The Badami Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (8 Runners). Permission was granted to trainer Mr. M.P. Mahaesh to withdraw CROWN VISION (R. Pradeep) on veterinary grounds as it was suffering from fever. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. RECHARGED (Y.S. Srinath) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced MOVES GOODENOUGH (A. Imran Khan) on the inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates. Jockey A. Imran Khan, the rider of MOVES GOODENOUGH, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to SOVIET MELODY (B. Sreekanth) on his inside approaching the 1000 Metres. It was reported after the race that SWIFT STAR (Suraj Narredu) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 2nd Race: 95. The Hyderabad Silver Vase -(About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 2 years old only (foaled in 2008) (Terms) (5 Runners). Jockey A. Imran Khan, the rider of MAGNITUDE, was reprimanded for exulting just before passing the winning post. Jockey C.D. Hayes, the rider of CAPOTE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement). 3rd Race: 96. The Kakanakote Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 (11 Runners). Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Karan Singh to withdraw BRIDGE OF GOLD (A. Imran Khan) on veterinary grounds as it was suffering from fever. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of KUNIGAL STAR, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to JACK O LANTERN (P.S. Chouhan) on his inside approaching the 1200 Metres. Jockey Md. Akbar, the rider of THUNDERING DON, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to SUKANTI (Md. Shafiq) on his inside approaching the 250 Metres. 4th Race: 97. The Badami Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (7 Runners). Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Narredu to withdraw STAR PRESENCE on veterinary grounds as it was suffering from fever. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. A MOVE TO REMEMBER (P. Mani) reared up as the gates opened and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Jump Out on a Starting Gate Practice Day. Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of CITRALI, placed Third by the Judge objected against Jockey B.L. Paswan, the rider of MONTEDORO placed First for "squeezing me and bumping me between 300 Metres and 200 Metres whereby causing my filly to be unbalanced, momentarily losing my stride, which cost me a certain Second Place". The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and examined the Jockeys Y.S. Srinath, C.D. Hayes and B.L. Paswan. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection. The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey B.L. Paswan, the rider of MONTEDORO to the Stewards for careless riding (Rule No.161(i)) of the BTC Rules of Racing in that he shifted in causing severe interference to CITRALI (Y.S. Srinath) which in turn passed it on to SUPREMACY (C.D. Hayes) on his inside approaching the 200 Metres. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and examined Jockey B.L. Paswan. After deliberations they decided to (a) suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey B.L. Paswan from 4-1-2011 to 14-1-2011 (both days inclusive); and (b) fine him a sum of Rs.5,000/- for careless riding (Rule No.161(i)) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount MONTEDORO in the above race (permitted to ride work). 5th Race: 98. The Amathos Plate - Div.I - (About) 1100 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (9 Runners). Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar to withdraw SKY MARSHALL on veterinary grounds as it was suffering from colic. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala to withdraw LAD DIVA on veterinary grounds as it was suffering from colic. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 6th Race: 99. The Topmost Cup - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 80 and above (10 Runners). Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi to withdraw SPEARHEAD on veterinary grounds as it was suffering from fever. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of SYSTEMATIC, was fined Rs.1,000/- for his negligence to duly follow the pre race parade formalities. Jockey M. Kumar, the rider of CAMELOT, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to FLAMING LAMBORGINI (K.P.G. Appu) on his outside approaching the 1400 Metres. An enquiry is being held into the running and riding of CRIMINAL LAWYER trained by Mr. Irfan Ghatala and ridden by Jockey S. Selvaraj. SYSTEMATIC (Vinod Shinde) sustained a bleeding cut injury on left hind tendon. Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b g CAMELOT. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f OBAN. 7th Race: 100. The Kollegal Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old & over (8 Runners). Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the Starting Declaration in respect of his charge MODERN ART as regards the rider. Subsequently Jockey David Allan was declared. Permission was granted to trainer S. Narredu to withdraw SIMPLY PHENOMENAL (V.R. Jagadeesh) on veterinary grounds as it was suffering from colic. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. It was reported after the race that GLITTERATO (Md. Shafiq) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. WHAT A FRIEND (S. The Board of Appeal at their meeting held on Thursday, 23rd December 2010 considered the appeal dated 8-12-2010 submitted by trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar against the decision of the Stewards in suspending the trainer's Licence granted to him from 13-12-2010 to 12-1-2011 and fining him a sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) for infringement of Medication Rules (in respect of his charge b m WIN PRETTYBABY) as contained in BTC Calendar Notification under the heading "Medication and treatment of horses in Training and Racing and Anti-Doping Control" reading as follows: "The trainer is always responsible for the protection and security of the horse in his care. The trainers are warned that they will be held responsible if an examination of a horse, results in the finding of any prohibited substances". The Board noted that pending disposal of the appeal the punishment had been stayed. The Board examined trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar. After deliberations, the Board decided to (a) reject the Appeal filed by trainer Mr.R.V. Manohar; (b) for Contravention of Calendar Notification pertaining to Medication Rules in respect of his charge WIN PRETTY BABY during Random Testing for Anabolic Steroids and Sex Hormones at Bangalore on 18-3-2010, his Trainer's Licence shall stand suspended with effect from 27-12-2010 to 26-1-2011 (both days inclusive) and the fine of Rs.15,000/- shall stand; and (c) the appeal fee of Rs.2,500/- paid by him be forfeited.
