1st Race: 141. The Sriharikota Plate - (About) 1100 Metres Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (10 Runners).
As Jockey P.S. Chouhan could not fulfill his riding engagement for the day, permission was granted to trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj to substitute Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh to ride SHAHRAAN in place of the declared rider.
As Jockey Harish was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was
granted to trainer Mr. F.Sirajuddin to substitute Jockey K.P.G. Appu to ride WIN
AGAIN in place of the declared rider.
INTRIGUE (Sunny Chinnoy) reared up, and fell in the paddock wherby the jockey was injured and certified medically unfit to ride. Under the circumstances permission was granted to trainer Mr. Neil Darashah to withdraw the above horse from the above race.
FORMIDABLE QUEST (Mohammed Shoaib) dropped its rider on the way to the starting gates and ran anti-clockwise. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's Order.
SAGANAKI (S.A. DeSousa) stood flatfooted in the gates and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Jump Out on a starting gate practice day.
SPIFFY (David Allan) jumped and swerved towards the left. In view of its
behaviour trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was informed that he must not accept with
it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary
Stewards in one Jump Out on a starting gate practice day.
2nd Race: 142. The Jamuna Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 (11 Runners)
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan to withdraw STAR OF STARS on veterinary grounds as it was found to be suffering from fever. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
As Jockey S. Mallikarjun was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to substitute Jockey F.K. Shahbuddin to ride CUTE ANGEL in place of the declared rider.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Britto to substitute Jockey K.P.G. Appu to ride ABSENCE in place of the declared rider.
Jockey R. Vaideeshwaran, the rider of SPARK OF DIABLO, reported that he lost his left stirrup while jumping out of the gates which he regained within 100 Metres.
SUNNY SUPERBE (M. Mark) lost a few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Jump Out on a starting gate practice day.
Jockey F.K. Shahbuddin, the rider of CUTE ANGEL, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to FIRE STAR (B. Sreekanth) on his outside which in turn passed it on to HALO OF REVERENCE (Vinod Shinde) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of FIRE STAR, reported that his mount was lugging 'in' in the straight. Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
It was reported after the race that HURRICANE ROYAL burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f SUN FOREVER.
3rd Race: 143. The Vedavati Plate - (About) 2000 Metres Horses rated 20 to 45 (8 Runners).
Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the Starting Declaration in respect of his charge HAMSAFAR as regards shoeing.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj to substitute Jockey S. John to ride INDRAVATI in place of the declared rider.
Jockey S. John, the rider of INDRAVATI, was reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course during the final stages of the race.
Jockey Naushad Alam, the rider of ALLEZ VITE, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to NORTH CAPE (David Allan) on his outside during the final stages of the race.
BURDEN ON ME (F.K. Shabuddin) sustained a cut injury on left hind fetlock.
An enquiry is being held into the excessive use of whip by Jockey S. John the rider of INDRAVATI during the race.
4th Race: 144. The Kailash Plate - (About) 1400 Metres Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad to substitute Jockey Vivek to ride SMART EXOTIC in place of the declared rider.
BORN TO PERFORM (Naushad Alam) accidentally collided with the false rails passing the 800 Metres whereby the rider got unbalanced and was dislodged from his mount.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SMART EXOTIC.
5th Race: 145. The B.C. Prabhakar Memorial Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old & over (6 Runners)
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Narredu to withdraw BEST TIME on veterinary grounds as it was found to be walking lame on left fore due to sprained shoulder. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
As Jockey S. John was certified medically unfit to ride after his ride in the 3rd race, permission was granted to trainer Mr. J.S.Dhariwal to substitute Jockey M.A. Gallagher to ride MARIE CURIE in place of the declared rider.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. B. Puttanna to substitute Jockey Suraj Narredu to ride SWEET TIMER in place of the declared rider.
As Jockey Naushad Alam was certified medically unfit to ride after his fall in the 4th race and as no suitable substitute rider was available, permission was granted to trainer Mr. V. Lokanath to withdraw LEADING LADY from the above race.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of SWEET TIMER, reported that his mount was hanging `in' in the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported. However trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of SIMPLY PHENOMENAL, reported that he could not get a clear run from 300 Metres to 150 Metres due to a closely packed field.
6th Race: 146. The F.K. Irani Memorial Trophy (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 80 and above (11 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj to withdraw TIMELESS TREASURE on veterinary grounds as it was found to be walking lame on right fore due to sprained knee. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah to substitute Jockey Suraj Narredu to ride SPARK OF BRONTE in place of the declared rider.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Neil Darashah (deputizing for
trainer Mr.Z. Darashah) to substitute Jockey Valdir DeSousa to ride ASHKAN in
place of the declared rider.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Neil Darashah to substitute Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh to ride MY FRIEND PAUL in place of the declared rider.
It was reported after the race that RED RENEGADE (David Allan) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
THE SPARTAN (Ramesh Kumar) sustained a cut injury on right hock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g CLEAR MANDATE.
7th Race: 147. The Kollur Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (9 Runners)
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar to substitute Jockey A.Ashad Asbar to ride ANNA in place of the declared rider.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Neil Darashah to substitute Jockey M.A. Gallagher to ride JUNO in place of the declared rider.
Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for
contravention of General Condition 5 of the Prospectus of the BWM 2010-11in
accepting his charge HARD TO PIN DOWN to run on both the days i.e.:21st January
and 22nd January 2011 (since postponed) Subsequently it was withdrawn from the
above race.
8th Race: 148. The Altenberg Plate - (About) 1200 Metres Horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan to substitute Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh to ride SPARK OF NAPOLEON in place of the declared rider.
INTIZARA (N. Rajesh) was very fractious at the gates whereby the rider was injured. Under the circumstances it was withdran before coming under Starter's Order.
It was reported after the race that the right fore shoe of THE PHENOMENA (Vinod Shinde) had apparently splayed during the race.
THE PHENOMENA (Vinod Shinde) sustained cut injury on left hind cannon.

9th Race: 149. The Kollur Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (10 Runners)
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. V. Lokanath to withdraw DANCE TO THE TUNE as he could not get a suitable substitute Jockey in place of Jockey Naushad Alam.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi to substitute Jockey David Allan to ride CAMORRA in place of the declared rider.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Darius Byramji to substitute Jockey M.A. Gallagher to ride GLUTEUS MAXIMUS in place of the declared rider.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar to substitute Jockey A. Ahsad Asbar to ride GUNPOWDER in place of the declared rider.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. J.S.Dhariwal to substitute Jockey
B.Sreekanth to ride DAY TRADER in place of the declared rider.
Jockey A. Imran Khan, the rider of MYSTIC DAWN, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing GUNPOWDER (A. Ahsad Akbar) on his outside approaching the 500 Metres.
An enquiry is being held into the running and riding of SPARK OF SAPPHIRE Trained by Mr. Pradeep Annaiah and ridden by Jockey P. Mani.
