(False Rails : Average Width of 3 Metres from 1600 Metres to 1000 Metres and 6
Metres from 1000 Metres to the winning Post.)
1st Race: 87. The Kalinadi Plate -(About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (8 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Narredu to withdraw OCEAN PRINCE (F.K. Shabuddin) on veterinary grounds as it was suffering from colic. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
BEAT THE TRAFFIC (P.S. Chouhan) stood at the gates, swerved towards right and did not raise a fluent gallop. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
TRIGGER (Vinod Shinde) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
2nd Race: 88. The Haveri Plate - (About) 1100 Metres. Horses rated 00 to
25 (12 Runners).
As Jockey H.G. Rathod could not arrive to fulfill his riding engagement,
permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to substitute Jockey Ahsan
Qureshi to ride SWEET PERFORMER in place of the declared rider.
CORBETT QUEEN (C. Krishnan) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
DEAREST (Afsar) jumped out and ran towards the sand track. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
Jockey R. Pradeep, the rider of JEYEM, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to SWEET PERFORMER (Ahsan Qureshi) on his outside which in turn passed it on to SPLENDID DANCER (B. Sreekanth) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
Jockey N. Rajesh, the rider of TRILLSEEKER, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to SMART COOKY (V.R. Jagadeesh) on his inside approaching the 900 Metres.
Jockey S. Ramesh, the rider of PRINCESS COUP, was reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course in the last 250 Metres.
Jockey Ahsan Qureshi, the rider of SWEET PERFORMER, was reprimanded for suddenly shifting course towards the outside approaching the 250 Metres.
SPLENDID DANCER (B. Sreekanth) sustained gum injuries.
3rd Race: 89. The Royal Russian Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (7 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Narredu to withdraw SHOWERS OF
LUCK (F.K. Shahbuddin) on veterinary grounds as it was suffering from colic. He
was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's
Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
4th Race: 90. The Gulbarga Plate - (About) 1800 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (8
Runners).
It was observed that DEEP BLUE SKY (Suraj Narredu) could not get a clear run soon after the start due to the crowding of the field.
Jockey Paul Mulrennan, the rider of REZOOM, reported that his mount was hanging out throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of DEEP BLUE SKY, reported that his mount was inclined to run out approaching the 1600 Metres.
Jockey Paul Mulrennan, the rider of REZOOM, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
5th Race: 91. The Bharachukki Cup - (About) 1100 Metres. Maiden Indian horses 2 years old only (Terms)(12 Runners).
As Jockey C. Alford could not arrive to fulfill his riding engagement, permission was granted to trainer Mr. Darius Byramji to substitute Jockey S.A. DeSousa to ride ARACELI in place of the declared rider.
Jockey Vivek, the rider of DELTA DELIGHT, reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.
GLITTERING GIRL (Md. Shafiq) pulled up lame approaching the 700 Metres, the rider having to dismount. On immediate veterinary examination it was observed to have sustained fracture of right tibia. Under the circumstances it was euthanized.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f ARACELI.
6th Race: 92. The Dharwar Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12
Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to substitute Jockey Ahsan Qureshi to ride MAN UNITED in place of the declared rider.
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Valdir DeSousa, the rider of ROYAL SURPRISE to the Stewards for careless riding (Rule No.161(i)) of the BTC Rules of Racing in that he shifted in causing very severe interference to FANTABULOUS STAR (S. Ramesh) on his inside after rounding the final bend. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and examined Jockeys Valdir DeSousa and S. Ramesh. After deliberations they decided to (a) suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey Valdir DeSousa from 3-1-2011 to 12-1-2011 (both days inclusive) and fine him a sum of Rs.5,000/- for careless riding (Rule No.161(i)) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount ROYAL SURPRISE in the above race (permitted to ride work).
Subsequent to the above, the Stewards decided to fine Jockey Valdir DeSousa a sum of Rs.5,000/- for presenting himself before the Stewards for the enquiry with an improper attire and also fine Jockey S. Ramesh a sum of Rs.1,000/- for not being attired properly while presenting himself before the Stewards for the enquiry.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ANNA.
7th Race: 93. The Malpe Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Khurshad Alam, the rider of SACHIMORE to the Stewards for careless riding (Rule No.161(i)) of the BTC Rules of Racing in that he shifted in causing very severe interference to DANCE N CELEBRATE (Valdir DeSousa) on his inside approaching the 250 Metres. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and examined Jockeys Khurshad Alam and Valdir DeSousa. After deliberations they decided to suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey Khurshad Alam from 3-1-2011 to 14-1-2011 (both days inclusive) for careless riding (Rule No.161(i)) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount SACHIMORE in the above race (permitted to ride work).
Subsequent to the above, the Stewards decided to fine Jockey Khushad Alam a sum of Rs.1,000/- for not being attired properly while presenting himself before the Stewards for the enquiry.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ALLEZ VITE.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan to deputise on behalf
of trainer Mr. Amit Caddy who was unable to attend the races.

67. The Galloping Acres Stud Plate - (About) 1800 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85
The Stipendiary Stewards reported trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah to the
Stewards for negligence in discharge of his duties as a trainer thereby
contravening Rule No.114(b)(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing read with the Calendar
Notification under the heading "Saddling of horses" in that the saddle
on SPARK OF ATAN (P.S. Chouhan) shifted completely over the withers soon after
the start in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race on
24th December 2010 and examined trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah and Jockey P.S.
Chouhan. After deliberations, they decided to (a) fine trainer Mr. Pradeep
Annaiah Rs.10,000/- for negligence in discharge of his duties as a trainer
thereby contravening Rule No.114(b)(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing; and (b) note
the explanations tendered by Jockey P.S. Chouhan.
