False Rails :  Average width of 4.0 Metres from 1600 Metres to 1000 Metres and 8.0 Metres from 1000 Metres to the winning Post.

1st Race :    8. The Mount Joy Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 (8 Runners).

JAVANICA (M. Noornabi) accidentally brushed the false rails approaching the 1000 Metres.

JAVANICA (M. Noornabi) sustained gum injury. 

2nd  Race:    9. The Baba Khan Memorial Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over  (8 Runners).

SCARLETTE (Ryan Marshall) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced SKY DIVER (A. Feroz) soon after jumping out of the starting gates. 

3rd Race:    10. The  Mount Joy Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 (7 Runners).

Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for accepting his charge SUN RICH to run in the above race without producing the Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer when he had been specifically advised to do so. Subsequently it was permitted to be withdrawn from the above race. 

Jockey S. Gururprasad was fined Rs.2,000/- for using unserviceable equipments (girth and sircingle) on his mount BLUE MALA. Subsequently the same was changed before the start of the race.

POWERGRID (S. John) reared up as the gates opened and lost many lengths at the start.  In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. 

Jockey M.A. Gallagher, the rider of RED HOT, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Jockey R. Vaibhav, the rider of SANDHURST, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Jockey M.A. Gallagher, the rider of RED HOT, reported that his mount was not responding well especially in the last 200 Metres.  The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and was found to have burst its blood vessel.  Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

BLUE MALA (S. Guruprasad) sustained a cut injury on left fore cannon. 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g SURPRISESUCCEEDING. 

4th Race:     11. The Krishnaraja Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 80 and above (7 Runners).

As Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the declared rider of LOVELY KISS was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. Samar Singh to substitute Jockey Vivek to ride LOVELY KISS in place of the declared rider. 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f LOVELY KISS.

5th  Race:    12. The Sarb-Kla Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners).

HILL RISING (Anjar Alam) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced LAD STAR (P.S. Chouhan) soon after jumping out of the starting gates. 

Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of LAD STAR, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to VEGA (B. Sreekanth) on his outside approaching the 300 Metres. 

Jockey M. Ravi, the rider of BOURBON ROCK was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi was questioned as to the performance of his charge ARGENTUM (Ladjad Stephane) in the above race. The trainer stated that (a) the horse was running for the first time after more than 3 months; (b) it had worked well during morning work outs; (c) based on that he fancied his charge to win the race; and (d) but he was very much disappointed at its poor performance. While noting his explanations the horse was impounded for veterinary examination. The Club's Veterinary Officer reported that gr f ARGENTUM on examination (endoscopy) after the last race at 5.35 p.m. was found to have suffered from EIPH. Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from gr f ARGENTUM.





6th  Race:    13. The Air Force Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (9 Runners).                                                                  

Jockey Tauseef Ahmed, the rider of CHANTILLY JEWEL, was fined Rs.5,000/- for shifting out and causing severe interference to the horses on the outside viz. BOURNE SUPREME (F.K. Shabuddin), YOURE CHILUBULI (T. Bernard), DANCING EMERALDS (Samuel Fargeat), SMART WAYS (R. Bharath) and CURRENT RAY (Suraj Narredu) approaching the 1000 Metres.   

Jockey F.K. Shabuddin, the rider of BOURNE SUPREME, was fined Rs.3,000/- for suddenly shifting out and causing severe interference to YOURE CHILUBULI (T. Bernard) which in turn passed it on to SMART WAYS (R. Bharath) on his outside approaching the 800 Metres. 

BOURNE SUPREME (F.K. Shabuddin) sustained a cut injury on left hock and right hind coronet. 

DANCING EMERALDS (Samuel Fargeat) sustained cut injury on left fore cannon. 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f PREORDAINED. 

7th  Race:    14. The Baba Khan Memorial Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over  (9 Runners).

In a very tightly packed field approaching the 1200 Metres ANNA (A. Feroz) struck the front runner MYSTIC DAWN (B. Sreekanth) whereby the latter sustained cut injury on left hind tendon. The horse pulled up lame and the rider having to dismount before the winning post. On examination after the race it was reported to have  sustained a deep cut injury on left hind tendon exposing the superficial flexor and deep flexor tendons. Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

Jockey Naushad Alam, the rider of DANCE TO THE TUNE, reported that his mount stopped galloping in the final 200 Metres.  The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and was reported to have burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

8th  Race:    15. The Sarb-Kla Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (9 Runners).

Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for accepting his charge HILLSTONE to run in the above race without producing the Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer when he had been specifically advised to do so. Subsequently it was permitted to be withdrawn from the above race.

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. B. Puttanna to substitute Jockey B. Sreekanth to ride DELTA DELIGHT in place of the declared rider. 


Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge DELTA DELIGHT.  Subsequently `all black' emergency colours were permitted to be used. 

RISE TO GLORY (R. Bharath) accidentally hit the false rails passing the 900 Metres whereby the rider got momentarily unbalanced and had to check his mount.

Jockey T. Bernard, the rider of ROYAL PRODIGY, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 150 Metres.

Permission was granted to trainers M/s. R.R. Byramji  and G. Nityanand to deputise on behalf of trainers M/s. Darius Byramji and S. Padmanabhan respectively who were unable to attend the races.
