1st Race: 187. The Kumta Plate- (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (8 Runners)

Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of STAR OF STARS, was fined Rs.3,000/- for coming in and taking the ground of FIRE STAR (Imran Chisty) which was checked by its rider, further ARIANA (Vivek) which was moving from behind struck the front runner FIRE STAR (Imran Chisty) and stumbled dislodging its rider approaching the 1500 Metres. He was further cautioned that a repetition of similar manner of riding would entail him being reported to the Stewards for severe disciplinary action.

Jockey N. Rajesh, the rider of BORN TO PERFORM, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and taking out FIRE STAR (Imran Chisty) which in turn passed it on to COWBOY CAL (P.S. Chouhan) rounding the final bend.

2nd Race: 188. The Bandipur Trophy-Div.II-(About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners)

ASTRO MAGIC (A. Ashok Kumar) ran detached from the field. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination it was reported to have pulled up lame on right hind due to sprained stifle. Trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey B.L. Paswan, the rider of SHAHIZAAR, was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.

It was reported after the race that SKY MARSHAL (Suraj Narredu) had apparently lost its left fore shoe during the race.

3rd Race: 189. The Longchamp Plate- (About) 1800 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (7 Runners)

Jockey N. Harsha, the rider of SARANG, was fined Rs.5,000/- for suddenly checking his mount and dropping back for no apparent reason approaching the 650 Metres whereby SEVEN STAR (N. Rajesh) and ROYAL PRODIGY (Valdir DeSousa) which were travelling directly behind had to be checked by their respective riders.

SARANG (N. Harsha) sustained a cut injury on left hind coronet.

4th Race: 190. The Madhavanagar Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (12 Runners)

ROYAL FORTUNE (S. Rajesh) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced CAPOTE (C.D. Hayes) on its outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

CARRUS (P.S.Chouhan) sustained a cut injury on left gaskin.

5th Race: 191. The Bandipur Trophy - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners)

Jockey S. Mallikarjun, the rider of MAN UNITED, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to the horses on his inside viz. MERCUTIO (P.S. Chouhan), CHAMPS ELYSEES (F.K. Shabuddin) and HEAT HAZE (M. Rajesh Kumar) approaching the 1000 Metres.

Jockey Santosh Kumar Das, the rider of SKY GLIDER, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight course thereby inconveniencing BLACK SUPER STAR (K. Chethana) approaching the 100 Metres.

Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of MERCUTIO, reported that his mount was hanging in, in the straight. Trainer Mr. S. Dominic was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Jockey S. Selvaraj, the rider of SUN DORO, was reprimanded in the presence of trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala as to the handling of his mount especially during the final stages of the race. He was further informed that in view of the fact that he had won the race, no further action was taken but for which he would have been reported to the Stewards for severe disciplinary action. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was cautioned to be more judicious in selection of riders for his charges in future.

6th Race: 192. The S. Rangarajan Memorial Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. For Horses rated 80 and above (11 Runners)

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala to withdraw ADVANTAGE LOGAN (S. Selvaraj) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on left hind due to inflamed fetlock. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey N. Rajesh, the rider of LADY DUFF, reported that his mount was hanging out in the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported. However trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of OPTIMUS PRIME, reported that his mount was hanging in, in the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination it was found to have sharp molars on both sides. Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was fined Rs.2,000/- for his negligence.


7th Race: 193. The Brindavan Garden Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (10 Runners)

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of NEVER SAY GOODBYE, reported that his mount was hanging in throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported. However, trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

It was reported after the race that AIRPLAY (C.D. Hayes) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f KARISINI.

8th Race: 194. The Dharmasthala Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners)

INTIZARA (N. Rajesh) was extremely fractious and refused to be stalled. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's Order.

STAR OF DESIRE (R. Pradeep) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced CHHOTA BHEEM (Khurshad Alam) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

A GAME TO REMEMBER (M.J. Gautam Raj Urs) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Jockey Valdir DeSousa, the rider of BACK AMONG FRIENDS, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to THRILL SEEKER (P.S. Chouhan) on his outside rounding the final bend.

Jockey Harish, the rider of SPARK OF NAPOLEON, reported that he could not get a clear run approaching the 350 Metres due to a closely packed field.

Jockey C.D. Hayes, the rider of HABANERO, reported that his mount was running green throughout the race whereby it suddenly dived in approaching the 1000 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported. However, trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

9th Race: 195. The Siddaganga Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old & over (12 Runners)

YOU'RE WONDERFUL (N. Rajesh) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped TRUE IMPRESSION (Suraj Narredu) on its inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.


SPRING A SURPRISE (Khurshad Alam) stumbled approaching the 300 Metres dislodging the rider and rolled on to MR PRESIDENT (B. Sreekanth) along the rails which had to be severely checked by its rider. On immediate veterinary examination it was reported to have sustained fracture of left fore fetlock joint. Hence it was euthanised.

Jockey N. Harsha, the rider of LESTER was fined Rs.2,000/- for traveling wide from 800 Metres till rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.

It was reported after the race that MR PRESIDENT (B. Sreekanth) pulled up stiff on both hind and back. Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda (deputizing for trainer Mr. V. Lokanath) was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
