1st Race: 241. The Infants Plate Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (8 Runners)

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of TRANSFORMER, was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming in an improper attire to the weighing room for the days races.

CALLIGRAPHY (Vinod Shinde) was extremely fractious, reared up and fell over at the starting gates. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders.

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of TRANSFORMER, reported that his mount was hanging in after entering the straight. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of ROYAL REIN, reported that he could not get a clear run approaching the 300 Metres due to a closely packed field.

MISTER GREY (K.P.G. Appu) sustained bleeding cut injury on right hock.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f LAGOONA.

2nd Race: 242. The Kollegal Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (8 Runners)

Jockey Y.S. Srinath was fined Rs.2,000/- for failing to draw the declared weight at the scales to ride his mount I SAY in the above race. Subsequently permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Darius R Byramji to substitute Jockey Ryan Marshall in place of Jockey Y S Srinath, the declared rider.

I SAY (Ryan Marshall ) was slowly away and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

It was reported after the race that CHERELLE (M. Ravi) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Karan Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

It was reported after the race that the left fore shoe of SANS FRONTIERES (David Allan) had apparently come off during the race.

Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of ATHLETIC STAR, was severely reprimanded for exulting before passing the winning post.

CHERELLE (M. Ravi) sustained a bleeding cut injury on left hind cannon.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b g ATHLETIC STAR.

3rd Race: 243. The Infants Plate Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (8 Runners)

Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.1,000/- for making an error in the starting declaration in respect of his charge ABSOLUTE RED as regards signature.

Jockey Y.S. Srinath was fined Rs.2,000/- for failing to make the declared weight at the scales to ride his mount MAN OF VISION in the above race. Subsequently permission was granted to Trainer Mr. J.S. Dhariwal to substitute Jockey R. Vaibhav in place of Jockey Y S Srinath, the declared rider.

ABSOLUTE RED (P. Trevor) jumped awkwardly inwards soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

ANMOL HIRA (A. Ashhad Asbar) accidentally stumbled approaching the 1000 Metres.

Jockey Ryan Marshall, the rider of CAPITALIZE, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing ABSOLUTE RED (P. Trevor) on his inside approaching the 250 Metres.

Jockey R. Vaibhav, the rider of MAN OF VISION, reported that his mount was hanging out throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported. Trainer Mr. J S Dhariwal was informed to get it checked by his veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures and in view of its continuous erratic behaviour he was further informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

It was reported after the race that the right fore shoe of ABSOLUTE RED (P. Trevor) had apparently come off during the race.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c INVINCIBLE PRINCE.

4th Race: 244. The Bandipur Trophy - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners)

HILL COUNTRY (Babu Singh) after jumping out swerved towards the right, did not raise a fluent gallop and ran detached from the field. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

APARANTA (T.S. Jodha) was pulled up by its rider approaching the 500 Metres. On immediate examination by the Club's Veterinary Officer it was found to be lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Saddam Hussain, the rider of DEEP BLUE SEA, placed 2nd by the Judge objected against Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of OPEN PAGE, placed 1st, for "the winner bumped and bored me near 350 Metres and after that continuously rolling in and tightening me whereby I had to stop riding which cost me a certain race." The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and examined the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, the Stewards decided to overrule the objection.

Subsequent to the objection being overruled, the Stewards decided to forfeit the deposit of Rs.2,500/- paid by the Jockey Saddam Hussain for lodging the objection.

Jockey F.K. Shahbuddin, the rider of RED ADMIRAL, placed 3rd by the Judge objected against Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of OPEN PAGE, placed 1st, for "shifting continuously from 200 Metres and taking my ground which cost me the race." The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and examined the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, the Stewards decided to overrule the objection.

Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of OPEN PAGE, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not maintaining a straight course in the final 200 Metres of the race.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey F K Shabuddin to the Stewards for Unsatisfactory Riding (Rule No.161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount RED ADMIRAL in the above race. The Stewards held enquiry on 16th March, 2013 after the last race and examined Trainer Mr. S Narredu and Jockey F K Shabuddin. After deliberations, the Stewards decided as follows (a) to note the explanations tendered by Trainer Mr. S Narredu; and (b) should the Jockey's licence be granted to Jockey F K Shabuddin for the year 2013-14, the same shall stand suspended from 18-5-2013 to 19-5-2013 (both days inclusive) for Unsatisfactory Riding (Rule No.161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount RED ADMIRAL (permitted to ride work).

5th Race: 245. The Nilgiris Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 to 85 (11 Runners)

Jockey Ryan Marshall, the rider of ANONYMOUS, reported that he could not get a clear run passing the 300 Metres due to a closely packed field.

It was reported after the race that SWEET SURRENDER (N Rajesh) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. G. Nityanand was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

It was reported after the race that VOLCANO (Arshad Alam) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

SWEET SURRENDER (N. Rajesh) sustained cut injuries on both fore fetlock.

ESTEBAN (Saddam Hussain) sustained cut injuries on left hind cannon.

6th Race: 246. The Bagalkote Plate Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (11 Runners)

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to withdraw PERFECT SPEED on veterinary grounds as it was suffering from colic. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

ABBYS BABY (M.D. Praveen) ran detached form the field. Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

Jockey Afsar, the rider of ATTRACTOR, was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing winning post.

ASTONISHING (J.H. Christopher) sustained a cut injury on right hind cannon.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m MAGNOMICAL.

7th Race: 247. The March Plate - (About) 1100 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (11 Runners)

Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.1,000/- for making an error in the starting declaration in respect of his charge VIGOROUS (B.L. Paswan) as regards signature.

SONG OF HOPE (K. Raja Rao) after jumping out swerved towards the right, did not raise a fluent gallop and did not take any practical part in the race. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. Karan Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

VIGOROUS (B.L. Paswan) accidentally stumbled dislodging its rider rounding the final bend, ATTITUDE XTREME (Ryan Marshall) which was travelling directly behind hit the prostrated horse and dislodged its rider as a result RAKSHITHA (V.R. Jagadeesh) which was travelling behind the latter also had to be checked by its rider and shift out.

CASH MY WAY (Ashhad Asbar) sustained a skin cut (abrasion) injury on left hind cannon.

VIGOROUS (B L Paswan) sustained a cut injury on left hind fetlock.





8th Race: 248. The Bagalkote Plate Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (11 Runners)

CHAMPAGNE ON ICE (Babu Singh) reared up and flipped over on the way to the starting gates. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starters orders. On immediate examination the Club's veterinary officer reported that it was found to have sustained fracture of pelvis and hence was euthanised.

Jockey M D Praveen, the rider of TRILLION WIN was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming in and causing interference to DIAMOND FLAME (V R Jagadeesh) passing the 1100 Metres.

Jockey M Mark, the rider of SIGNIFIES reported that he lost his whip passing the 150 Metres.

SIGNIFIES (M Mark) sustained cut injury on left hind fetlock and hock.

208. The Siddaganga Plate-(About) 1400 Metres, for horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over.

On an application made by Jockey Afsar Khan for staying the punishment of disqualification imposed on him from 15-3-2013 to 14-3-2014 by the Stewards for contravening Rule No.159(a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing i.e. for not permitting his mount LIVING LEGEND to run on merits in the above race, the Board of Appeal decided to stay the operation of the punishment till the appeal was heard and finally disposed of by it.
