1st Race: 134. The Ullal Beach Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres Horses rated 00 to 25 (9 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda to withdraw ARC ANGEL on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on left fore due to sprained tendon (inflammed). He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

ANGEL QUEEN (N. Ramesh Kumar) jumped out awkwardly from the starting gates.

Jockey Vivek, the rider of SUN RICH, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing SANFRANCISCO GIRL (P Mani) on his outside approaching the 700 Metres.

Jockey Vivek, the rider of SUN RICH, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in and causing severe interference to HATCHET HARRY (C. Rajendra) and SUPREME REGENT (Harish) on his inside approaching the 300 Metres.

Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of JAVANICA, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to the horses on his inside viz. HATCHET HARRY (C. Rajendra) and SUPREME REGENT (Harish) passing the 200 Metres.

Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of JAVANICA, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to the horses on his inside viz. SUN RICH (Vivek), CUTE ANGEL (J.H. Christopher) and SHINING FAME (K.P.G. Appu) approaching the 150 Metres.

SUN RICH (Vivek) sustained a cut injury on left hind pastern.

ANGEL QUEEN (N. Ramesh Kumar) sustained a cut injury on left fore cannon.

SANFRANCISCO GIRL (P. Mani) sustained a bleeding cut injury on right knee.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f JAVANICA.

2nd Race: 135. The Kokkarebellur Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (8 Runners)

ONE TIME MAGIC (A. Ramu) was extremely fractious in the starting gates. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders.

Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of VIOLENT STORM, was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (2nd infringement).

LADY GAGA (Suraj Narredu) sustained a cut injury on right hind cannon.

VIOLENT STORM (P.S. Chouhan) sustained a cut injury on right fore cannon.

3rd Race: 136. The Ullal Beach Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres Horses rated 00 to 25 (11 Runners).

Trainer Mr. M.P. Mahaesh was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge SOUND OF POWER (A.R. Pradeep). Subsequently `all black' emergency colours were permitted to be used.

NARNIA (Khurshad Alam) planted, did not raise a fluent gallop and ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Jockey K. Raja Rao, the rider of WINGS OF FLAME, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not sufficiently persevering with his mount during the race.

It was reported after the race that HILL COUNTRY (Anjar Alam) pulled up lame on left fore (4.22 p.m.) and sustained a cut injury on right knee. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b f HILL COUNTRY.

4th Race: 137. The Kokkarebellur Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (7 Runners)

CAT LOGAN (Anjar Alam) was extremely fractious in the starting gates. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders.

YAMAS (M. Mark) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

5th Race : 138. The Karnataka Racehorse Owners' Association Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. 3 year old Indian Horses (foaled in 2009) based in Karnataka (Terms) (8 Runners).

POOL PLAY (M.A. Milan) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced PACK UR BAGS (Vivek) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

SMART STAR (Harish) suddenly shied away and inconvenienced the horses on his outside viz. POINT TAKEN (P.S. Chouhan), SIMPLY SUPER (Imran Chisty) and PRESIDENTS RULE (C. Rajendra) approaching the 1000 Metres.

Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of RED ADMIRAL, reported that he could not get a clear run approaching the 800 Metres due to a closely packed field.

POOL PLAY (M.A. Milan) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

6th Race: 139. The Flashing Star Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (12 Runners)

Jockey H.G. Rathod, the rider of SOUTHERN KING, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and taking out SOUND BET (S. Shiva Kumar) on his outside while rounding the final bend.

Jockey S. Shiva Kumar, the rider of SOUND BET, was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.

SOUND BET (S. Shiva Kumar) sustained a cut injury on right hind coronet.

SAVVY CONCEPT (Imran Chisty) sustained a cut injury on left hock.

Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of SPARK OF DIABLO, was fined Rs.3,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount during the race.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to the Stewards for the inconsistent pattern of running and reversal of form of his charge dkb g SOUTHERN KING the winner of the above Race, as compared to its previous run in Race No.110 of the Bangalore Winter Meeting 2011-12, i.e., The Amber Regent Plate - (About) 1600 Metres, for horses rated 20 to 45, run on Saturday, 31st December, 2011, when ridden by Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, it ran unplaced. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race on Saturday, 21st January, 2012 and examined Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar. After deliberations, they decided to fine trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar a sum of Rs.10,000/- for the inconsistent pattern of running and reversal of form of his charge, dkb g SOUTHERN KING the winner of the above Race, as compared to its previous run in Race No.110 of the Bangalore Winter Meeting 2011-12, i.e., The Amber Regent Plate - (About) 1600 Metres, for horses rated 20 to 45, run on Saturday, 31st December, 2011, when ridden by Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, it ran unplaced.

7th Race: 140. The Chatrapathi Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85 (10 Runners)

CURRENT RAY (Suraj Narredu) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of ROMANCE IN THE AIR, to the Stewards for unsatisfactory riding [Rule No.161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing] in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and examined Trainer Mr. Warren Singh and Jockey K.P.G. Appu. After deliberations, they decided to (a) fine trainer Mr. Warren Singh Rs.10,000/- for the unsatisfactory explanations tendered during the enquiry; and (b) suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey K.P.G. Appu from 30-1-2012 to 22-2-2012 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding [Rule No.161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing] on his mount ROMANCE IN THE AIR in the above Race (permitted to ride work).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f SOVETSKAYA.

8th Race: 141. The Altenburg Plate - (About) 1200 Metres Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners).

ASTONISHING (Anthony Crastus) was very fractious while being paraded in the paddock and sustained a fall. Hence it was permitted to be withdrawn

DREAM RUNNER (Vivek) jumped and swerved towards the right, did not raise a fluent gallop in the first 100 Metres of the race. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Jockey K. Raja Rao, the rider of PRINCE CHARMING, was fined Rs.1,000/- for travelling wide rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.

It was observed that SUPER SPRINT (C. Krishnan) slipped on its hind legs and dislodged the rider approaching the 800 Metres. On immediate examination, it was found to have sustained fracture of right hind (tibia). Hence it was euthanized.

Jockey T. Bernard, the rider of YOURE CHILUBULI, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 150 Metres.

It was reported after the race that RED BOLT (M. Noornabi) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. S. Dominic was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. F.Sirajuddin to deputise on behalf of trainer Mr. J.S. Pillay who was unable to attend the races.
