False Rails: Average width of 4.5 Metres from 1500 Metres to 1000 Metres and 8.5 Metres from 1000 Metres to the Winning Post.
1st Race: 124. The Ghataprabha Plate - (About) 1400 Metres Horses rated 00 to 25, 5 years old & over (9 Runners).
It was reported after the race that KALYAN (B. Sreekanth) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g SHOWERS OF LUCK.
2nd Race: 125. The Harangi Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85, 5 years old & over (9 Runners)
ON A ROLL (S. Ramesh) took a fly jump.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of BATON ROUGE, reported that he could not get a clear run approaching the 500 Metres due to a closely packed field whereby his mount brushed the false rails. The horse was observed to be hanging in after entering the straight, the rider having considerable difficulty in keeping his mount on an even course and ride out. Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
RUGGED BEAUTY (P.S. Chouhan) sustained a bleeding cut injury on right hind bulb of heel.
3rd Race: 126. The Harangi Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85, 5 years old & over (8 Runners)
Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the Starting Declaration in respect of his charge LOCK AND LOAD as regards shoeing.
Jockey Paul Mulrennan, the rider of SUNNY GOLD, reported that he could not get a clear run soon after jumping out of the starting gates due to the crowding of the field.
Jockey Naushad Alam, the rider of LOCK AND LOAD, reported that his mount accidentally stumbled approaching the 200 Metres.
BUCEPHALAS (P.S. Chouhan) sustained a cut injury on right hind fetlock.
An enquiry has been opened into the careless riding of Jockey A. Imran Khan on his mount WHAT A FRIEND in the above race.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g MIGHTY HEART.
4th Race: 127. The Native Chieftan Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old & over (11 Runners).
An enquiry has been opened into the careless riding of Jockey P.S. Chouhan
on his mount GOOD GIFT in the above race.
5th Race: 128. The Daria Daulat Trophy (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 80 and above (9 Runners).
It was reported after the race that STONE OF DESTINY (Vivek) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
6th Race : 129. The Karnataka Racehorse Owners' Association Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. 3 year old Indian Horses (foaled in 2008) based in Karnataka (terms) (4 Runners).
STARISTA (S. John) accidentally brushed the false rails approaching the 200 Metres.
Jockey Suraj Narredu the rider of MAD ABOUT YOU, was fined Rs.2,000/- for his negligence pertaining to `weighing in'.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of MAD ABOUT YOU, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
7th Race: 130. The Kanchanaganga Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over (12 Runners)
THE SENATOR (Suraj Narredu) jumped awkwardly inwards from the starting gates and inconvenienced VIRTUOSO (R. Vaideshwaran) on the inside which in turn passed it on to LESTER (B. Sreekanth).
Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of LESTER, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the improper use of the whip thereby not maintaining a straight course in the final 200 Metres.
MISTY MOONLIGHT (A. Imran Khan) suddenly shied away from the rails passing the 100 Metres.
It was reported after the race that KICKINGKING (Md. Shafiq) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
8th Race: 131. The Native Chieftan Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (11 Runners)
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of AMIABLE LADY, reported that he lost his right stirrup soon after the start which he regained within a few strides.
Jockey G. Adarsh, the rider of NECTAR CROWN, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not making sufficient effort to improve his position till entering the straight.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch m AMIABLE LADY.
9th Race: 132. The Ranganathittu Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners)
As Jockey G. Adarsh was certified medically unfit to ride after his ride in the 8th race, permission was granted to Jockey R. Vaideshwaran to ride HURRICANE ROYAL in place of the declared rider.
Jockey D. Patel, the rider of SECRETARY GENERAL, was reprimanded for dropping his hands before passing the winning post.

37. The Lalbagh Plate - Div. I (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65
The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on Friday, 14th January 2011, considered the appeal dated 30th December 2010 filed by Jockey Melvyn Maseyk against the decision of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., in suspending his Jockey's Licence from 15-1-2011 to 23-2-2011 and further referring him to the Stewards of B.T.C., for appropriate action for not permitting his mount NOBLE SACRIFICE to run on its merit {Rule No.159(a) & (b) of the B.T.C. Rules of Racing}.
They examined Jockey Melvyn Maseyk and Mr. Vishal Yadav, the trainer of the horse. After deliberations, they decided to:
(a) partially allow his appeal;
(b) treat the infringement committed by Jockey Melvyn Maseyk as unsatisfactory
riding (Rule No.161(ii) on his mount NOBLE SACRIFICE in the above race;
(c) consequently modify the punishment in that his Jockey's Licence shall be
suspended from 24-1-2011 to 16-2-2011 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory
riding (permitted to ride work); and
(d) refund the deposit of Rs.2,500/- paid by Jockey Melvyn Maseyk towards the
appeal fee.
