1st Race: 253. The Mercara Plate - Div.III - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (10 Runners)
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to withdraw STYLE OF SIGNTURE (M. Mark) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on right fore due to sprained tendon. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
ROYAL FORTUNE (Ramandeep S. Bal) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced INDIAN PRIDE (A. Ashhad Asbar) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
Jockey D. Patel, the rider of CELTIC WARRIOR, reported that his mount was hanging out after rounding the final bend. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported. However, trainer Mr. Karan Singh was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
2nd Race: 254. The Banavasi Plate - (About) 1800 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over (7 Runners)
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. M.P. Mahaesh to withdraw TRUE IMPRESSION (Valdir DeSousa) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on left fore due to sprained suspensory. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was fined Rs.3,000/- for not observing the pre-race paddock formalities pertaining to his charge NATIVE TALENT (P.S. Chouhan).
Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of NATIVE TALENT, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 300 Metres.
SHOWERS OF LUCK (K.P.G. Appu) sustained a cut injury on right hind fetlock.
3rd Race: 255. The Mercara Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (11 Runners)
BEAU SANCY (P.S. Chouhan) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced FOLKLORE (Vivek) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
Jockey Ramandeep S. Bal, the rider of ANGAD, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to HACKETT (Valdir DeSousa) on his inside approaching the 200 Metres.
DIVINE CASTLE (V.R. Jagadeesh) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
4th Race: 256. The Mercara Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (11 Runners)
RAINBOW SKY (C. Alford) took a fly jump.
Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of RAPPADAN GLORY, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to LIVING LEGEND (S. Mallikarjun) on his outside which in turn passed it on to RAINBOW SKY (C. Alford) passing the 1100 Metres.
RAPPADAN GLORY (P.S. Chouhan) accidentally stumbled passing the 600 Metres.
RAINBOW SKY (C. Alford) sustained bleeding cut injury on right fore cannon.
RAPPADAN GLORY (P.S. Chouhan) sustained a cut injury on right hind fetlock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis form the winner b f CHEMIN DE FER.
5th Race: 257. The Charmudi Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 (12 Runners)
Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of SEGOMO, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and inconveniencing BURNING AMBITIONS (N. Rajesh) on his inside approaching the 250 Metres.
It was observed that Jockey N. Rajesh, the rider of BURNING AMBITIONS momentarily lost his right rein approaching the 300 Metres which he regained within a few strides and in the process he came out and inconvenienced SEGOMO (K.P.G. Appu) on his outside.
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of SUKANTI to the Stewards for unsatisfactory riding (Rule No.161(ii)) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and examined trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj, Mr. S. Marshall, spokesman for Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh and Jockey V.R.Jagadeesh himself. After deliberations they decided as follows:
(a) to note the explanations tendered by trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj
(b) should the Jockey's Licence be granted to Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh for the
season 2011-2012 the same shall remain suspended from 11-5-2011 to 18-5-2011
(both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding (Rule No.161(ii)) of the BTC
Rules of Racing) on his mount SUKANTI in the above race (permitted to ride
work).
6th Race: 258. The Vijayanagar Trophy - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (12 Runners)
ITS MY PARTY (Valdir DeSousa) sustained a deep cut injury on left hind fetlock joint.
7th Race: 259. The Sandur Trophy - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85 (12 Runners)
Jockey N. Ramesh Kumar, the rider of FLYING TRICOLOUR, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not wearing the goggles during the race.
Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of ACCURATE, was fined Rs.2,000/- for the improper use of whip whereby he allowed his mount to drift out in the last 200 Metres.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b c CAMORRA.
8th Race: 260. The Vijayanagar Trophy - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (12 Runners)
It was reported after the race that STORM CHASER (Mohd. Ghouse) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mahmood Khan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was find Rs.5,000/- for the inordinate delay in arriving in the paddock to fulfill the paddock formalities in respect of his charge A MOVE TO REMEMBER (K. Chethana).
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f FLORIDA.
9th Race: 261. The Bhatkal Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (11 Runners)
FORESIGHT (V.R. Jagadeesh) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. M.P. Mahaesh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
PRITVI (B. Sreekanth) stumbled approaching the 900 Metres dislodging its rider.
PRITVI (B. Sreekanth) sustained a cut injury on right fore cannon.
YOURE CHILUBULI (N. Rajesh) susta ined a cut injury on right hock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g YOURE CHILUBULI.
10th Race: 262. The Vibrant Plate - (About) 1100 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners)
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala to substitute Jockey R. Vaideeshwaran to ride SUNDAY PUNCH in place of the declared rider.
SACHIMORE (M. Noornabi) took a fly jump.
Jockey Valdir DeSousa, the rider of STAR OF DESIRE, was fined Rs.2,000/-
for shifting in and causing interference to COOL WHISTLE (G. Adarsh) which in
turn passed it on to FOSWELL (N. Rajesh) on his inside approaching the
1000Metres.
Jockey Vivek, the rider of LEGEND REBORN was fined Rs.5000/- for not making
sufficient effort on his mount during the race.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey S. Selvaraj, the rider of HILL RISING to the Stewards for unsatisfactory riding (Rule No.161(ii)) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race on 26th March 2011 and examined trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala, Mr. S. Marshall, spokesman for Jockey S. Selvaraj and Jockey S. Selvaraj himself. After deliberations they decided as follows:
(a) to note the explanations tendered by trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala
(b) should the Jockey's Licence be granted to Jockey S. Selvaraj for the season
2011-2012, the same shall remain suspended from 11-5-2011 to 5-6-2011 (both days
inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding (Rule No.161(ii)) of the BTC Rules of
Racing) on his mount HILL RISING in the above race (permitted to ride work).
