HEART OF GOLD (B. Sreekanth) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced CASH THE CHEQUE (M. Mark) and SEGOMO (Chetan Kakay S) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
Jockey S.R. Santosh Kumar, the rider of SPARK OF PASSION was reprimanded for travelling wide rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.

Jockey Harish, the rider of SENSATIONAL MOVER, was reprimanded for travelling wide rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.
Jockey K. Raja Rao, the rider of FOREST SPIRIT, was reprimanded for travelling wide rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.
It was observed that Jockey K. Raja Rao, the rider of FOREST SPIRIT, lost his whip approaching the 200 Metres.
Jockey A.R. Pradeep, the rider of PARANJYOTHY, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight course in the final 150 Metres thereby inconveniencing STORM THE FIELD (Vivek) on his outside.
Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of SERENGETI, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 100 Metres.
Jockey R. Koch, the rider of ONE FROM A BILLION, was fined Rs.1,000/- for
not sufficiently persevering with his mount during the race.
5th Race: 127. The Ghataprabha Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated
00 to 25 (11 Runners).
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Tharun Thimmaiah to withdraw VIVA DIVA (Imran Chisty) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on right fore due to sore shin and inflammed cannon bone. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey A. Ramu, the rider of BOUNTY HUNTER, was fined Rs.5,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount during the race.
Jockey Mudassar Nazar, the rider of ROYAL MUSIC, was fined Rs.5,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount during the race.
Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of POLE POSITION, was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.
It was reported after the race that AMAZING PERFORMER (Irvan Singh) pulled up lame on left fore due to sprained fetlock joint. Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

8th Race: 130. The Chief Minister's Trophy - (About) 2000 Metres. 4 years old and over at the time of starting (9 Runners).
Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of ORDAINED ONE, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to FAR FROM OVER (P.S. Chouhan) on his outside and again for shifting in and causing interference to SUNNYS SECRET (Imran Chisty) on his inside approaching the 350 Metres.
Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of SUNNYS SECRET, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the improper use of whip on his mount thereby allowing it to drift out in the final 200 Metres of the race.
Jockey Anthony Crastus, the rider of ARABIAN PRINCE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of ORDAINED ONE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
Jockey Harish, the rider of ELITE LAND, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
ORDAINED ONE (B. Sreekanth) sustained a cut injury on right hind pastern.
9th Race: 131. The Harangi Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85, 5 years old & over (12 Runners)
As Jockey B. Sreekanth was certified medically unfit to ride after his fall after the 8th race, permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy to substitute Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh to ride GOLDEN QUEST in place of the declared rider.
Jockey B.L. Paswan, the rider of SUNSTORM, was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming in and causing interference to MAGNITUDE STAR (J.H. Christopher) on his inside approaching the 200 Metres.
Jockey A.R. Pradeep, the rider of MAKE MY DAY, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing ADONIS (Samuel Fargeat) on his outside approaching the 200 Metres.
Jockey J.H. Christopher, the rider of MAGNITUDE STAR, reported that his mount was hanging out in the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported. However trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed to take appropriate remedial measures before accepting with it again.
10th Race: 132. The Native Chieftan Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (10 Runners)
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj to withdraw WILD NEXUS (P. Mani) on veterinary grounds at 4.45 p.m. as it was found to have sustained a cut injury on left hock. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
SON OF THE SUN (G. Adarsh) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced TRIBAL QUEEN (A. Ashok Kumar) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
INTIZARA (Imran Chisty) planted and did not take any part in the race. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. G. Nityanand was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in two Mock Races on race days on the race track.
TRIBAL QUEEN (A. Ashok Kumar) sustained a cut injury on left hock.
11th Race: 133. The Kanchanganga Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old & over (11 Runners).
CAPTAIN'S LOVER (Vivek) was examined by the Club's Veterinary Officer at the starting gates and found to have sustained cut injuries on left hock and left elbow. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's orders. Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
MR. PRESIDENT (Md. Akbar) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
Jockey Anjar Alam, the rider of SUNSET GRILL, was fined Rs.2,000/- for the improper practice of hitting his mount with his hands.
Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of FIST OF RAGE, reported that his mount was hanging in, in the final 200 Metres thereby inconveniencing SUNSET GRILL (Anjar Alam) and SMART EXOTIC (Samuel Fargeat) on his inside. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported. However trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao was informed to take appropriate remedial measures before accepting with it again.
It was reported after the race that MR PRESIDENT (Md. Akbar) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

70. The Bangalore 2000 Guineas (Grade II) - (About) 1600 Metres. For 3 year old Indian Horses (Foaled in 2008) (Terms) .
The Board of Appeal at its meeting held on Thursday, 12th January 2012, considered the appeal dated 17th December 2011 filed by Jockey Ryan Marshall against the decision of the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., in suspending his Jockey's licence from 28-12-2011 to 26-1-2012 for dangerous riding on his mount MOUNTAIN RANGE in the above race.
The Board noted that the punishment imposed by the Stewards had been stayed till the hearing and disposal of the appeal.
The Board examined Mr. Zeyn Mirza, Spokesman for Jockey Ryan Marshall and the Jockey himself. After deliberations, the Board decided as follows:
(a) To partially allow the appeal filed by Jockey Ryan Marshall.
(b) To modify the period of punishment in that the suspension of his Jockey's licence shall be from 14-1-2012 to 27-1-2012 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work).
(c) To forfeit the deposit made by Jockey Ryan Marshall towards the appeal
fee.
