1st Race: 264. The Dharwar Plate - Div.II - (About) 1100 Metres. Maiden
Indian Horses 3 years old only (9 Runners)
Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of CITRALI, reported that his mount was
running green during the race.
Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was questioned regarding the poor performance of his charge VELVET QUEEN (P.S.Chouhan) the favourite in the above race. The trainer stated that the horse had been working well during the gate practice and also was working well in the outer sand track three weeks back. He fancied his charge very strongly to win the race based on the work outs but he was shocked at the poor performance of his charge. The Jockey when questioned stated that his mount was running erratic till the final bend and gradually fell back thereafter. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported. While noting their explanations, trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was informed to take appropriate remedial measures as to the behaviour of the horse before accepting with it again.
HALO OF REVERENCE (J.H. Christopher) sustained a bleeding cut injury on right hind coronet.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from dk b f VELVET QUEEN.
2nd Race: 265. The Gulbarga Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 (12 Runners)
PLEASURE BITE (G.Y. Rajesh Babu) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. V. Lokanth was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch m SILVER PARIS.
3rd Race: 266. The Dharwar Plate - Div.I - (About) 1100 Metres. Maiden
Indian Horses 3 years old only (9 Runners)
Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was fined Rs.2,000/- for his negligence in not intimating the office in time about his charge RECHARGED having been gelded.
Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was fined Rs.2,000/- for his negligence in not intimating the office in time about his charge SPARKLING IMAGE having been gelded.
Trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge EVERYDAY SUNDAY. Subsequently `all black' emergency colours were permitted to be used.
SPARKPLUG (Zia Akhtar) broke down approaching the 100 Metres dislodging the rider. On examination it was found to have sustained fracture of left fore cannon bone and hence was euthanized.
4th Race: 267. The Haveri Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (10 Runners)
Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the declaration of weight in respect of his charge FIST OF RAGE.
Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the declaration of weight in respect of his charge BORN TO FLY.
Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the declaration of weight in respect of his charge SWIFT STAR.
Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the declaration of weight in respect of his charge CHERELLE.
Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.2,000/- for his negligence in not bringing his horse MONTEDORO for weighing before the race.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal to withdraw PORTATONE on veterinary grounds as it was lame on left fore due to inflamed hoof. Trainer was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
AMAZING PERFORMER (S. Chandrashekar) after jumping out was reluctant to raise a fluent gallop and ran detached from the field. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
FOREIGN EXCHANGE (P.S. Chouhan) sustained a cut injury on right hock.
5th Race: 268. The Jog Cup - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85 (10 Runners)
Jockey Vivek, the rider of STAR ASSEMBLY, was fined Rs.1,000/- for attempting to force a passage along the rails where there was insufficient room approaching the 800 Metres.
Jockey Ryan Marshall, the rider of TABLE MOUNTAIN, was fined Rs.1,000/- for dropping his hands before passing the winning post.
6th Race: 269. The Kudremukh Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (12 Runners)
Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of LADS GLADIATOR, reported that he could not get a clear run approaching the 900 Metres due to a tightly packed field.
Jockey K.Gopal Rao, the rider of YOURE A LEGEND, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not persevering with his mount during the race.
GAME DANCER (M.J. GautamRaj Urs) sustained a cut injury on left hock.
The Stewards ordered and held an enquiry after the last race into the gross negligence on the part of Trainer Mr. Warren Singh in not being personally present in the Paddock to receive the Trophy during the prize distribution ceremony. They examined trainer Mr. Warren Singh. After due deliberation, considering the unqualified apology tendered by trainer Mr. Warren Singh, they decided to fine him Rs.10,000/- for his gross negligence in not being personally present in the Paddock to receive the Trophy soon after the race during the prize distribution ceremony.
7th Race: 270. The Melkote Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (9 Runners)
THUMPING VICTORY (K.P.G. Appu) planted and lost few lengths at the Start.
In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. F. Sirajuddin was informed that he must not
accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the
Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.
Jockey J.H. Christopher, the rider of REFRESH, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not persevering with his mount during the race.
Jockey P. Mani, the rider of SEASONS GREETINGS, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of FLIP YOUR DESTINY, was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (2nd infringement).
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g DARK HORSE.
8th Race : 271. The Chickmagalur Plate - (About) 1400
Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, who have run at least twice under B.T.C. Rules
after 15th August, 2009 and not won a race at any center after that date (11
Runners)
Prior to the start of the race it was observed that IWANA DANCE (P.S. Chouhan) was lame on right fore. Hence it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's Orders. Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of SHOWERS OF LUCK, was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming in and inconveniencing the horses on his inside viz. PEARL OF BANGALORE (Khurshad Alam), TIROLINO (J.H. Christopher) and MAN DOWN UNDER (Vinod Shinde) on his inside soon after the start.

9th Race: 272. The Melkote Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (10 Runners)
Jockey K. Gopal Rao, the rider of DIFFERENT OPINION, was reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course passing the 200 Metres.
YOURE STUNNING (Suraj Narredu) drifted out under pressure during the final stages of the race.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m WIN PRETTYBABY.
