai & P. Satish Pai Bangalore Winter Million (Grade III)-(About) 1200 Metres. 3 year old Indian Horses (Foaled in 2007) (Terms) (7 Runners)
Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of CON ARTISTE, reported that he could not get a clear run approaching the 800 Metres due to a closely packed field.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of BALLIBAY, reported that his mount suddenly shied away from the railing at 500 Metres and inconvenienced SUNSPIRIT (Imran Chisty) on its outside.
CON ARTISTE (Neeraj Rawal) was running green throughout the race.
SUNSPIRIT (Imran Chisty) sustained a cut injury on right hock.
BALLIBAY (Suraj Narredu) sustained cut injury on right hind cannon.
Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following I, II and III placed horses viz:

6th Race: 196. The Bull Temple Trophy - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85 (12 Runners)
Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of INCREDIBLE, reported that his mount was lugging in after entering the straight under pressure.
Jockey David Allan, the rider of FROZEN FIRE, reported that his mount was running green throughout the race and stumbled approaching the 250 Metres.
DREAM PARK (Suraj Narredu) sustained a cut injury on right knee.
BUCEPHALAS (P.S. Chouhan) sustained a cut injury on right hind fetlock.
7th Race: 197. The Shravanabelagola Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (8 Runners)
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala to withdraw TANZANITE on veterinary grounds as it was walking lame on left hind due to sprained stifle. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
The Stewards ordered and held an enquiry into the running of the above Race with particular reference to the fall of Jockey Y.S. Srinath from his mount STILL WILL in the above race.
After due deliberations, the Stewards of BTC by virtue of the powers conferred under the BTC Rules of Racing decided to:
(a) Retain the results of the above Race.
(b) Declare all the bets with the totalisators pools and bets with bookmakers to
be null and void (Rule 31b)
(c) Refund all the bets made in totalisators and bookmakers in full in the above
race.
The Stewards also decided to further continue the enquiry into the fall of Jockey Y.S. Srinath on his mount STILL WILL in the above race.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c VIRTUOSO.
8th Race: 198. The Classic Story Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (12 Runners)
As Jockey Y.S.Srinath was certified medically unfit, permission was granted to trainer Mr. Amit Caddy to substitute Jockey David Allan to ride ROYAL PLAYER in place of the declared rider.
CINDY GIRL (M.J. Gautam Raj Urs) pulled up lame on left fore due to sprained fetlock joint. Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
9th Race: 199. The Shravanabelagola Plate-Div.II-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (10 Runners)
Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was questioned regarding the improved performance of his charge REGAL GLORY (David Allan), the winner of this race as compared to its previous run in Race No.105 i.e. Dr. S.K. Pillay Memorial Plate (about) 1200 Metres, horses rated for 40 to 65 of the BWM 2009-10 when ridden by Jockey K.P.G. Appu it ran unplaced on 1st January 2010. The trainer stated that (a) his charge had met with an accident during the last Winter Meeting 2008-09; (b) it raced only once during Bangalore Summer Meeting 2009; (c) it raced on the 1st January in Race No.105 after nearly 7 months wherein it was prominent till about the last 200 Metres and thereafter it gradually fell back; and (d) with the sufficient time gap and with the benefit of a run and in a relatively poor company it won the race today. His explanations were noted.
