RACING INCIDENTS
(35 & 36)

Going : Soft
Penetrometer Reading : 5.5 Cms.

(False Rails : Average width of 5 Metres from 1600 Metres to the Winning Post.)
(There was heavy down pour before the start of the first race which continued even after the second race).

1st Race: 35. The November Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian horses 2 years old only (Terms) (7 Runners).

CHARLATAN (P. Trevor) was extremely fractious, reared up and flipped over at the starting gates. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders.

ROYAL REIN (Valdir DeSousa) jumped awkwardly outwards from the starting gates.

ROYAL REIN (Valdir DeSousa) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

EXTRA SPARK (V.R. Jagadeesh) sustained a cut injury on right hind fetlock.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f STRIKING.

2nd Race: 36. The Half A Crown Plate - Div.I - (About) 1100 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners).

Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao was fined Rs.1,000/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge REGAL HOSTESS (S. Shiva Kumar). Subsequently all black emergency ciolours were permitted to be used.

DAY TRADER (M. Noornabi) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced ANFIELD (Vivek) on its outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

It was observed that the sheep skin nose band on ANFIELD (Vivek) had come off between the 800 Metres and 700 Metres. Hence Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was fined Rs.2,000/- for his negligence in not fastening the sheep skin nose band properly on his charge.

In view of the persistent rain rendering race track not conducive for racing, the Stewards decided to cancel the last seven races i.e. race Nos. 3 to 9 programmed for the above day.

(A)

20. The Mount Joy Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Fr'co F Dasilva the rider of OUR LOVE to the Stewards for not permitting his mount to run on its merits (Rule No. 159 (a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing). The Stewards held an enquiry on 22-11-2012 and examined Trainer Mr. J S Dhariwal spokesman for Jockey Fr'co F Dasilva, the jockey himself and Mr. R V Manohar the trainer of the horse. After deliberations the Stewards decided to

(a) declare Jockey Fr'co F Dasilva a disqualified person under the BTC Rules of Racing with effect from 7-12-2012 to 6-12-2013 for not permitting his mount OUR LOVE to run on its merits in the above race, thus contravening Rule No 159 (a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing; and

(b) fine trainer Mr. R V Manohar a sum of Rs.20,000/- for tendering unsatisfactory explanations during the Stewards enquiry.

21. The Master Key Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Suraj Narredu the rider of ICELANDER to the Stewards for contravention of Rule No 159 (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount ICELANDER in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry on 22-11-2012 and examined Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala and Jockey Suraj Narredu. After deliberations the Stewards decided to modify the charge levied on Jockey Suraj Narredu as injudicious manner of riding (Rule No.161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount ICELANDER in the above race. Consequently they decided to:

(a) suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey Suraj Narredu from 2-12-2012 to 7-12-2012 and fine him a sum of Rs.5,000/- for riding in an injudicious manner (Rule No.161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount ICELANDER in the above race(permitted to ride work).
(b) note the explanations tendered by Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala.

22. The Garden City Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 80 and above

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Anjar Alam, the rider of SHOW TIME to the Stewards for incompetent riding (Rule No. 161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount SHOW TIME in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry on 22-11-2012 and examined Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala and Jockey Anjar Alam. After deliberations the Stewards decided to (a) caution Jockey Anjar Alam that he should make every effort to improve his riding in future and (b) caution Mr. Irfan Ghatala to be more judicious in the selection of riders for his charges in future.
