1st Race: 39. The Saddle Up Plate Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners).

Jockey J.H. Christopher, the declared rider of GORGEOUS GOLD, was certified medically unfit to ride and no suitable substitute rider was available. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn.

WONDER LASH (R. Anand) was extremely fractious on the way to the starting gates and refused to proceed to the starting gates despite best efforts. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's order.

SHAHRAAN (Md. Akbar) planted, reared up and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

HURRICANE SECRET (Nasir Imam) planted, lost many lengths and ran detached from the field thereafter. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and was found to have pulled up lame on left fore due to sprained tendon. Trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. He was also informed that in view of its behaviour he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f LADSTAR.

2nd Race: 40. The Ashoka Chakra Cup - (About) 1800 Metres. Horses rated 80 and above (6 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur to substitute Jockey Vivek to ride FAR FROM OVER in place of Jockey J.H. Christopher, the declared rider.

Jockey Vivek, the rider of FAR FROM OVER, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st Infringement).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f CROWN EMPRESS.

3rd Race: 41. The Belgaum Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over (11 Runners).

Jockey A. Feroz, the rider of ANNA, was reprimanded for coming in and inconveniencing CLICK (Md. Akbar) which in turn passed it on to TAKE MY WORD (Vivek) along the rails approaching the 900 Metres.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f SUNSET GRILL.

4th Race : 42. The Linganamakki Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 (12 Runners).

Jockey Jorge Horcajada , the rider of MOLLY MALONE, was fined Rs.5,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount during the race.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f COOL WHISTLE.

5th Race: 43. The Udupi Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (10 Runners).

YAMAGUCHI (Vinod Shinde) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Jockey Ryan Marshall, the rider of TOO COLD TO HOLD, reported that his saddle shifted back soon after jumping out of the starting gates as such he could not offer any assistance to his mount throughout the race. After examination of the equipment after the race, trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling.

Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi and Jockey Anthony Crastus were questioned regarding the running and riding of CHANTILLY in the above race. The trainer stated that (a) since the rider had been regularly working this horse during track work, he had instructed him to ride his own race; (b) the horse was running after a break i.e. after its run in Hyderabad during August 2011 in the Fillies Championship Stakes where it finished last; (c) as per his observations the horse was inclined to lug in badly at the early stages of the race and also in the last 300 Metres which was confirmed by the rider after the race; and (d) under the circumstances he could not take any exception to the riding of his charge. The rider explained that the horse was lugging in very badly from the start and he had considerable difficulty in keeping it on an even course. While their explanations were noted the horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi was informed to take appropriate remedial measures before accepting with it again.

6th Race: 44. The Belgaum Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over (10 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to withdraw SMOOTH GLIDER on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on right hind due to inflammed hock. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of SCARLET KNIGHT, was fined RS.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to AILSA (Mudassar Nazar) on his inside which in turn passed it on to CORLEONE (T. Bernard) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

Jockey Sahanawaz, the rider of SHUDDERING, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to SPARK OF HARMONY (S. Selvaraj) on his inside which had to be checked by its rider and shifted out thereby taking out the horses on his outside viz. AILSA (Mudassar Nazar) and CORLEONE (T. Bernard) approaching the 1000 Metres.

Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of ENDURANCE, reported that his mount was hanging in after entering the straight. Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

CASH IS KING (M. Mark) sustained cut injury on right hind coronet.

7th Race: 45. The Bangalore 1000 Guineas (Grade II) - (About) 1600 Metres. 3 year old Indian Fillies (foaled in 2008) (Terms) (6 Runners).

As Jockey B. Prakash could not arrive to fulfill his riding engagement, permission was granted to trainer Mr. G. Nityanand deputizing for trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan to substitute Jockey Samuel Fargeat to ride NEARNESS OF YOU in place of the declared rider.

Jockey B.L. Paswan, the rider of SHOW TIME, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing NEARNESS OF YOU (Samuel Fargeat) on his inside approaching the 1000 Metres.

Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed horses viz:

NEARNESS OF YOU (Samuel Fargeat) sustained a cut injury on right hind fetlock.

8th Race: 46. The Saddle Up Plate Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to substitute Jockey Vivek to ride BENEDICT in place of Jockey J.H. Christopher, the declared rider.

9th Race: 47. The Antaragange Plate (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).

SPLENDID DANCER (Vinod Shinde) jumped awkwardly outwards from the gates.

Jockey Shobhan Babu, the rider of THE FIRST BULLET, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 600 Metres.

Jockey N. Rajesh, the rider of INTIZARA, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight course in the final 300 Metres of the race.

Jockey S. Mallikarjun, the rider of SMILE ALL THE WAY, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to INTIZARA (N. Rajesh) on his outside in the final 100 Metres of the race.

It was reported after the race that THE FIRST BULLET (Shobhan Babu) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

BID FOR GLORY (Jorge Horcajada) sustained a cut injury on left hock.

RACE NO.88: THE MILKYWAY PLATE - DIV. II (ABOUT) 1200 METRES. HORSES RATED 40 TO 65, 4 YEARS OLD AND OVER:

The Board of Appeal at its meeting held on Monday, 21st November 2011, considered the Appeal dated 12th October 2011 filed by Jockey R. Vaideeshwaran against the decision of the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., in suspending his Jockey's Licence from 1-11-2011 to 31-1-2012 for contravention of Rule No.159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing in respect of his mount BACK AMONG FRIENDS in the above said race.

In this connection the Board considered the following:

(a) The grounds of appeal dated 2-11-2011 furnished by Jockey R. Vaideeshwaran;
(b) Copy of the Minutes of the Meeting of the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., dated 10th October 2011; and
(c) Copy of the Minutes of the Meeting of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., dated 22nd September 2011.

The Board examined Mr. Prasanna Kumar, Spokesman for Jockey R. Vaideeshwaran, Jockey Vaideeshwaran himself and trainer Mr. Amit Caddy. After deliberations, the Board decided to:

(a) reject the appeal filed by Jockey R. Vaideeshwaran
(b) consequently revise the period of punishment in that his Jockey's licence shall stand suspended from 22-11-2011 to 21-2-2012 (both days inclusive);
(c) not to permit him ride work during the period of suspension of his Jockey's licence; and
(d) forfeit the appeal fee paid by him towards the appeal.

RACE NO.16: THE MASTER KEY PLATE - DIV. II (ABOUT) 1200 METRES. HORSES RATED 20 TO 45

The Board of Appeal at its meeting held on Monday, 21st November 2011, considered the Appeal dated 14th November 2011 filed by Jockey S. Babu against the decision of the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., in suspending his Jockey's Licence from 22-11-2011 to 31-3-2012 for contravention of Rule No.159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing in respect of his mount MAGIC WAVE in the above said race.

In this connection the Board considered the following:

(a) The grounds of appeal dated 19-11-2011 furnished by Jockey S. Babu; and
(b) Copy of the Minutes of the Meeting of the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., dated 12th November 2011.

The Board examined Jockey S. Babu and trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan. After deliberations, the Board decided to:

(a) reject the appeal filed by Jockey S. Babu
(b) not to permit him ride work during the period of suspension of his Jockey's licence;
(c) forfeit the appeal fee paid by him towards the appeal.
