1st Race : 10. The Somnathpur Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (7 Runners).

As Jockey J. Pradeep, the declared rider of ANGAD, was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Samar Singh to substitute Jockey B.L. Paswan to ride ANGAD in place of the declared rider.

The trotting action of CASH THE CHEQUE (A. Ramu) was observed to be scratchy on the way to the starting gates. Subsequently it was examined by the Club's Veterinary Officer at the starting gates and was found to be lame on left fore. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's orders. Trainer Mr. Amit Caddy was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of POLE POSITION, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing SMART EDITION (P.S. Chouhan) on his outside passing the 400 Metres.

SMART EDITION (P.S. Chouhan) could not get a clear run passing the 300 Metres due to a closely packed field.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g DIVINE STRIKE.

2nd Race: 11. The Madras Race Club Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. For 3 years old Indian Horses (Foaled in 2009) (Terms) (5 Runners).

FORTHCOMING (P.S. Chouhan) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c CECIL.




3rd Race: 12. The Sarb-Kla Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (13 Runners).

MY LAW (Mohd. Feroz) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Jockey K. Raja Rao, the rider of DESERT DELIGHT, reported that his right stirrup snapped passing the 1200 Metres and to gain balance he removed his left leg also from the stirrup and as such he could not offer any assistance to his mount throughout the race. On examination of the equipment it was found to have been otherwise well maintained and hence no further action was taken beyond noting the incident.

Jockey Mohd. Feroz, the rider of MY LAW, was reprimanded for the inept handling of his mount during the race.

Jockey Valdir De Sousa, the rider of SUMMERS BREEZE, was fined Rs.5,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount during the race.

POTOMAC (Vivek) sustained a cut injury on right hind pastern.

4th Race : 13. The Somnathpur Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (8 Runners).

Jockey M. Kumar, the rider of DIAMOND FLAME, was fined Rs.1,000/-for shifting in and causing interference to FRUIT KING (M. Noornabi) on his inside passing the 900 Metres.

Jockey S. John, the rider of BRIGADE'S PASSION, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to SUPREME REGENT (B. Sreekanth) on his inside rounding the final bend.

Jockey A. Ashok Kumar, the rider of WONDER LASH, reported that he could not get a clear run approaching the 300 Metres due to a closely packed field.

SUPREME REGENT (B. Sreekanth) sustained cut injury on both hind fetlock.

5th Race: 14. The Dandeli Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (11 Runners).

SACHIMORE (M. Noornabi) reared up as the gates opened, swerved to the left and dislodged its rider and ran riderless. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Approaching the 900 Metres in a tightly packed field BLACK BEAUTY (Himanshu) struck the front runner JEWEL LADY (P. Mani) and stumbled dislodging its rider and ran riderless.

It was reported after the race that BLACK BEAUTY (Himanshu) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of JEYEM, reported that his mount was hanging 'in' after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was questioned regarding the poor performance of his charge b g LADZONE and also as to the reason for the horse running as a prime favourite in the above race. The Trainer stated that (a) this horse had won a race in 40 to 65 category in the age group during last Winter Meeting over a distance of 1200 Metres; (b) thereafter it has gradually come down in rating; (c) today he was running it in 20 to 45 category in a relatively mediocre company; (d) it had worked well along with a decent 3 year old in his yard; (e) based on all these factors he fancied this horse very much to win the race and accordingly informed the connections in his stable; and (e) he was totally shocked at its poor performance and could not understand as to how it ran such a poor race. His explanations were noted.

LADZONE (S. John) was impounded for veterinary examination until around 5:30 p.m. but no abnormality was reported.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b g LADZONE.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m OCEANIC WIND.

6th Race: 15. The Krishnaraja Trophy - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 80 and above (8 Runners).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b h CAMORRA.

7th Race: 16. The Punjab Stud Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).

Jockey B.L. Paswan, the rider of CHUL BUL PANDY, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing BRABUS SPEED (M. Noornabi) on his inside passing the 150 Metres.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c CHUL BUL PANDY.

8th Race: 17. The Sarb-Kla Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (13 Runners).

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Samar Singh to substitute Jockey B.L. Paswan to ride EXWHYZED in place of the declared rider.

EXWHYZED (B. L. Paswan) was slowly away and refused to raise a fluent gallop thereafter and ran detached from the field. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Jockey Tauseef Ahmed, the rider of NEXT MOVE was reprimanded for coming in sharply before passing the red marker post.

Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of FIRELIGHT was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to CASH IS KING (A. R. Pradeep) on his inside approaching the 1100 Metres.

LOYAL KING (P. Kiran Rai) gradually fell back and ran detached from the field after passing the 500 Metres. Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
